Why I Needed This Catch Can For My 350Z HR

In this video we install the z1 motorsports 350z hr catch can. I don't like how it only catches oil from one side of the car, but with the oil cooler we don't really burn oil, we are on a deadline and on a budget bottom line lol.

How do you empty it at oil chages? Remove all the braket and hoses, unbolt the whole peice and open it? Bad design

You can do that but there is a drain plug at the bottom of the can

I'm curious, is there really a difference in having 1 or 2 catch cans? I've noticed that Z1 just uses 1 and other kits uses 2.

Yes for the hr get the one that has two. I made that mistake. There’s one for each side or 3 cylinders

@@dripndrift So now my question is what's the point in Z1 selling the catch can, for the HR, if it just uses 1? Knock the price down?
There's gotta be a reason behind it.

@@bman409 They couldve messed on the site maybe idk. I am pretty sure that the Z1 370z catch cans are what would fit a 350z HR cuz those also have two intakes

What about the driver side pcv? Why only 1 catch can if this engine uses 2 intakes? Confused because Z1 also has a video showing this kit on the vq35hr but that seems wrong to me.

Yeah it’s bs, I got it just to meet requirements for an event but I think the 370z has two catch cans that would would for the hr.
