New LAMBORGHINI LANZADOR! First Look at the 1,360hp ELECTRIC Lambo

- This is the new Lamborghini Lanzador, let's check it out! The latest Lambo is a concept 4th model to the line-up, a fully electric sports GT 2+2; offering over 1MW of power (1,360hp). Launched to the world at The Quail, I'm on site to take a full first look around it in detail.
After the growth of the Lamborghini line-up that currently offers the V12 flagship hybrid with Revuelto, various V10 derivatives of the Huracan and of course the Urus Super-SUV, the question is what comes next. Lanzador is that vision; the first fully electric model in the family, but crucially an additional model rather than replacing any existing car.
Targeting an introduction in 2028, Lanzador brings the idea of a sports 2+2 with increased ground clearance and all wheel drive. With a significant bias towards sporty driving, a sustainable interior and distinct Lamborghini DNA in the design. After seeing the covers removed, we are joined by Mitja Borkert, Head of Lamborghini's Centro Stile design department, for a further walkaround and additional details of the car.

A concept that at first glance feels quiet close to a production vehicle but given how far away it is there are no doubt things will change.
Looks like the body is "done". Probably for them they want to get at least 600km range and under 1800kg for performance. Battery tech is improving "daily" so should be easy to accomplish by 2026. Probably lots of work to do on the software side. VW group way behind MB/Tesla.
the Urus concept, Asterion, Estoque... Lamborghini's concepts are generally "close to production"

Some people compliment it and in the old days of youtube it worked but now a days RUclips is like the old cable TV and people expect well edited videos with B roll and good transitions. I hope Lamborghini will still produce v12 engines with no electric at all, just in case people want to buy that instead of forcing the consumer to electric ⚡️
Unfortunately thats not gonna happen, new pure petrol cars are going to be made illegal to sell in Europe and large parts of Asia between 2040-2050 (the legislation is already been passed into law) so they’d be making cars that they can’t legally sell in 2 of their biggest markets.

It grows on ne the more I look at it . The best way to describe it is as a sleeker electric urus the design seems ore cohesive than the prorsche cayenne gts. No doubt if made it will sell well. While we'd all like to see more super cars from lamborghini models like this will no doubt broaden the brand's appeal and hopefully keep it in buainess going forward. Great work as usual Tim
It is a special cohesive design. I really enjoyed hearing the designer discuss. The interior is fantastic! As is the exterior. I want to sit in and drive!

This is such a nice concept! Basically a 2 door EV Urus, which isn't that great but since they sold it as "A futuristic lunar shuttle to move arround :o" it becomes cool 😂 Buying cars is all about the expectations you have of them and that's why Lamborghini nailed this car 😂

All that matters is how it translates to performance and the numbers it produces.

@Kronos0999 Power to get up to the legal speed is always relevant. If you take twice as long as traffic to get up to speed, then you will have trouble coping with day to day driving.

Since there's already the etron and taycan maybr lambo felt they needed to be more unique as they are known for extreme designs
@@catinthehat5140 Perhaps, instead of the Taycan and e-tron, they could have looked at the Bentley Continental GT and could have taken that car for inspiration and shown a grand tourer concept.

I like it a lot. More than the Urus. Range is the only thing. And battery cooling. Will it throttle power after some usage. Will it be able to perform at high speeds on the Autobahn ?
Skinnier, low roll resistance tires will do way more for drag than that aero. Those fences around the rear window are to channel air to the cooling scoops on the bottom. I imagine cooling will be the "Achilles Heel" of performance EVs.

@@jaymaestro2008the hurricane is the last V10 Lamborghini, and I'm not going to let it pass that the successor is likely another hybrid V8. The V10 was the GOAT Lamborghini engine and I won't endorse a crappy hybrid V8.

A 2 + 2 seater needs a set of doors for the rear, either a traditional door or a suicide style doors like on the Ferrari Purosangue 👍
