For those of you who are questioning these methods, this technique for when your players are served a faster serve than they are able to get their feet around "passing left to right." He says pretty clearly at the beginning of the video that there are invariably times when we aren't able to play the ball at our midline. He could've done a better job reminding the audience that this is reserved for when you aren't able to play the ball at your midline.
Telling them not to move their feet? When my girls try to take the ball on the midline it’s easy to get jammed up if the ball floats a little high. Thanks for posting. ✌🏻
Okay question because I'm a libero and I have been passing millions of balls. Is this for when a ball is to fast? Like for men it's a little bit faster. Because your hitting down balls and really if you tried to move your feet you can easily get behind it! But I get what your saying your close to the end like you want to tough and create that angle. But if the ball is coming it it's probably best for middle back to take it only bc the OH is hitting front row or running that bic attack! Just FYI
From what I can tell without seeing the target is these girls are spraying the ball all over the front row. To me nothing beats moving your feet in serve receive and taking the ball midline or to the passers left.
I really struggle with this.. why not teach them to move their feet? Swiveling is for digging, not serve receive and passing free balls, etc... :| The amount of balls passed from the right should be minimum. Just my 2 cents.

Good tips. I'll try and apply.

Really informative thank you
They are passing to the setter on the last drill. But is it supposed to be passed that low?

Julio Cruz I agree
Julio Cruz 因为很多时候来球速度很快无法移动到位,侧身垫球是必要动作
i agree
