Glad you're back, I've been missing these videos :)
I think he's been busy making a DVD, which he MAY, if we are very lucky, slyly promote at rare moments. I'm guessing it'll be around twenty quid and is probably about 8 hours of content.
🙄😝😁
Just kidding Simon! Massive props to what you teach us all on the tube! Awesome upload, as per!
Love to see you commentating the chess tournaments , your analysis brings a lot of life to every broadcast. You are a legend GM Simon Williams
Welcome back Simon. Missing your commentary at the Aimchess Rapid. 'Rocky' Trent is all well and good, but you can't beat the GingerGM alongside David and Jovanka.
Yay, a new video! You wouldn't believe how fast I went through all the speed run videos lol
For what it's worth, thumbs up on the new intro. The old one was a masterpiece but it was only fun to watch the first few times. The curse of good animation.
For your next speed run, you definitely should increase it to 15 minutes per side. Also, I would like to request some kings gambit or Vienna gambit games in the future (maybe for the next speed run). Cheers mate.
You being back uploading made my day!
Pawn D5 check ,, leads to some nice lines @18:56
Very instructional games for someone who plays both openings. Great stuff. Thanks and be well.
Very neat couple of games. Enjoyed those. Thanks.
I'm happy that I spotted that tactic winning the rook in the first game - I was confused why Simon didn't mention it at first.
And in the second game, I analysed and the computer is fine with Bf7+, although g7+ is better. But the key move was Kb5+ to get them to move their pawn, then go back with Kf5+ and the dark-squared bishop can come out with check (Bf4+) once the king is on c7. It was fairly even until they hung their queen for no reason.
glad you're feeling better, geezer. great to see you back
New Simon video brightens up my day. 😊
Love the speedrun videos from you, want to see them more!
I watch your videos because you are always honnest about your losses and wins and you can make fun of yourself.
unlike other GM's
Happy you are back and welll!
Hope you feel well soon. Thnx for this content again!!!
Hello Simon! Thanks for uploading and sharing!
Enjoyed the show! Both games were really helpful to watch 👍
Great you're back!! Love the vids.
Love it! Glad to see you back!
Well hello, GingerGm, sir. I hope you will recover in no time.
Thank you for the lovely games and insights. They help me having even more fun while playing chess.
i hope people beyond 1900elo stop playing the french exchange so we get simons killer french defence back. i like the black lion but playing the jobava london is enough for my repertoire.
Your Awesome Simon!!
The calculation at 13:20 cracked me up, as if I was looking at myself calculating.
He is back!!!!
i put the first moves on the engine to study this opening and it called as the pirc defense instead of the black lion and it got me a bit confuse i must say haha
Never in doubt!
Get well soon fella!
Qb5 then back to f5 after blocking with pawn or Knight
1st game logic, second game: xD
Hope you recover soon, and btw the 2nd guy just literally try to flag I guess.
missing you on the commentary team
Simon, do you take any student's?🙏
12:21 g6-g7 instead of Qd1-h5, n'est-ce pas?
In the second game Qc4 instead of d5 looks like an EZ win for White. How does Black deal adequately with the threat of Qe6 mate?
Black can push c6 for an escape route for the king. White is still completely winning but after Qe6+, Kc7, Bf4+ - the king still gets away and avoids all mate threats.
Please rest and do bugger all. I tried to carry on as normal when I got it in 2020 before the vaccines and ended being way worse than I should have been. I'm still not 100% 2 years later.
Hey simon, where can i buy a recent up to date lesson pack on the jobava system?
Here's my most recent course: www.chessable.com/the-jobava-london-system/course/28333/
Tilted Tuesday. Lol. No Guiness?
After checking the king with Qc5 and then the king moves to d7 then Qc4 threatens mate on e6. Not sure if black can survive. Probably wrong 😭
7:20 your rook is hanging 😅😅
Not immediately because the rook is pinned but if white had played Ne2 then black is forced to play …Qh4 after which the rook is, as you point out, hanging 😅
@@handsomegames1433 That tactic worked only after Nf6 took away the retreat square for the queen where it can still guard the rook at 7:26 , making that knight move a huge blunder (-3.0 to +4.7)
Sorry I didn't notice
Not complaining but it says titled Tuesday in the thumbnail or am I mad
“As white I try and get advantage, as black I try and get equality”
Same the world over 😂
corn-pop was a bad dude
Come on, I need to improve my 1600 not my 1100…
At 6:50 , doesn't Rxg3 - fxg3 - Qd2+ win the knight ?
nvm. he realised that after 10 secs :D
what. a. thumbnail.

Game number 2 is the reason why I skip a match when see that my opponent is indian. They always play trash chess and never resign and often stall. I really don't know what their problem is.
