- Finaly done! Sorry this one took so long! So far in my journey Galar was probably my favorite in regards to vibes during gym battles, but my least favorite in regards to story and roster. But I still had a lot of fun! Plus there's some DLC I can do later too. Anyway, on to Paldea!

Technically, Let's Go was the first mainline Pokémon game on the Switch, but I understand what you mean. It's a huge blessing to see someone who DOESN'T despise these games with a burning passion. :)

Let's go has a special place in my heart as the first Pokémon game I ever played but I don't really play it anymore

I wish galar got a better game/games but if we get a legends game in galar and they fix a lot of swsh’s issues then I will play it no matter what. If there’s still graphic problems and things like that, then that’s a shame but I’m still try it. I loved legend’s arceus.

It’s a good region, but a bad game. You can’t convince me that sword and shield is a well made game when the freaking box legendary (zamazenta specifically) has that tuft of fur that very clearly clips through its cape in its idle animation. It’s a box legendary, it’s one of the games biggest selling points and they couldn’t be bothered to actually search for/ fix such an obvious issue. I know it’s minor but on top of everything else going on in that game it’s things like that which remind me how much Pokemon is dropping the ball. The Pokemon designs are good imo but that’s about it. I feel like Pokemon just makes new Pokemon to sell merch with and then decide the game is finished enough to release. They want the game to look good at first glance and gloss over any small issues past that.
@@funnymonkey3961 i just think hop is a bit cringe, the grown ups dont take the main character seriously and the antagonists are idiots and the 1s with the more challenging pokemon arnt bad enough to make me really wanna battle them. (SPOILER ALERT!) team yell even switches over to our side near the end!

Soo for that to happen The Drednaw had to have Rain up at the time and the Swift Swim ability. Kinda one of the Reasons some Nuzlockes have the smallest issue agaisnt Nessa unless you got a great counter agaisnt her. Neat to know you faced this but came out with no problems.

i hope you do pokemon legends arceus at some point, that game is so much fun X3, plus it's interesting how there aren't really any gyms and it takes place before the events of any other pokemon games transpire

Bede would be pronounced like "bead". There was a famous English historian named The Venerable Bede and that's the only way i know of it as an actual name. Though in Japanese this brat is named Beet which is just hilarious.
There's something really cute about your color decisions. Like you'll color in most of the pokémon but humans just get hair and eyes colored in, not skin or clothes or anything. It's a neat priority that puts the spotlight on the mons.
Noodle evolving into Sylveon makes the name super appropriate given those tendrils.
Ravioli is a good name for a Sizzlipede given the segmented body.
I can see not likeing Thwacky but honestly, Rillaboom is badass.
Kabu has a hilarious event in Masters right now where he tries to get (idk if you've played SV but a very by the numbers character from there) to loosen up a bit.
I was surprised this game doesn't let you lose to Hop when SM let you lose to Hau! I lost to Hau outside Mailie and the game just continued.

It isn't just that you can't max in Spikemuth because Piers doesn't. It's that you literally *can't* there, and that's why the town is in the state it's in, since it gets ignored by the rest of the league and thus regional government.
Just think. As of gen 9, Duraladon would be able to use an eviolite.
We really should focus harder on how Bede was taken away by the queen of the fairies.
Rose announced it to both shame Leon for not aiding and to beg him to aid inmediately. He's also not thinking exteemely clearly at this time. And is it just me or was his last scene really strongly death coded? He ends his speech with "I think I can stop talking now", he refuses to leave the power plant even though everyone says it's about to crumble, and you only find out that he turned himself in in an aside line of dialogue that's easily missable. And in Crown Tundra, Oleana is waiting for him in a graveyard. So i can't help but wonder if there was an earlier draft where he was supposed to die. I'm glad he didn't though. He's really not an evil guy, and he thought he was doing what was best for Galar (and, let's face it, his own ego). And he's fantastic in Masters. The anime adds a detail to his backstory that recontexualizes his actions--his father was a miner who died in a sudden collapse when Rose was a child--and also adds to his brother Peony's actions, being so clingy with his daughters. But sadly this detail only exists in the anime!

I’ve been waiting a long time for this, and you definitely delivered! I can’t wait for if you ever decide to do any Hisui or Paldea playthroughs. Also, I’m thinking of doing a similar Pokémon journey through the regions chronologically. Like you, I reset my first game WAY too much 😅. Would you be interested in watching it? It’s too bad your Perrserker didn’t do well. My Perrserker was one my best team members when I first played Pokémon Sword. I guess it didn’t have Tough Claws for it’s ability or that it didn’t have a good nature for it physical attack stat. If not, then I have no idea.🤷
Yeah I think his defense was garbage because he kept going down too quickly. I like Perrserker in general though.

This was my first region I went through only i went through sword😅 but same thing couple different gym leaders tho. But ultimately I won the first time against leon with a max quake! From a snorlax! Best vids as always cant wait for the next❤
Hop is so annoying! He interrupts you in almost every city, is a terrible trainer, he's not funny or cute. The ONLY interresting thing about him... his brother is the champion...that's it! Oh and he is animated exactly like Hau from Sun and moon. Hop also never helped us to defeat the villain Rose. He's annoying and useless 😑
Pepper is more interresting than him. At least, he's a nice guy who cares about his dog and cook food for us; that's so kind! Hop did nothing like that.

I found a shiny squirtle in go a year before i bought sword and saved it to eventually fight leon with a gigantimax blastoise, which one shot him the first turn of dynamax

P.S. When you do go to conquer Paldea which is based on Iberia, may I suggest a naming scheme for your team? Spanish and Portuguese Kings & Queens.

Galar was my first real journey, with a full team, galar my favorite region, Inteleon is my favorite pokemon, anyone who doesn't like my opinion can Fight me!
When I picked Sobble I had someone tell me that the evolution was the most hideous mon they had ever seen. So I was expecting some sort of blobby warty frog salamander thing with slime or whatever. Imagine my surprise when I see this sleek cool spy! To this day I have no idea why my buddy tried to tell me this.

My first playthrough I went with Scorbunny cause I always try out fire type starters first in a new game. After I tried a new playthrough I went with Sobble and quickly decided I loved Inteleon way more. With Snipe Shot, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, and Ice Beam it was pretty much unbeatable, especially if I went to the Isle of Armor DLC and got Gigantimax Inteleon.
Great to see your latest conquest and eagerly await your campaign into Paldea.

The galar starters are good battle wise but their main problem is their designs. People hate how humanoid they are.

I used an intelion to beat Leon’s charizard as a ‘battle of the starters’ granted everyone hates intelon but I like it, good move pool nice animation for snipe shot and pretty fun.
Also I used a Noivern as well, mainly because it’s one of my absolute favorites and ended up becoming an ace of sorts and a hatterne mainly because it’s sort of the Gardivoir of galar
I also like Inteleon despite it being “weird looking” and humanoid.
I really wish the final evolutions for the starters looked a bit different but I have no idea how cinderace could not be humanoid when it’s supposed to be based on a football/soccer player. Maybe the legs could look more rabbit-like? Also how are people ok with lopunny but draw the line on cinderace? That’s some double standards and it’s a little unfair. The galar starters got done so dirty. At least their gigantamax forms are kinda cool.
@@THGMR-ox7sd I agree I mean I understand if they're a little under designed but people can't expect GF to be masters at designs there's always gonna be off models, but the biggest offender for me is unova, I mean we have great starters, awesome story, interesting environments, but why was it pushed over? Because of vannelux and garborder being based on trash and ice cream. I mean what the hell?!? That's like if people complained about a scream movie because the killer's design, just because you don't like a couple of designs doesn't mean you just hate the project as a whole, and not to mention I like SEVERAL unova mons haxorus, samuot, who has a regional form, emolga, chandalure, higragon, and zekrom. You think with those well known mons people would like it, but nope because those two Pokemon exist the whole game is shunned.
This is the first Pokemon game that is mainline I actually don't want to play. Even today I don't want to play Gen 8 games. I am more interested in Gen 9 which I don't want to play either. Dexit is one reason but not the only one.
From Gen 8 onwards, a few pokemon have their evolution requirement changed. If Eevee has a Fairy Type move in its moveset and likes you, it will evolve into Sylveon regardless of daytime and it will take priority over Espeon and Umbreon. Not sure about Stone Evolutions but in Gen 9 at least I know Eevee evolves into Leafeon with Leafstone and Glaceon with Icestone. And apparently Nosepass evolves with Thunderstone to Propopass despite not being an electric type (that also means Magneton turns to Magnezone with Thunderstone.)
Time to conquer another region.
Boltund is probably my favourite gen 8 pokemon. It is just so perfect.
I think boltund is underrated but I wish it had a better shiny.
I want to get one but it doesn’t change too much.
Now that I'm done, I'm looking forward to Scarlet/Violet, PLA, B/W and the post games. This has been refreshing getting some new perspective.

Wow I have seen two separate Pokémon animators sweep chairmen rose with centiscoarch
i keep my violet starter in pokemon home, but only cause i fear the dude who gave him to me might have left a tracking device on him, or something. maybe i'll put him back on the team for the dlcs, or transfer him to pokemon legends za, whichever comes first and depending on if hes compatible with the new game. anyway, i pretend a vulpix is my starter cause thats 1 of the 2 options in hypno's lullaby. i named him fabio after munchingorange's vulpix fabby. and in pokemon vortex i feel like my starter gemstone the dusk form cycanroc, guesswat the boltund and ruby the shadow luxray were the 3 amigas. im normally not comfortable with electric types, but yamper is just so cute and i felt like gemstone could use a doggy friend. and the shadow version of the shinx line, lots of pokemon in fact are so beautiful. i named my shadow sneasel beauty
Love your animation style, this was a very refreshing take on a storytime animation on a playthrough.

SwSh had the worst story of the mainline games but I love its pokémon and character designs. Another great animation!

I'd recommend getting the expansions to this game. More story, plus some conclusions the the base game plot characters. Also, a bunch more activities to do! Especially the Dynamax Adventure dungeons! Great way to hunt shiny Legendarys!

here's my take on the elite four in galar;I personally think the coolest way to set up an elite four is to have the player do the whole bracket thing FIRST, and THEN AND ONLY THEN do they get to battle the elite four and champion. The elite four and champion fights would be a sperate thing, so if you lose there, its the same as if you lose in the bracket. The player wouldn't have to redo the bracket.
"Help, these thigs are trying to steal my bike i need to get around. Hey thanks for beating those thugs, take my bike as a thank you gift"

"No one's taking me seriously about an energy crisis that will happen in like 1000 years. So i'm gonna cause it now"
At least Team Yell made sense. Support their gym leader's younger sister and be a nuisance so enough people fail gym challenge before making it to their town which was close to being demoted to minor leagues
im jeaous, my eevee and yamper didnt get along very well at first till my eevee evolved into a sylveon. might be partly cause my yamper already evolved into a boltund before i got the chance to have them meet at camp. that electric corgi grew into an idk what breed too fast and i named him after a corgi in an anime. T-T i didnt even get to see him in a battle, he evolved from exp share :(
I swear with how all the other RPG games in Nintendo's roster Game Freak/The Pokemon Company should have done save files since games were able to. Is this a hot take?

4:18 my favorite number is 222, though I also enjoy the number 22. What's funny is that my appreciation for these numbers started in a Galar playthrough when I was looking for a number that didn't have significance in a certain book.

Sword and shield was definitely the first Pokémon game to actually be like how the world would be if Pokémon were real. The original gyms were just normal buildings where no one would watch and it wasn’t an event while in Galar the gym challenge is basically the Super Bowl
That and the champions of the region actually does something
Usually there’s some crazy things that happen but the champion of the region is just nowhere while a literal child saves the day
