I was about 4 when I got into Pokemon after the anime first came to the us ('98-'99?). My parents got me Blue for Christmas that year. According to them, because i couldn't read that well, I had to ask both of them what everything said. My dad had no idea what the game was about, so, he got another copy of Blue so he could play along with me. When you mentioned the "before times" I smiled. Its funny to think that Pokemon has been there for my entire life.

New pfp looks amazing! I first got into the series because of a cousin who put the anime on when I was 2, back when it first came out. The rest was history. And while you say that your life wouldn't be drastically different without Pokemon: I really can't say the same. The first time I took a plane was directly because of Pokemon (and every time after, really).

Illegally literally when I was 16 years old I was introduced to Pokemon with a Roblox game called Pokemon brick bronze I would play that game for hours at a time recharge my phone or tablet and continue to play it. When Pokemon sued the creators and got BB Banned it was devastating then a couple days later my cousin asked if I wanted to play Pokemon again I told him I couldn't cause it got banned and he told me about the main series games and he downloaded Pokemon fire red onto my phone but I'll never forget brick bronze it was what got me into this series we all know and love and I am eternally greatfull

I first got into pokemon when the anime first came out here... theb a few months later started my pokemon journey with pokemon blue and have been playing ever since. Also just wanted to say I love your videos and your animation style. Your videos are kind of comfort viewing for me 😄

I got into Pokemon through the TCG. I remember my brother coming back from school one day with a Pikachu card a friend of ours had gifted him and proposing We’d collect them together. The anime also played a big role. We still have that very same Pikachu card and We’ll cherish it forever.

New profile picture looks amazing!^^ I got into pokemon way back when my best friend at the time borrowed me his gameboy and Pokemon Blue, and I was so hooked that I soon after went and bought Red, Yellow and Gold for myself (we had a store that sold used copies, so I could get them for way cheaper) Also, that gameboy starting sound at the end unlocked a core memory ☺

I still remember my first interaction with Pokémon to this day: I was around 6 years old and I went to watch RUclips for the first time in my life (Yes, my parents only let me watch RUclips when I was 6, those were different times). I probably already knew Pokémon by name, but I didn't know what it was about... And that's when I saw it, it was a gameplay of Pokémon Stadium with a fan translation into Portuguese to download, there was a 3X3 battle (Cleafable, Squirtle and Sandshrew X Psyduck, Oddish and Cubone) and also some minigames. I automatically fell in love with those little monsters and started searching for more and more. I even managed to find the original video about 3 years ago. The first generation of anime I saw was Unova, at that time there was the complete saga on Netflix, I always watched it when I came back from school and I even started drawing them in my school notebook. Soon my 7th birthday arrived and guess the theme? Pokémon! We rented a movie theater and my friends and I watched the movie Mewtwo. That video... It changed my life. It may be something small, but it is indirectly because of him that I have my passions today: Drawing, RUclips, Games and of course Pokémon. Not sure when I got into Pokémon, but I did watch random episodes that aired on tv and movies my friends had as a kid. When Diamond and Pearl anime was coming out I did get on that train right away from the start. For the video games I borrowed either Pokémon FireRed or LeafGreen (I can't remember now, but I'm pretty sure it was FireRed) from a family friend and got pokemon platinum as my first ever Pokémon game on a very memorable Christmas. I do have cards, but don't play the card game.

I got into pokemon when i saw pokemon Black and white on cartoon network and then begged my parents to buy me one. My starter was Emboar and i remembee naming my pokemon after me before changing them all. Then my old friend and i would play pokemon in the playground and trade some cards

Now that I'm done, I'm looking forward to Scarlet/Violet, PLA, B/W and the post games. This has been refreshing getting some new perspective. Edit: you're art's really good and the animation is pretty cool

This is the first Pokemon game that is mainline I actually don't want to play. Even today I don't want to play Gen 8 games. I am more interested in Gen 9 which I don't want to play either. Dexit is one reason but not the only one. From Gen 8 onwards, a few pokemon have their evolution requirement changed. If Eevee has a Fairy Type move in its moveset and likes you, it will evolve into Sylveon regardless of daytime and it will take priority over Espeon and Umbreon. Not sure about Stone Evolutions but in Gen 9 at least I know Eevee evolves into Leafeon with Leafstone and Glaceon with Icestone. And apparently Nosepass evolves with Thunderstone to Propopass despite not being an electric type (that also means Magneton turns to Magnezone with Thunderstone.)

I feel bad that you went through so much trouble in this game. Though you would have saved yourself a lot of that trouble if you had picked either of the other starters. I'm not saying treeco is a bad starter pokemon, it's just that the game itself favors the two much more.
