I have an 8a and that’s why I’m watching videos because the 8a is not a great or even good phone. I lose signal everywhere the screen has really bad color shift if you’re not looking at it at the exact right angle. You I wouldn’t recommend the pixel 8a to anyone. It is a frustrating and unreliable phone. I would rather an iPhone 8 over the pixel at this point.

I think this cellphone was geared towards non tech savvy consumers like seniors! my 85 yr old mother asked me to get her a basic and simple to use cellphone with a good battery and fast charging; the Motorola Edge 2024 seems to meet her needs. She loves how it grippy and light it feels to hold in her hands. She loves the fact that it is extremely affordable for what it offers; super fast charging and long battery life. The pictures and videos she gets on her cellphone from her grandkids and family members look bright, colorful, and sharp, too! $299 for a cellphone that is fast charging and with long battery life is a well priced bargain. I just bought one told hold me over as my OnePlus 12 screen gets replaced. I took a fall and so did my phone. I'm a high end phone guy and always have been. But to be honest I'm loving this little thing. It plays all my games fine, text and phone is great. Sure it doesn't take perfect photos like my 12 does but Im not expecting it to either. That said what it does do with a different camera app is pretty darn good to frank. The other thing that shocked me this thing charges just as fast as my OnePlus. Which actually insane. I have a 280watt charger so im never down 👇 on ports or charge power but this was very unexpected... I paid 307 for with tax. What I got for that money is really nice phone and a great curved screen which I prefer.. Few days from now I will be putting my newer nano coating on the screen and that will be it. I normally use my Nexus 5 as a backup "don't laugh its a great programming project ROM phone" but with 2g calling gone on alote of towers now I can't keep a call going from tower to tower where I live. Most it has been upgraged with 5g wideband. Anyway just thought I would comment since I use high end phones and someone might want to know what someone like me thinks of this little beast. I only don't like a couple things about the Motorola edge 2024 their fonts totally sucks I even tried to get third party fonts that didn't work the icons big deal you can change their shape but it's still just the same old ugly icons trying to get a good phone case for it good luck all the phone cases for it sucks big time everything else about the phone I love great volume especially when I'm partially deaf great for viewing like RUclips or movie apps in my opinion it is better than the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra battery lasts a lot better than the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra volume is way better all and all id pick Motorola just wish they would change some of things and for the love of God start putting the wall charger and phone case back in the box don't be like Samsung or iPhone or Google their just being cheap but want a bundle of cash cash for the phone give the people what they want and you will always have loyal customers you don't give the people what they want you will lose the loyal customers
This phone doesn't compete w the phones you mentioned. It's a direct competitor to the Galaxy A55. Also, it's the first edge since the 2020 edge plus that's worth buying IMO for the current sale price (even then it's a downgrade in some respects). You can buy an Anker 100w charger or so that works for like $30-50
Honestly, I feel like I was WAY too hard on this phone in retrospect. Besides for the camera and form factor (it was a bit too skinny and thin to hold without a case), the battery life was amazing, the screen and resolution was gorgeous, and the processor was pretty efficient. I think of all these that I listed, this phone is probably #2 to the Pixel 8A IMO but I'm a lover of Pixels so lol
@@ty_techofficial you weren't too hard on it at $550. But at $299 its a viable option. I find that switching Motos out every 2-3 years saves a lot of money because the one you still have you can resell for like $100-150 (assuming you bought that one and the next one on sale in $200-350 range). Edges are the best for that reason and good work phones. not quite free phone swaps but close to it. And I'm with Verizon.
I own the Motorola Edge 2024. I would never recommend it due to the Bluetooth earbuds low volume. lost several hours with representatives ending with sending it to them for repair. Just don't do it
Well Samsung still doing curved panels with their Galaxy especially on S23 so I don't see what the difference if Motorola still doing theirs on the Edge 😂jk haha.... I heard a lot of people giving good reviews to the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 phone anyway. Have you did a review on that yet?
@Ty Tech! : Motorola doesn't owe you any explanations...lol. For all you know, they could be working on the better version for next year. It takes a lot of time, effort, and research. The iphone isn't brand new with groundbreaking features every year either...
This is very true. If I was doing an apple review on a phone, I'd call them out for thr same thing. When they tried to sell using the same processor in the 14 as they did in the 13, I literally laughed out loud lol when the 16s come out, and if they do that shit, I'll harp on them for that too don't worry lol

I only don't like a couple things about the Motorola edge 2024 their fonts totally sucks I even tried to get third party fonts that didn't work the icons big deal you can change their shape but it's still just the same old ugly icons trying to get a good phone case for it good luck all the phone cases for it sucks big time everything else about the phone I love great volume especially when I'm partially deaf great for viewing like RUclips or movie apps in my opinion it is better than the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra battery lasts a lot better than the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra volume is way better all and all id pick Motorola just wish they would change some of things and for the love of God start putting the wall charger and phone case back in the box don't be like Samsung or iPhone or Google their just being cheap but want a bundle of cash cash for the phone give the people what they want and you will always have loyal customers you don't give the people what they want you will lose the loyal customers
i got it it for free at metro, so i cant really complain, love it for what it is. Tho i cant see paying $550 for this phone.
Loved the phone I thought it was snappy and loud very bright. And I mean 560$ 144hrz screen OLED hdr10 plus ect. Plus thus things games great.
399 at Best buy. Now how is that for a bargain?
Carriers like metro and T-Mobile sell it for 299 and metro New lines it's almost free
I wish we got the flagship Motorola Edge Ultra in the States, I would probably use those over pixels if they were available over here
@@ty_techofficial 💯
It’s free on Metro. Pay $75 one month for an unlimited plan and then drop it.
Now what’s the value proposition? 😂
I own the Motorola Edge 2024. I would never recommend it due to the Bluetooth earbuds low volume. lost several hours with representatives ending with sending it to them for repair. Just don't do it
I didn’t notice that at all when I used my Nothing Ear (2)s with the Edge 2024! Thank you for bringing that up!
Is it waterproof pls i need to know
Not waterPROOF. Water resistant though, 1.5m for 30 mins
No phones completely waterproof lol
You could just get a case so it could be water proof
Your the only person putting the moto edge down
I'm glad I watched this. I don't want a s--tsundae. Thanks.
I will be!
I'll laugh you say the stylus 5g 2024 is better than the edge my best friend has it me the edge no contest edge is better
Motorola edge +2023 is on sale for $550 cad. $50 cheaper than the edge 2024. Which one should I get?
Edge+ 2023 definitely, that was one of my favorite phones of 2023. Made me put down my pixel 7 pro for a while tbh
This is actually a great phone. This dude is weird lol
Should have reviewed the edge ultra
Trust me, i want to! From what I’ve read, it’s not available in the US yet and I’ve never attempted to order a phone from overseas before
My carrier is offering this phone if you buy 3 months of service. I have to buy the service anyway. Free sounds good for even toaster quality
Think it's funny how people knock other brands for certain reasons..then praise apple 🍎 for doing the same lol funny
Do you know if it’s good for gaming
I would say no after my use. Asphalt 9 made it warm after about 20 mins with me. Genshin Impact did the same
Having a designated button to assign to run any app is not new and Apple didn’t come up with that or the camera button either.. Apple just recycled that
Apple didnt invent the quick action button. Lol
Exactly
Motorola didn't either apple copied Samsung and the Motorola copied Apple so your point?
Why do people do videos and don't show the phone the camera and speakers they just talk and show clips of the phone
It looked like you was annoyed the entire time with this review😂😂😂 They reach way too high in pricing when it comes to the edge 2024 it's not worth it at best 400.00 no more than 450.00 moto g stylus 2024 stole the show in the mid range segment of moto devices
Truthfully, I was 😂 personally I love reviews where I can be a bit more negative cause it’s a bit more real and I usually try to find the positive side and pros to products cause I know people work hard on them. But this phone isn’t worth it to me at all
@@ty_techofficial no I know you do but I know I was just as annoyed with this device to price ratio with Motorola they do this every year I love Motorola phones they charge way more than there worth
@allenblaine2793 also very true lol
The stylus isn't as good as the edge
This phone is not as bad as he makes it out to be but the price is stupid! I got it for free through Metro but if I couldn't get it for free I definitely wouldn't want to spend more than 150$ for it
Dude has iPhone boxes all over Wall , iPhone Simp!!
They make good decoration, what can I say lol
jus bought this for 130
I own this phone and the curved display is not for me it felt too slim even my moto g play 2024 looks better for me
This review was trash!
I'm about done with Motorola
Apple copied Moto on the quick action button bro.
I'ma get the edge to plus 2023
My 2 gen IPhone SE benchmarks better then this phone
Honestly, doesn’t surprise me 😂
That's because the se has a flagship processor in it so of course it's going to benchmark better....... 🤦🏾♂️
Most the time the edge 2024 is free find me a prepaid carrier phone that single cores 1k and multi cores 3k and with great battery life and probably the best screen on any phone not a flagship I'll wait edge is great
The only thing for me here, canada, is they don't offer update, sad
I got mine for $31 dollars lol
Having a designated button to assign to run any app is not new and Apple didn’t come up with that or the camera button either.. Apple just recycled that
Samsung s7 and S8 active made that up
