the way we were taught bandhas in Isha 's inner engineering, it was different.

Dear Deependra, that is very possible. It is good to understand that there are many forms, schools and traditions of yoga practice. It is not that there is only one way the right way. Just try for yourself the different versions and feel which one works best for you.

    Thanks for the video!
I see in your site and also in the hatha yoga pradipika, that should hold the breath in, and not realese it before applying the maha bandha.
So why you( and every other video that i see from other channel) exhale the breath?
    Its realy confuse me
    Plis help😢🙏

Michael are you aware of the bandhas sequence taught by Sadhguru in inner engineering programme for Shambhavi maha mudra? That is a bit difficult to do. Maha bandha feels more natural. Pls guide.

I am doing this bandha for few days i am getting some pain in the thigh like some current is flowing in a muscle when i release mulabandha is this comon
    Thanks

Congratulations. You are one of very few who teach this accurately.
    My only criticisms are:
    1. Your narration is out of sync with your actions. It LOOKS LIKE Jalandhara was performed before exhalation was fully completed. (I know it wasn't, but your words were behind your actions, making it seem like the Bandha was applied mid-breath!). Please emphasise that no breath should move in or out while any bandha is being held.
    2. You said "apply Moola Bandha to your private parts". Wrong. Mool Bandha is a tightening ONLY of the perennial muscle, NOT of urinary (Vajroli/Sahajoli Mudra) or anus (Ashwini Mudra) muscles.
Btw, Maha Bandha should be, can be, held for much much longer than you demonstrated -- especially if it is performed BETWEEN ROUNDS of Bhastrika Pranayama and WITHIN EACH ROUND of Nadi Shodhana Pranayama during the breath retentions -- Jal and Mool only on the internals, and Maha on the externals. In this way, the quantum of prana assimilated from the pranayamas is vastly multiplied.
