  • I gave some of my strawberry runners and free compost to a neighbour. Then decided to dig up my volunteer potato plant. Sowed seeds and tidied up before making my tea with my free potatoes 😀

Hello, I just discover your channel yesterday and have binge watching your videos.
I grew up in a farm and we use to grow potatoes from sprouted ones, not cuttings. the sprouted potatoes give bigger plants with more bulbs. Also if a potato have multiple sprouts you can cut the potato so each piece has a sprout, so one potato can give you multiple plants.

Welcome, yes I usually grow sprouted potatoes but I’d seen someone grow from cuttings so I thought I’d give it a try.

Hi Jill. Thanks for your beautiful laid back & gentle gardening style. My lovely small garden has gone wild this year... as I lost interest due to some events in my life. Gardening is my favourite 'thing' in life & loosing interest was a shock that I could get so low.
After watching this lovely video today... it got me outside again & I did some 'pottering' in the garden.. And the garden has welcomed me back after waiting so patiently for so long... Regards & best wishes. Rose 🌼

Very interesting, I have never heard of growing potatoes from leaf cutting before so I will be interested to soo how you get on. I dug my first potato plant grown in a large plant pot the other day, the 5 potatoes were a good size with a few quiet small ones but enough to make me two meals maybe even 3 meals.

I find your gardening videos really useful and inspiring, you do so well in such a small space.
I've just been out to my vegetable patch to see if the slugs have left anything standing and to scatter some seeds on the ground to see if I can keep up with them. This is looking like good year for potatoes so that at least is a success!

Wonderful video.👍😀 Your plants are doing very nicely. The Florida heat is killing all of mine now. I bought a sunshade for next year. Hope it will help. Yummy looking dinner.😋 You do a fantastic job of eating well at very little expense, and the presentation is beautiful. Have a productive week. 🌱🍃🌿🍓

I'm really interested to see if that with the cuttings 🌱🥔🌱✂️will work. I haven't been very successful of growing carrots 🥕 in my garden as well. In my parents garden it was very easy because the soil was different.

I think you can stretch to a garden fork even if you get one 2nd hand from a car boot sale, you may have had more potatoes under there if you dug further 🤷‍♀️

  • @bluefoxblitz8416

😮 here was I thinking that you were creating a green monster face, but it had a potato out of place. It looks like a New Zealand tiki or an Indonesian goddess. I get excited lifting potato as it is like finding eggs in the chook house. My oven is broken and so is the fan in the bathroom. I got a new oven and fan for $1400. But now the electrician wants another $800 to install them. 😢😢 seriously too much for anything now. My daughter is pleased today though. She is marching around the house in a pair of epic black Italian boots I picked up for $57 delivered from a charity shop. They are $800 new. But even our charity shops are expensive now. They ask $400 for wedding dresses that are revolting when I can get them on eBay for $130. Everything has gone professional. I am stocking up on coffee at present. I have a bad feeling about Algol (medusa planet) hanging around in mid July, so I am getting ready with coffee so I'm too full if caffeine to turn to stone or a couch potato. Then I am doing toilet paper and then laundry detergent. I get these in bulk for the year. With 4 bums, we do a roll a day. It is unbelievable.😊😊Belinda

Algol is not a planet but a fixed star at 26 taurus. Uranus and Mars make a conjunction on July 15th but the impact will last much longer. As a mundane astrologer I have to be careful not to alarm people with what this means to us but expect some big event in the world. Take care

@@angelenaboden yes, it is traditionally foreboding. I like to see the medusa head as a protector, as it was used for defense after decapitated. It is clearly indicating that I need to buy some Versace and strut my stuff! However, the "head" is on every currency... I wonder if it literally means "the bucks stop", we have already had firework explosions going off in Australia in a factory fire. And a father tried to murder his family by burning down the house (3 died)...explosive alright. I am hoping that it is just Versace time not WW3.🤣💜

@@bluefoxblitz8416 what a great reply. Some astrologers are looking to Japan for the event. I've looked at the chart for Japan and yes I see what they mean
