....unknowingly funny like flicking the airplane to see what it was made of!
Andrew buys an airplane....
“The wing is bent. I’ll just bend it back with my excavator”
You are too Andrew, Lol
😂
Good one
lmfao
“I saw this somewhere in the manual”
Andrew: They didn’t make these old planes strong enough. So today’s project we’re going to rip out these wire wing braces and weld in some I-beams.
*welds in new I-beams*
That’s a lot stronger. Should last 100 years now!
Don't forget the diamond plate!
Haha
@@Silent002 And some eBay parts. ''Yeah i got this new wing on eBay It was only like 40 bucks"
It just won't take off with all that extra weight, but sure is safer and will last a life time KEKW

What a great experience! Thanks for taking us along Andrew.

It stopped flying for absolutely no reason
Who else would rather watch Andrew Camarata then watching a brand new movie.
Movies from the past two decades, at least, are pretty bad.
I would, I haven't watched a full movie in at least 10 years. RUclips is the best!
Hand raised here. No @$&℅¥ commercials!!
Well I would, definitely.
Yeah, Hollywood is pretty subversive and trashy.
BTW There is a good channel which analyzes (mostly older) movies BlackPilled: ruclips.net/video/1-kdygA5U_k/видео.html
They convinced us that our natural in-group preference, unity and social cohesion were xenophobia and racism.
For those that may be unaware, that little metal rod outside the windscreen is the fuel gauge, lol. Not cutting edge technology but super reliable! Love old Pipers.
White knuckle flight!!?
Fuel gauge, or pitot air supply to 'pressurise' the tank?
Could be the wind speed gauge...
@@ryanchencinski9311 it’s fuel gauge for sure.
2:55 Andrew's Castle!
I see someone else was paying attention too, Good eye.🙂
@@morganrussman thanks i didn't recognise it from the air
I was literally thinking if the instructor would agree to fly over his home like 10 seconds before the clip showed Andrew's castle, lol. I was thinking this museum place must be at least 40 miles away, just guessing but I think I was wrong, either that or I severely underestimate old planes and their range xD.
And so Andrew became his own drone! Awesome.
2:54 Castle Camarata looks so small from up there!
You have some sharp eagle eyes
Wow 😳, I agree with shiyi, you were paying some good attention to see that.🙂
I saw that, too. Unmistakable, even from so far up. The apron around the castle is so familiar from the videos I could probably navigate it blindfolded. (Assuming there wasn't some new piece of equipment sitting out in the middle.)
@@PeterWMeek It's pretty easy to find on google maps too - and I'm on the opposite side of the planet!
Great video and content. These guys are just a wealth of knowledge and obviously passionate about airplane history.....nice to see 👍
Yeah, that museum tour could’ve been hours long
"So I got this plane for free"
i found it on the side of the runway
It was on the curb for free, and it's a 9-cylinder, so I'm going to take nine carburetors off of these chainsaws...
@@mortglickman3217 Omg xD Got me flashbacks of the lawnmower that was sitting next to the road, the one that had mouse in it :D
Hi Andrew. Our family's 1927 red model t is in background as you entered building. I drove it in the New Berlin Youth Days parade back in the 1980s.
Very cool.
11:34 It doesn’t matter what he’s doing, a concrete job, dirt work, or flying a freakin bi-plane, AC is gonna find a dog to pet! 😂
Leaving all humor aside, (Yeah that's hard to do with this bunch of fans I know as shown below) I get damn near teary eyed that he is such a hard working young man and all that he has done. This? This is just a reward for all that work. What makes it special? He included his wife on it and in the planes. Family first! Great job Andrew. I love your work here.
Well thanks for the ride and fly along Andrew. That was great 👍 😀🇺🇸

Did you see the show with The Black Baron & Trudy Truelove?
Hay thanks buddy thanks was great. Nice to see you enjoying yourself. Lots of really cool old planes and vehicles loved it
Love this video. Great seeing old planes and trucks. My favorite was the old fire truck. I've been in fire service for 43 years that's what I started on. Ha ha.
next video: "A friend of mine called and asked if I wanted his 747 for free"
There's no reason this airplane should have fallen out of the sky. I think I can fix this.
Lol funny
It stopped flying at 500 feet for no reason!
@@zxggwrt lmao
The parts they used to build this plane are junk let me add some grease fittings and it should be ready to fly
Ok my sides are hurting from laughing haliarous 👍
I visited there in the early 60s and was very impressed with the planes they had then. I would love to go back some day and see what they have now. Great video.
The footage you got in the Biplane was so incredible! That had to be a blast.
Hi Andrew. New subscriber from Central Highlands Scotland. Been enjoying your videos and going back through your catalogue from the wee telly in my shed during our covid lockdown. Especially like your adventures with the dogs and you fixing stuff. Keep up the great work. Best wishes. Youll need to expand your castle for a runway now.
Seems like a perfect chill fall day. Thanks for taking us along!
The coolest dude on RUclips doing the coolest things on RUclips, thanks Andrew for taking us along! This was exciting and fun!
Andrew thank you for bringing us along on that adventure. Freaking awesome!
I like that little tank. They did a good job restoring it. 🇺🇲
Thank you for the amazing video nice to see you and your girl out
Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Probably the coolest thing ever. Thanks for sharing!
Once again Andrew shows the beauty of the Hudson Valley.
Great video, I love old planes, didn’t expect to see them on your channel but, a nice surprise, thanks!
Beautiful planes with so much history and got to see your property from a birds eye view!! Priceless
Andrew, thanks for the tour. Enjoyed it a lot.
that flying over your own property shot was awesome!
the engine sound when the plane fly by is so good.
Thanks for another great video Andrew
Awesome Video Andrew!! Thanks for sharing
Andrew you just emptied my bucket list.thanks from a old man in the uk.
Took my twin daughters on a biplane ride last year. It was fun sitting in an open cockpit going slow and looking over the country side. A memory that I won't soon forget and this video helped to relive that fond memory. Thanks Andrew.
good to see you around again my friend we need more videos .....keep them coming
What an awesome video of years gone by. What a collection of memorabilia and they fly and drive. Thanks for taking us along Andrew.
been there often years ago, always a good show...
6:47 ; I work as a manufacturing engineer for Continental Motors here in Mobile, Alabama! They’ve made their aircraft engines the same way for decades.
Thanks Andrew for taking us on another great learning adventure!!!
Rhinebeck Aerodrome is so cool!! Haven't been there in a few years, but need to go again. Thanks for sharing your visit there!!!
Dont let your Jetski collection turn into an airplane collection😂
Well airplanes are certainly more interesting I think.
Please do! ;-)

Exactly wath i was thinking hahahaha
Well the "cheapest" airplane might be Scrappy (Mike Patey is building it from scrap parts and free stuff, sort of...), it isn't on the market.
Wow man, you truly got the full experience of that attraction. Good on you!
Brings back memories for me, 8 yrs old or so , dads friend had a plane at the Strongsville Ohio airport took me flying, I recently took my great nephews in a biplane Manteo North Carolina, good memories for all. Andrew one of the best videos in your collection. Thanks for sharing!
Andrew looked like a kid in a candy store getting to drive that old fire truck.
He just needed the firemans hat. ;-)
I felt like a kid in a candy store getting to watch him drive it.
I’ve been and seen the shows, pretty cool!
This was so awesome Andrew, thanks for the tour! Especially those two oldest aircraft, had never seen anything like that before.
Now you're talking. Old flying bird. Great place. It's now on my list to visit for next year, on the top three. Thanks for sharing.
When the words 'antique' and 'airplane ride' is mentioned in the same sentence, that's when I tap out.
To fly any air plane it has to have annual inspection, any little defect and it can't fly till fixed. So if the wing spar shows decay it has to be replaced to fly. Thus the machines are kept up in safe flying condition
When the words "airplane ride" are in the same sentence, that's when I tap out.
That bit about chicken wire to stop bits of the engine damaging the prop when they fall off. I mean you wouldn't catch me in any of those planes anyway, but hearing how they needed to take measures to protect against the engine shredding parts... that underlined it for me. That and helicopters - especially those made by Robinson.
You don't worry when they leak oil. You worry when they DON"T leak oil 'cause that means there isn't any....
John Manning John that goes for every Landrover and British motorcycle ever made as well.
Saw a castle @2:54 😎
It’s just a little shame you can’t see the castle anymore because of the new roof😔

interesting, the fire engine suited you more than the airplanes though! always a special feeling when you can look out an aircraft and see home or work! great video as always
Andrew, you are putting the Hudson Valley back on the map!! Glad to see you are back on the channel.
Incredibly beautiful landscape and amazing sense of adventure. My bosses liked flying planes like this in Florida circa 1980.
I don't even know if Andrew sees these comments, but once again I have to say how happy it makes me to see Andrew so happy and smiling in these videos. I'm really glad he's having a good life. He deserves it!
Planes trains and automobiles... you never know what you are going to get on Andrews channel. Great views I loved the shot extending out looking back at the plane in the sky. Good stuf
Hi Andrew my wifes 2nd cousin cole palen started Rhinebeck aerodrome. My friend (rip) Bill Gordon SR. of Copake ny
Who tragically and publicly died while flying vintage aircraft was chief mechanic and pilot at the aerodrome while also being a professional stunt pilot.
Cole was a legend and visionary. He is missed but his aerodrome lives on!👍
Fantastic, thank you for taking the time to share
This has been my 25years wedding Anniversary tour with my wife. Thanks Andrew.
Andrew, thanks for taking us along for some excellent American history. Also you should introduce your friend to the viewers.
Learning to fly is so much fun but very expensive, for my budget anyway. Ive got many many hours in a Cessna 172 but nowadays I stick to drones. So much cheaper and safer. Great video Andrew.
Nice colors, lots of history, oh well filmed, thank you!
I had a very special opportunity to fly a J3 cub when I was 16 with a family friend. It was an experience i will never forget.
I love that stuff.... Great job on this one....
Imagine the balls of steel, of Charles Lindbergh.... He's in a flying fuel tank, looking out a periscope..... Holy crap....
I see you've upped your drone game...🤣
Awesome video. Loved the old air planes. Thanks so much.
Just brilliant. A bonus to watch antique vehicles. Thanks for the ride.
I spent many weekends at Rhinebeck Aerodrome when I was In IBM schools back in the sixties. It is amazing how little has changed. That yellow plane was made the same year I was. :)
Wow! So absolutely cool Andrew! You live in one of the most beautiful places in the world! Really shows from up in the air. The fall colors are gorgeous! You should send this to Juan Browne. Blancholirio. He would love it! Cheers and thanks for taking us along!
Juan would love it...and Lt Pete.
Wonderful Andrew and museum staff. Thanks for showing us all that.
That was a good video. I really enjoyed seeing all those antique vehicles and planes.
This is different than usual.......I love it!
Really neat. I flew Aeronca Champs and Piper J-3 Cubs when I first started flying. I liked the Champ better because you could fly solo from the front seat. Eventually worked my way up to other aircraft, including Lear 35, T-38 and 4 engine heavies. I always wanted to restore an old aircraft - never did. But I have .01% of Andrew’s mechanical skills. I am sure he could.
Wow! Great time there. That bi-plane looks like a kick in the pants to fly in.
Great video Andrew.
Thank you
Very enjoyable to watch Andrew and his friends at work or play. Looking forward to many more of his videos...
Me: Hey my house is on fire,
FD: okay give us 45 minutes to start this fire engine and we will be on our way
On part 2 Andrew stands out on the wing and fixes an oil leak mid flight and prevents crashing
very nice, thank you. i learned on a j-3 cub back in the seventies.
(beautiful and quick to laugh is always a winning combo andy)
AC I love this so much. This tour is next level. I want to visit there someday!
id be nervous if he asked Andrew to install a stereo :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Break out the Husqvarna!
Andrew looks so happy at 22:15
Whoever manages that airport takes great pride in their work.
Wow! What a gold mine of history. Cool place.
The best part was the 69 Chevelle. My 70 Hurst Olds and those were a real pair.
I’ve been flying cropdusters for 8 years and I can tell that having an engine failure at low altitude over an wood area like that is likely 100% fatal. Stay safe. Fly high.
Wow, thanks for letting everyone know.....I sure feel better now.
So flying higher is safer??🤔🤔 I’m confused 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@yoderd2080 it gives you a longer time to find an empty spot on the ground for an emergency landing
@Never Gonnatell the treetops that looks soft to settle the plane in, hide the solid logs/trunks. The plane’s main fuselage is quite slim. It will go through the tops and crash on the logs in most cases.
That was amazing, what wonderful planes and cars, the fire truck, wow, that was really something!
That's so awesome. Glad u shared this video with us Andrew. I'd love to fly in one that old.
For once, I have you up on something. I have my private ticket. But I see there are several other even more senior pilots commenting here.😉
