- This is a League of Legends guide where I use of Lux Gameplay to get better at LoL. It is a lol Support Guide where I play Support for 10 Hours.

as a lux player, i dont think anyone has ever tried to make lux seem like a complex champ ever
I heard lux players that said they are winning midlane dispise using a support
I had a lux in game who said that lux is harder then yasuo and azir. But sche probably was just an exception

Her kit is very simple. But what is hard about her is that you have to have perfect positioning, and very good map awareness so you don’t get ganked. You also have to very carefully police your ability use so that you don’t waste q and get instantly dove on. If anyone ever gets on top of you then you are dead.
@@sergioq94Lux *was* designed as a midlaner mage. She is like one of the oldest examples of a longrange mage with strong CC and burst spells.
The fact that over years her kit proved too simple to keep up with some alternatives, the fact that her passive puts her at risk unless used part of her combos and that her W doesn't really coordinate with the rest of her Burst Mage identity (Orianna shield also allows her to reposition her Ball, which has a huge impact on the plays she can make, Lux W doesn't relate to anything) all combine into her role in mid being left behind as her popularity in support skyrocketed due to how strong her early levels can be

I met a 5 mil mastery Emerald 2 Lux player in ARAM & basically they just chill as close to tower as possible while within auto range of minions & step forward for poke whenever their abilities are off cooldown. It was incredibly revealing when they land pretty much every single ability where I am terrible at that
I also saw a Lux mains walk up to ou face in ARAM and throw her abilities at a weird angle every single time, catching people off guard. I think the good mains get creative rather than stay back.
So they do nothing and sit under tower all game like a normal lux? Hm, why am I not surprised
@@maysi48 Oh hey care to explain what else can she do? Solo drake maybe? Oh wait yes i know she can counter-jungle solo. True true she can also dash around or knock you up in melee range at scuttle. Like for fk sake thats how the champion is designed. How does a Xerath play? Riiiight thats different cus Xerath is a Maaaale champion so we only talk shit about Lux and how she is sooo easy cus of her range. Riight right.... :)

@@onecore2083 Because why? Xerath has longer range than Lux, He has a stun while she has a snare. So if you cc the enemy super close to you. Xerath can run away easier unlike Lux who can still die from the enemy just its not stopping them from attacking just moving. They both have a super long range slow , and an obnoxiously long range ult. You can almost never run out of mana with Xerath if you manage his passive right and he can farm so much safer with his Q+W while still keeping the E for escapes while Lux can barely oneshot the wave with E and has to keep Q for the escapes while managing her mana. And yes i know Lux has a shield but when every assassin goes armor pen and shield break items it might give you a millisecond longer life. So i would say honestly they are the exact same level.
Also the whole argument i took up on Xerath is that his playstyle is very very similar to Lux, mainly standing under his tower shitting out lazers. But only Lux gets flamed and hated on because Xerath is a MALE champion so its SOOOO DIFFERENT.
But go ahead explain why Lux is soo different and so much easier i'm interested.

With the Riven Reddit drama, Nemesis made a short saying that Draven was much harder than Riven, since you already learned Riven, perhaps you could confirm for us if he is right.
The Riven Reddit drama was basically some Redditor saying her low pick rate was because no one put forth the time and effort needed to learn her animation cancels and she was too difficult to learn which is why she has a low win rate and pick rate in top lane. Nemesis said something along the lines of that being a typical bronze opinion and that it was her lack of sustain which made people not play her and that Draven was harder to pick up and learn than Rivens fast Q animation cancels. I think I also saw Alois say that it was her lack of sustain so one bad trade could easily ruin her entire game. But that’s all I saw maybe someone else can leave a more in-depth comment in the replies.
I would like a vid on Viego, I have picked him up recently and only plays him now, I feel like people think you have to know what every champ does to play him but thats just not the case
Got to love how characters feel similar if they are blood related. Both Lux and Garen are simple to start. Yasuo and Yone and so on. That means good design right? Not related to game balance.
Will you try Soraka next? The queen of healer archetype. Maybe can be good or decent in any lane(not jungle)

Lux is my second most played champion. Her skill in lane comes from positioning and being able to auto for passive procs. I very rarely take first strike, I much prefer the earlier damage of electrocute + cheap shot.
And even though it feels good to get a pick and one-shot a squishy, sometimes how you have to carry a team-fight is wait for the perfect moment to hit multiple people, even if they don't die immediately.

Pretty 4D chess move says she’s better at the role she has a lower win rate at lol. She has a multisecond snare and an e that slows (and lasts for 5 seconds). There’s people out there playing Vel Koz, and you think this champ does not have enough to jazz to play mid lane with fairly good CC options because she’s low mobility? I think a mark was majorly missed here lol, champ is totally fine as a mid lane and is a B tier support tops.
I know many lux players use the same rune as you, but as a 74%W/R lux player let me sugest that you go comet on main rune (with mana, cdr and the burning ones in that path) and reds (bonus dmg on CCed enemies and ult cdr), this setup (and barrier instead of tp) you can win almost every lane easy, get your advantage and control the game from there
and yeah, lux is an easy champion, the hard part in playing her are good spacing and map awareness, but this two things should be learned by every player (unless you play jax or master yi)

You should have played with flash and barrier on lux(when mid). Barrier will save your behind.
Funny enough, support Lux is actually a meme because in such a chaotic lane she dies so fast. Just at a quick glance you're too quick to use R when you land Q, when R would be overkill. For laning the goal is to hit 6 then E R the waves and roam/secure herald/drake, etc. Lux wins through passive pick making plays, so it's a matter of just waiting for the enemy players to int themselves into a Lux binding. Also I prefer to just start dark seal and ditch the tear. Mana is a struggle early on but if you maximize the number of minions you hit with E and get your empowered autos off its not so bad when farming.
If u want to play lux mid u take barrier instead of teleport since it allows you to survive long enough to kill the enemy with ridiculous damage, and if they push tower just ult minions while u come back

Before watching: Honnestly, Lux is not AS easy as a champion as most people say, she heavily relies on hitting skillshots and while her E is like impossible to miss she still isn't one of the easiest champions in my book. And also I do like how basic her kit is compared to the newest champion Huawei
I am not excited about Huawei tbh I feel like there is a time when champs get TOO complicated and it ruins the fun
She's pretty damn easy still.
Like barely above Annie tier and nothing compared to the likes of Zoe or VK
She is, stop coping, she's the most basic mage in league period, Her E is as easy to hit as nasus E and varus E, her E has a slow like varus E which means if you have a brain you use E then Q while they are slowed.

The only issue Lux design currently has are two.
1) W doesn't relate at all with the rest of her kit.
Orianna can reposition the Ball to herself or allies, allowing her to setup W and R, or simply recover it from bad positions without walking back. Seraphine W triggers her passive. Lux shield is just unrelated from everything she does.
2) Her ability to shut down any play in Mid lane is extreme. Lux can't really win some lanes, but she basically can't lose it either. By virtue of her range, safety tools and great waveclear she can keep playing as long as she has mana.
as a lux otp, i love her kit. The shield is amazing for sustain during 1v1s and also really useful on early teamfights and saving your jungler; it may not be related to the rest of her kit but it is extremely useful. Regarding your second point, lux actually has a lot of lane winning potential; you just have to play safe under turret until reaching level 6, wait for the enemy midlaner to get greedy and they will eventually die to your turret or your jungler. Roaming bot a lot of times means getting a free kill. It is also very important to always stay behind, better if behind walls. Warding and vision is ESSENTIAL on her. Using the e's passive vision is very important too.

Do Zoe and I will subscribe. I am a Zoe OTP and I laugh every time my tilted enemies claim she is ez mode. One of the hardest champs to climb with through low elos imo, due to being so team reliant and falling off hard if you cant close out games before 25 minutes.
I was a Zoe 1.1million otp, I gave her up once I reached emerald because she's fucking useless after 25 minutes. It's hard to close out games in ranked because people don't actually focus on ending. If decisions and player movements were more concise and efficient it would be easy. Zoe sucks late game. Now I just main Lux and have a 70% wr

So you basically proved that she's harder than all the champions so far in your challenges because you couldn't carry as a midlaner and had to let others carry you while playing her as a support like all the losers. No offense to you, but this applies to all the "mains" that play their champions support instead of their original carry role. It's basically admitting that you don't have the talent to play them properly. Examples: Xerath, Lux, Brand, Ziggs APC, Vel'Koz.
It sounds like he’s saying that Lux is simple if you have perfect positioning, awareness of ganks, and never miss or waste your q. If you’re doing all that perfectly I’m sure she would be easy.
@@justinvonmoss6925 pretty much, but those skills are esoteric, hard to quantify or notice when done well or not. This is why I think high skill ceiling champions are actually easier than low skill ceiling champions, because after you reach the skill ceiling, there's not a perfect plateau, there's a fuzzy area where you have to improve these former mentioned skills that are hard to grasp and improve consciously and hardly any people have the patience to keep playing and improve a skill that you're not even conscious of, and your winrate barely improves but it does. Meanwhile high skill ceiling champions have obvious skills to improve, and their success improves because it tries to compensate for the perceived difficulty to the point where you have greater success without the skills the lower skill ceiling players had to hone to perfection

As an master otp lux mid I can say that her kit is easy but what makes her difficult to play in mid is her positioning, I can win lane against any mid, all you need to do it is abuse your range so when they have low hp you can position yourself more aggressively knowing that they wont be able to win any trade because of your poke. 👍

To sum it up.
Lux is not a midlaner...
She is weird champ, she is too immobile for mid, and she's too strong to be fair as a sup (and riot will never nerf her because a lot of people maining her)
Lux is not a midlaners for players who don't have the talent to play her there. And I'd love to see them nerf support Lux and buff mid. Reduce base damage, increase scaling, remove AP from support items. Do the same for Xerath, Brand, Velkoz
