Nice trap in the Dutch. Haven't seen that one before. (The audio cuts off at 20 mins in that very entertaining last game) Thanks for another top notch video Simon.
Im so exited about the second part of your Jobava London, I have to say, your GingerGM course with Blair it's the best course I've ever purchased, and trust me, I have a loooot of opening courses.
Great content as usual, shame about the losing the sound at about 21 mins - could kind of follow the arrows for the game but not the analysis afterwards.
Looks like last game was cut due to audio problems based on comments. Always great to see these and it’s really helping my game and tactics to thanks Simon
Great two games. But it looks like the video was longer, then the audio cut out, so maybe Simon edited it to only the two games with audio. Anyway, thanks for another great speed run. These have helped my game.
Simon I'm a really big fan of yours and enjoy your content. I was hoping if you could possibly play a stream playing primarily the classical french defense? Maybe like a rating climb stream of blacks French defense? I imagine other people would equally enjoy a Dutch defense rating climb stream. Again I thank you for your teachings and lessons. You're amazing and criminally underrated.
I have really enjoyed this whole speed run series. It is very instructional in understanding my own games and mistakes. I was already contemplating buying your Jobava course - Do you get the upgraded course for free, if you purchase the existing course now?
In the second game, when he captured the N on e5, you captured the B on f5. If you instead recapture the Ne5 with the d pawn, the Bf5 is still under attack, and so is the Nf6. Am I missing something, or does this win a piece?
because white's bishop could capture black's queen. Simon saved his own queen first by capturing the bishop on f6 knowing that his opponent's queen was going to be lost anyway since it's trapped.
No it isn't. The phrase 'en pris' is derived from French and roughly translates as 'for the taking' in English. 'Pris' is a conjugation of the French verb 'prendre' which means to take. For any word in French that ends with the letter 's', the s is silent and never pronounced. Hence, the correct pronunciation is "en pree".
@@mysteriousmeteor6783 Yes, it is. You are right in all you say except for the circumstance that it's spelt "en prise", not "en pris". If I could give a reference here without this comment being deleted, I would. Edit: I think I found a reference which won't be deleted... ruclips.net/video/RbKJ34v57MY/видео.html
@@yiguanas812 Yeah you're right actually. I checked the reference. I never knew it was spelt 'en prise' with the 'e'. Everyone at my chess club, my coach and basically everyone I know pronounces it as "en pree". I guess we were all mispronouncing it the whole time.
@@mysteriousmeteor6783 Now I feel bad for pointing it out. And I'm not even a proper chess player. Should I delete my comment, do you think? We can keep this our little secret.
@@yiguanas812 No, it's alright. Don't delete it. People should learn the proper way of pronouncing words. You seem like a nice person to talk to. Perhaps you could tell me a little bit about yourself?
Unfortunate ruining of high quality chess teaching, but opportunity to do something funny like over dub the silence in Irish maybe. Thanks for trying Simon. Looking forward to the next episode
at 20:39 the audio cuts out
Is this some kind of troll? The video is only 18 minutes long.
@@depan55 He probably edited it out after people noticed problems with sound

another great video, and thankfully I realised the sound problems were at your end before I threw my laptop out of the window!
Audio cuts out at 20:39
no sound after 20:39 :(
Has anyone mentioned the audio cutting out at 20:39
Your greatest video 👌🏼 class
Always fun. Thank you GingerGM.

I love your intro and these speedruns!
Simon … you’re an absolute Geeza … thanks for the great content!
seems like the sound dropped out in the later part of the video
Prefer these educational speed runs Simon, thanks for another great video!

thought I went deaf 😂 Excellent games, very tough opponents. very informative. Thanks Simon
oooh can't wait for Jobava very 2. It will be on Chessable?
Title says 15-00-1700 instead of 1500-1700, great video :)
Cheers Simon!
2:16 why wouldn’t he take the queen with his knight on C6 thoughts?

You are my favorite GM. My openings are all from you lol
I literally learnt Dutch Opening from and I also play Bird’s with white💯👌
Ahh the good old fever dream intro, it's been a while
I wonder if Baadur buys your courses to find out how best to play his system. It wouldn't surprise me!
Love you....the way you teaching me ❤️
How do you get +14? I get +10 at most playing somebody like 100points better
You make this look so easy.
at 20 minutes in the sound is gone...
Perfect
You ever think about tryin a "guess the ELO"? Would bring a lot of views and subscribers, I believe. Not sure if those matter to you, though
Last game was without sound.
The correct pronunciation is "en preeze" like cheese, not "en pree". Yes, I'm a pedant.

Nice video again. Aside from hearing what your opponent did wrong, I also like to hear if the opponent did some things right :)
Chess tiger!
I thought that I was subscribed ? Good Dutch kill my friend. Tell me more about this Dutch I am Stafforded out.
Title's a bit wonky. I thought this was a game played on 15th noughtuary 1700.
Start a new series where you drink beer/whisky
and play chess ofc:P
