OH, how I love Dr.Mattie Moss Clark, at one point she look at her babygirl like .....yes First Lady Karen Clark Sheard sings in the anointing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , Thankful for their Mother💖
B Gray I'd say so. Karen always names Twinkie as one of her influences. You can hear Twinkie do that in the song "I Found What I've Been Looking For" they recorded in 1978
Is Karen HUMAN???? GOOD LORD.. But a serious question.. Why wasn't Dr. Mattie Moss Clark given a funeral of this magnitude?? I ask because to a fair thinker, Dr. Clark stands as the female equivalent of, and is as influential as CH Mason's role was (and is) to the COGIC church.. Dr. Clark basically developed and mastered the unique COGIC (choir) "sound".. And gave us the world's greatest gifts to gospel music, The Clark sisters.. With Twinkie beasting on the organ.. And Karen simply alienating other singers.. However.. Can someone WITH COGIC KNOWLEDGE answer that question for me? Thanks
Cogic was always know as a cult to the world. It only became an acceptable church to society because the music enticed outsiders. Dr. Clark is solely responsible for cogic being attractive to outsiders due to her and Twinkie creating the Cogic sound
This was our International Mass Choir at the National Homegoing Celebration of our 3rd Chief Apostle and Presiding, the late Bishop J. O. Patterson. It was held at our World Headquarters, Mason Temple in 1990. I was there.
That's one of the reasons she's so loved. Because she doesn't pretend to be perfect 💗 God never said our singing had to be perfect. But it must be from the ❤️.
Great!!! Someone who sound like they know what they are talking about-Don't mean to bother but what in the world are the seventh day adventist then i've always wondered
...Because they couldn't possibly be sitting because this is a funeral, and perhaps they're emotionally drained and been in around the clock meetings... nah? Ok :-)
There ain't nothing like the old time gospel music. Praise God

The Solid Rockvis Able
AWESOME!
This choir is huge. Do choirs this large exist anymore? They are excellent And they better be with Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark directing it.

I can't beleieve how the congregation is just sitting there. My Baptist Church has a livelier homegoing than this...
I noticed that in a couple of songs, I thought it was me
e
the sanctimonious men sitting annoy me....
...Because they couldn't possibly be sitting because this is a funeral, and perhaps they're emotionally drained and been in around the clock meetings... nah? Ok :-)
