But then since we're talking about high notes, I think Jessica does reach higher notes than Taeyeon because she has a natural high pitched voice. On the other ahd, Taeyeon's high notes are more powerful than Jessica's. Both are amazing singers. Taeyeon 's high notes are more powerful and more versatile, Jessica's high notes are higher and she seems to be hitting her high notes easily than Taeyeon does. So, I'd go for both.

funnily enough, Jessica is far more likely to crack doing a high note than Taeyeon, since Jessica strains on the upper notes more. It's just not as easy to tell because she has a naturally high voice. I love them both though

Why would you get hate ? There's nothing wrong with prefering one's high notes. It's subjective. I don't think Jessica's anemia has something to do with her voice. Taeyeon can sing higher and with more "power" because she has a better technique. It's not actual power, it's about how you make it sound powerful by projecting it properly.

The feels hit so hard Jessica and Taeyeon are straight vocal queens. Literally I don't care what anyone says but they deserve to have a duet together because seriously it's been long over due and it would sell really well. Everyone knows how great they are and how talented they are. They're both really popular and have been from the gate. It's disappointing that SM never took advantage of that opportunity to put them together for a duet because it would have gotten them so much money and it was always highly requested and it would have been requested again and again.

Taeyeon has lower range than Jessica. But a vocalists ability isn't based on the range. As a music student myself that is concentrating in voice, there's a reason why Taeyeon is more recognized as a vocalist than Jess. It's about technique. Taeyeon is a technical singer who is able to deliver a full and stable notes with resonance from her lower register to her belting range. Jessica has great range, if I'm not mistaken 3 octaves and a couple of notes while Tae has 2 octaves and some notes. But you have to consider tonal quality, technique and resonance. For example taeyeon and jessica's runs and vibrato and you'll notice taeyeon gives it best. Jessica's voice is beautiful of course, but if we're to compare Taeyeon is a better vocalist. I'm not an snsd stan lol so this is not a biased review
Taeyeon has a better technique because of her supported range and her resonance. But Jessica's run and vibrato is much better than Taeyeon. Taeyeon has a better placement, but both is very stable. Jessica has a higher Vocal Range but not just that, she's more consistent, relaxed and clear in belted register, falsetto register and low register. Jessica's voice is more clear and high than Taeyeon, but Taeyeon has a much more powerful voice. Jessica has a better vocal control/control of her voice because she is able to move from belted register to falsetto register with ease, she is able to change the volume of her voice quite quickly, she is able to switch from the falsetto register to the belted register very quickly and it is nice to listen, while Taeyeon isn't able to do that. As a vocalist, Taeyeon is better, because vocalist = only technique, Taeyeon clearly has a better technique than Jessica, her supported range extends up to D5, which is well, and she can open resonance at C#5, which is very good, while Jessica has an inconsistent resonance, and her supported range is lower. But as a singer ; Jessica is much better because she has much more vocal capabilities and abilities, she has an unique timbre/voice color, she's more emotional, and she has a better musicality. Jessica is better in low register, falsetto register, belted register, better run, better vibrato, higher vocal range, better Pitch,.. Taeyeon's voice is an typical korean voice, her voice is simple and commonplace, and she has no particular musicality. She focuses too much on technique, which stifles her emotion and her musicality. So actually, Jessica is better than Taeyeon.

People who study music and vocal chord would totally know and understand how hard to hit like how Taeyeon and Jessica deliver their voice through singing. Taeyeon voice is powerful and strong while Jessica voice is high and soft. both of them could sing harmony and both of them support each other in their singing so that why both of them are my favorite singer. Taeyeon could really reach high notes and she know how to control her voice without cracking it when she reach high notes. and Jessica is effortlessly can reach the high notes very well. i think most of us know this fact. there are scale for their high notes reach and Jessica could reach even higher than usual scale and yes both of them have their own technique when they're singing and there is more to say about their vocal and all but seriously who doesn't love these two anyway? i love them and still and willing to wait for their duet together even that might be just a dream ^^

Going through all these old soshi videos makes me miss the girls so much. They are more active individually than a group now but I’m still supporting them. I just miss them as one. These videos bring back so much memories. I used to surf RUclips and watch any SNSD video, especially Taengsic compilations even if some of the content was the same, I still watched and rewatched because Taengsic is golden. Queens in my heart.

My opinion, don't go hate me or something Lmfao. For me, Jessica does high notes better. And yes, I know that Taeyeon has that powerful and angelic voice you say. But Jessica can achieve it IF she hasn't recently suffered from 'Anemic' I think she can shout like Taeyeon and reach high notes perfectly. :) Still my opinion, I hope there's no rude comments tho.
Why would you get hate ? There's nothing wrong with prefering one's high notes. It's subjective.
I don't think Jessica's anemia has something to do with her voice. Taeyeon can sing higher and with more "power" because she has a better technique. It's not actual power, it's about how you make it sound powerful by projecting it properly.

The feels hit so hard Jessica and Taeyeon are straight vocal queens. Literally I don't care what anyone says but they deserve to have a duet together because seriously it's been long over due and it would sell really well. Everyone knows how great they are and how talented they are. They're both really popular and have been from the gate. It's disappointing that SM never took advantage of that opportunity to put them together for a duet because it would have gotten them so much money and it was always highly requested and it would have been requested again and again.

Taeyeon has lower range than Jessica. But a vocalists ability isn't based on the range. As a music student myself that is concentrating in voice, there's a reason why Taeyeon is more recognized as a vocalist than Jess. It's about technique. Taeyeon is a technical singer who is able to deliver a full and stable notes with resonance from her lower register to her belting range. Jessica has great range, if I'm not mistaken 3 octaves and a couple of notes while Tae has 2 octaves and some notes. But you have to consider tonal quality, technique and resonance. For example taeyeon and jessica's runs and vibrato and you'll notice taeyeon gives it best. Jessica's voice is beautiful of course, but if we're to compare Taeyeon is a better vocalist. I'm not an snsd stan lol so this is not a biased review

Taeyeon has a better technique because of her supported range and her resonance. But Jessica's run and vibrato is much better than Taeyeon. Taeyeon has a better placement, but both is very stable. Jessica has a higher Vocal Range but not just that, she's more consistent, relaxed and clear in belted register, falsetto register and low register. Jessica's voice is more clear and high than Taeyeon, but Taeyeon has a much more powerful voice. Jessica has a better vocal control/control of her voice because she is able to move from belted register to falsetto register with ease, she is able to change the volume of her voice quite quickly, she is able to switch from the falsetto register to the belted register very quickly and it is nice to listen, while Taeyeon isn't able to do that. As a vocalist, Taeyeon is better, because vocalist = only technique, Taeyeon clearly has a better technique than Jessica, her supported range extends up to D5, which is well, and she can open resonance at C#5, which is very good, while Jessica has an inconsistent resonance, and her supported range is lower. But as a singer ; Jessica is much better because she has much more vocal capabilities and abilities, she has an unique timbre/voice color, she's more emotional, and she has a better musicality. Jessica is better in low register, falsetto register, belted register, better run, better vibrato, higher vocal range, better Pitch,.. Taeyeon's voice is an typical korean voice, her voice is simple and commonplace, and she has no particular musicality. She focuses too much on technique, which stifles her emotion and her musicality. So actually, Jessica is better than Taeyeon.

People who study music and vocal chord would totally know and understand how hard to hit like how Taeyeon and Jessica deliver their voice through singing. Taeyeon voice is powerful and strong while Jessica voice is high and soft. both of them could sing harmony and both of them support each other in their singing so that why both of them are my favorite singer. Taeyeon could really reach high notes and she know how to control her voice without cracking it when she reach high notes. and Jessica is effortlessly can reach the high notes very well. i think most of us know this fact. there are scale for their high notes reach and Jessica could reach even higher than usual scale and yes both of them have their own technique when they're singing and there is more to say about their vocal and all but seriously who doesn't love these two anyway? i love them and still and willing to wait for their duet together even that might be just a dream ^^

Going through all these old soshi videos makes me miss the girls so much. They are more active individually than a group now but I’m still supporting them. I just miss them as one. These videos bring back so much memories. I used to surf RUclips and watch any SNSD video, especially Taengsic compilations even if some of the content was the same, I still watched and rewatched because Taengsic is golden. i think both of them have this distinctive voice--jessica's sweet high note and taeyeon's strong high note. they can both literally pull out something unique when hitting high notes. but sadly, jessica (my ult bias) was a major loss for soshi. hoping that sumn miraculous will happen this year.
