    Smoothies with a purpose can help: i have a 120 calorie beet smoothie that rocks pretty hard. It’s a half a beet, half a banana, a fist of kale, a fist of collards, 4oz V8 and a splash of Bai Water (almost no calories : it’s drugs but a little splash of the coconut flavor keeps me from having the fatty coconut chunks in the coconut water), a few grams of ginger and a little piece of a walnut
    Putting a beet in you is a pretty powerful feeling 🤗

      Lol Bai water. Hilarious. Almost as hilarious as the concept of a smoothie now. A lot has changed in six months. For the better, do doubt.

    I was stuck in Salome, AZ for a week a couple years ago. I went to the bar to play pool and talked with some of the locals. It was wild, everyone I saw looked like they had been sandblasted while picknicking on the surface of the sun.

    Chopping greens is great advice! It is something many people may not think about but is a simple way to be able to get more greens in a smaller volume! I also use my kitchen scissors, as someone else mentioned, to chop my greens!

    I have been listening to the Summit and I wanted to say that I have listened to many of these speakers before and often interviewers interrupt them or cause them to lose the flow of their communication and you have nailed it! Excellent questions and you just let them talk. I think the one yesterday with Dr. Fuhrman was one of the best interviews I have seen with him and watching the video version in the replay was so much fun. Excellent job. I am not on Facebook, so I can't comment there, but I felt like I wanted you to know. Good job.

      @@CHEFAJ I have continued listening and it is one of the best conferences I have heard. Packed full of information. I LOVED today's psychology of things sessions. I have never heard any of that before. Excellent.

    I just eat any veggies on the plate and then say I didn't like anything else not on plan. I found most people just dont pay that much attention.

    When I think about what the body considers an A+ diet, I have to assume that processing beyond chopping and adding heat, and maybe beyond adding things to food that would be hard to obtain in the stone-age village (nuts and seeds) takes the diet from A+ to A-, maybe even further.
    Something tells me that it’s a mistake to add too many things together, even if they all come from whole foods.
    I can’t say I’ll never again use a low-sodium non-fat calorie-free sauce but I do notice a difference when I go weeks without adding anything to potatoes. I haven’t felt this same difference when omitting no-salt chili powder and garlic granules from steamed purple cabbage.
    A dab of sauce really never stays a dab. I looked at my Tingly Ted’s sauce after a few days of opening the bottle and was pretty surprised with how much of it was missing.
    I tossed it and have been sticking to plain white potatoes since. If I dip my potato in anything, it’s the leftover rice vinegar, chile powder and garlic from the purple cabbage.
    The whole game seems to be “less is more.”
    The more simple and plain I make my diet, the more enjoyable it is. That’s where the long-lasting pleasure lives.

    You look fabulous, AJ! I’m eating WFPB, no junk food or sweets, but still have 15 lbs to lose. The only nuts I eat are cashews in a pasta a few times a month. SOS FREE but use minimal salt to cook... I exercise 4 days a week and eat fresh greens daily. I guess I just need to exercise more?
