I listen to this mix since... dunno... 1996 or so (predates RUclips of course) and it´s one of those songs I sing along with some slight acting every time, no cares about who´s around. Makes me feel good...
It was released in 1993 and it was released in Europe only. They did it to promote the home video release and if I remember correctly it also came back to theatres that same year.
Yes. The name "Disney Cast" was used on German compilation albums, like "Bravo Hits 5" or "Best Of 93" (which I have). In other countries it was just "The Jungle Book Groove" used on both artist and title.
@@FraTac Hi, I just saw your comment and did a little research afterwards. I found out that this specific remix from the ost of Jungle book in the 60s was made by Phil Harding and Ian Curnow for the Disney. Those two producers did a lot of remixes in the early 90s. For reasons i'm not aware of they didn't show up in the credits.
Thanks for uploading this! I had a Disney tape when i was like 8 yrs old (mid 90's) and this was the first track.. ahhh the memories eh.. : ) Love the music!
It's real. It came out as a single in Europe in 1993, both on vinyl and CD. It was quite popular around here, it charted on several countries and is featured on many compilation albums from '93 (often credited as "Disney Cast").
I bought my version back in 1993 in germany (yeah, I am THAt old). It was a "Maxi.CD" with three variations of this song (track 2 is "Jungle Club Mix", and track 3 is "Jazz Jungle Mix". As a matter of fact: I have the CD in my hands right now. ^^
GUYS I JUST RECENTLY FOUND OUT WHAT SONG THIS IS. It's called The Jungle Book by Phil Harris (Baloo) and Louis Prima (King Louie). The album is Phil Harris and Friends. You're welcome ;)
The correct name is "The Jungle Book Groove", the original release of 1993 didn't have any performer name, and was often credited on compilation albums as "Disney Cast".
you know how they brought out a tupac hologram at coachella? they should bring out baloo and mowgli holograms and sing the bear necessities. that would be sick
A family friend who passed away many years ago used this in his show to entertain the kids, can't believe I have just found it again! RIP Tony Maiden
