  • The Game Changer is an ultra realistic baitfish pattern with an articulated swimming action. The game changer was developed by visionary fly tier Blane Chocklett and continues to be a staple fly pattern in any predatory angler's fly box. The game changer is a little tricky to tie, and they take some practice. But once you figure them out and tie a few, you will have a very durable long lasting baitfish streamer pattern that really works!

So I’ve seen on other articulated flys that they trim in between each of the sections to unrestrict body movement is it necessary or does this pattern move just as well without having to do that , I haven’t tied one yet to try and find out ? 🤔

I’m a bit late, but the hair in between does restrict movement but not much

Can you offer any tips on ensuring this thing keels properly in the water? I find that some of mine try and ride on their side.

bigger hook makes a better keel, especially on an active retrieve or in a current, try using a spinnerbait or siwash hook

I know this is a late response but to keel the fly you can tie in 10-15 wraps of lead wire (similar to nymph) lower on the bend of the hooks to add keel weight.

Can and how could you add a stinger hook?

See how the first shank starts off open? Simply pass the end of the shank through the eye of your stinger hook before you close it up with your thread!

Is there an economical alternative to this intruder wire? I have a hard time paying $6 for 3 feet of wire.

Beading wire works the same. 300 feet for just over $8 at Walmart by me

Love to see wire cutters instead of scissors, it’s unfair to beginners fly tiers as it will wreck a new pair of scissors in one cut. Please find a tool made for cutting wire.
