    The moderator did a great job! This is how you do a ROUNDTABLE. Everybody gets to answer one question. They milk it and they don’t jump from one question to another, interrupting the actor!

    • @joewillsart
      @joewillsart 2 года назад +105

      Agreed, I watched a few of the others, and the moderator seemed RUDE and was constantly over talking the answer and switching focus and moving to other people before the answer was done. SUPER annoying. I loved this. Also, though the video and audio quality was no where near the previous interviews, which was disappointing, it was still really informative and entertaining.

    • @jaihohoho
      @jaihohoho 2 года назад +83

      Yes! And you can see how the actors are so into the discussion and frequently say something like “going back to the previous question/topic” because the questions are thoughtful and coherent! Instead of rapid fire type of questions like some cheap tabloid lol
      I’m tired of questions like:
      1. How does it feel like playing this role
      2. How does if feel like working with ____
      3. How does it feel like being away from your kids
      Leave that to E! News lol

      Couldn’t agree more, he brings such a unique and brill energy to all the characters he plays. His wisdom (especially now) in this industry is really inspiring to see and I think it definitely shows now in his more recent movies.
      For me watching Nicholas is like watching someone paint a beautiful picture. And not only that, someone who knows what they are doing, you could even say they have “mastered it.” And this instance I will go ahead and say Nicholas Cage has mastered it.
      All the way from national treasure to a film like Con Air, he really can do it all. You cant put this man in a box, and if you could he would find a way to make it his own. He’d probably paint it like each colour of a rubik’s cube or something totally awesome like that.
      I’m really glad he has won his oscar for Leaving Las Vegas in 96. To be honest i think he should have an oscar for every movie he’s done but we wouldn’t want the under dogs like leonardo dicaprio and matt damon to feel left out.
      I’ll say finally, if I was to ever meet nicholas cage I would bow down to him, and then he’d probably say something totally crazy cool like “stand to your feet, you are no lower than me.” Then I would give him a hug and tell him how much he means to me. Thanks Nick, we love you

    Thank goodness for Nicolas Cage being exactly who you want him to be & more. Love that Andrew Garfield loves Jonathan Majors as much as we all do. And that they are each so thoughtfully & emotionally driven. Peter Dinklage often comes across as quietly insightful, but I wish he got to sit at a comedy table bc he was always so dryly hilarious around his GOT fam. Like that Simon Rex brings a different perspective than these lifelong actors & as a former interviewer that he gave a mini focus assist on that masculinity question. Though lbh Rebecca Keegan is one of the best interviewers in THR History. Her thoughtful questions bring out great answers as they should, and she understands that the best content comes from just letting them converse.

    Glad people are finally starting to wake up to how deeply intelligent and knowledgeable Cage is, he’s been reduced to a walking meme for so long and here you can really tell how much he knows about not just his craft but cinema in general

      He’s a national treasure. One of a kind. People always mock and ridicule anyone who stands out, because it makes them uncomfortably question their conformity.

    Cage gets a bad wrap but hearing him embrace the "f*** it let's see how this turns out!" style of enjoying what he does is awesome. Great round table episode.

    “Your imagination is your most important tool…” Absolutely Mr. Cage. JKD is the perfect reference for the arts, never get trapped in one style; do it for the love and never lose hope/faith that it’ll work out. Whatever you do, just keep, KEEP going.

    Never in a million years would I have ever imagined Simon Rex in a roundtable like this, let alone a possible awards contender.
    So happy to see his progression from Scary Movie 3 (where I adored him as a comedy actor when I was a teenager) to something like Red Rocket.

      I gotta go see this movie bc - yes, I wouldn’t expect him at this table. Hopefully he gets more roles bc comedians thrive in more realistic roles.
