Being an 800 meter runner, I feel the lactic acid just by watching this
So true
Facccts!!! Im sitting on the track as we speak, jus finished my workout. Preparing myself for this 2400 meter run for the air force. Im inspired by these young men!
What to eat before 800 race
MPSC Exam Guide smoothie with not too much milk, blueberries/berries and nuts and seeds. Makes me very hyper and energetic
MPSC Exam Guide or a banana and some nuts
They just jogged my 400 pr😂
Honestlyyy
Right? 51.75 pb here lol
My pb is 49:59 and I take running seriously
They just destroyed mine lmao
I am 2 months old and my pr is 37.13 so shut up
Is it just me or do they look like they are unfazed by this workout ... these times are beast mode for just a workout !!! A workout !!!
United States Citizen clean diet , sleep , dedication , motivation would do miracle over years. But yes they make it seem effortless 🤣😂😂🤦♂️ crazy
The 400s weren’t even at their 800m pace, not an insane workout for them
I’m a 800m runner under 20 but I’m 16. That’s my workout on an easy day. Not at those times. When I’m working out with my team mates they be like “ bruh how you just chilling” I be running a 600m in 1:30 it’s crazy how hard track athletes work!
East African Genetics
@@kadenjones5469 I’m 15 & my pr in a 600m is only 1:40.
Dang they're beautiful to watch. Such a clean stride.
When they hit 400m @ 51 seconds on that 2nd set, I was like woahhhhh 😂😅. That’s next level right there
That was the 3rd. That was too fast lol. Should try to hit the splits
The 800 meters one of the most painful races ever and quick
Ah ain't you did run 1:55 in College
Next level nigga thats word record
Its my best time en 400 and they do it on train🤪
It's cool to have Paul Ereng, the 1988 800m Olympic champion as your coach.
Workout must’ve been easy for these guys. 56 and 54 is cruising for them
Eric Barnes Yeah, they are used to running 51 or 52 first 400m splits. They can both run around 1:43 probably. David Rudisha is still in my opinion the greatest 800m runner of all time.
Jordan Shaw yeah I know. This is a kind of workout I could do. Probably just doing it as a light but quick workout before NCAAs and no doubt Rudisha is the greatest. He holds the 2 fastest times ever in the 800.
I mean they split 51.8 for one of them so not that easy.
Joe Fast for them it’s pretty easy. They still had to try but still can do it very comfortably
Trust me it's easy for them. The first 2 sets at 56 and 54 were a warm up for that 51.8.
Top milers and 5km guys can do 8-10 x 400m at their mile pace with a minute rest so in the 55-56 range. Now if you give 2min and 5min rest to guys who can run 45-45.5 for 400m for less than 2 miles total they will do some damage!
Beautiful stride
that's not David Rudisha
Chris Tose I thought the exact same thing
Chris Tose he is not the best anymore
Really? Anyone break his world record?
Enrique Calla yeah but he doesnt have the world best this year
искусство he has been out on injury
What we can't see is how friggin hot it is there.. and to top it off, the sun is most likely hovering 50 feet above the track.
Dave Oriente I love El Paso but for sure it’s hot and high elevation...sort of
Actually, the sun is much more than 50 feet away. I would guess that it is over 3,000,000 miles away.
@@stershoe835 lol
Their 800m pace is faster than my 100m pace...
and probably 99,9% of the human population
Cameron Gray ゴミだな笑
Same, my fastest 100m is 13 seconds, which works out to a 3:29 mile pace. Their 800m is probably ~1:43, which is a 3:26 mile pace, or 8 12.8 second 100m sprints in a row.
to be fair, their 100m pace over 800m isn't account for starting at a dead stop like a single 100m sprint
Brendan Berney dam I’m 13 and my best is 12.21 my 100 is barely faster than there 800 and I train alot
Watching the lead dude run sends shivers down my spine. Such a perfectly fluid stride and cadence!
they literally just jogged a 26 second 200m...
It’s not jogging it’s running with perfect form so it looks like they are jogging lol
That 51.8 looked so easy good lord!!
Vibes Easier than Michael Norman's 46.3?
jhoncena1111 not quite. That prelim 46 was insane lol
michael normal was running hard till he hit the 100m mark then he slowed down. he wanted the crowd to think he's some sort of other worldy creature that jogs 400m in 46 when he was actually TRYING mom
brittone Michael Norman is DADDY
brittone lolol
This is amazing. These times are very fast and they are easily running them back to back.
Paul Ereng! Back in the day I had raced him and beat him in an indoor 800m. Nothing crazy, just 1:54. Later that year, he broke out then won the Olympics. The following season, one of my Kenyan teammates gave me a message from Paul. He said I would NEVER BEAT HIM AGAIN! TRUE THAT!! LOL! Keep training these studs Paul!
How did he lose when his pr is like 11 seconds higher than 1:54
There just jogging at a fast pace and hitting my time
2:50 - queue perfect running sync
I SWEAR ITS BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH
David Rudisha looks different
The Lonesome Runner ....so true
@@danpatrick5944 David Rudisha hasn't been relevant in a long time
Ryan Shumaker ....I didn’t know someone broke his record
@@danpatrick5944 no one did. But he is no longer the best 800 runner in the world and hasn't been for a few years now. So the title of this video is accurate.
@@RSSP2000 exactly when he was running those times he was but he isn't running those times currently so he's not the best in the world
Stride is mesmerizing
You lay a finger on them and they fall, no strength at all
Beautiful stride and in sync??? I’m trying to be like them😍
gold medal at Tokyo, paid off!
lol you had the same idea as me
absolutely beautiful. looked easy. Paul Ereng was a stud in his day as well
Rep 3: *runs 51* not too fast was it?
Emanuel: “ahhhh” 😂😂
Otis Jones 51 is a split for their all out 800s, these guys are crazy.
Every time I watch this workout, I am in awe, first-ever workout Wednesday I watched and still I am impressed
I don’t run track... I play another sport but as an athlete. Just have to appreciate how effortless and fast they run 1 lap like wtf. They look so smooth and quick without trying.
How do they have such a nice stide? Whenever I run I look like a fish flipping out of water, my legs kicking everywhere....
Stretching and striding drills over time it looks this good
Less of stretching (stretching is important for maintaining proper range of motion and only that imo) more of just base mileage and strength work over years that aloud to build their muscles in a much more fluid way it takes time training constantly and consistently
practice
You probably pronate if your legs feel like they swing away from your body if I had to guess. Upload a side profile of you running and I could let you know more specifically
Amazing....their actions are so fluid !!
these guys are ROLLING
Very very strong!!! Thank you very much for this motivation.
Greetings from Munich, by a Triathlet.
Great to see a coaching session with the speeds/ rest periods and the session all laid out professionally. Well done to all involved. How did they run at the championships? How many times do they do a session like that in a season?
The fluidity is off the charts. Salute! Great job brothas!
You program is good it has done miracles for my students
These guys are special my word
Practice makes a man Perfect ❤️👏🏻
Running very smoothly.
I love this workout
I'd be going all out racing tryna catch up with them, my PRs are 4:42, 2:01, and 0:54
Fast boi
how old are you?
@@zoegreen905 20 now going to a D1
what collehe are you going D1 for
Superb! Keep progressing
imagine WILLINGLY running the 800
Its fun
😂, my sentiments exactly...but then some have made peace with pain..
Interesting future for them. But damn, that track sounds so hard.. Listen when they slow down.
The heat their really helps get you in shape. Just have to build up to it.
who is here one of them won gold at the olympics
Soooo graceful.
Emmanuel Korir is now the 6th fastest man in the 800 meter event EVER!!! He has run faster since this video. I am very excited to see what he will do in the future. His 400m personal best time is UNBELIEVABLE for a 800 meter man. If you don't believe me....look it up.
You have to be a dedicated son of a gun to develop that kind of work capacity. Many Africans come here to run, get an education, and run some more. We all have it in us to be great at something. How willing are we to work for it and how willing are we to be pushed, trained, and coached. El Paso does have a change of season but most days are sunny. Combine that with the altitude and you have a good place to train for 400 meters on up. The UTEP Campus is hilly along with that part of town so you can get hill work in. Once I went to an indoor meet in Albuquerque and D2 Adams State from Colorado is unbelievable as well. Great Running tradition as well
Crazy how UTEP is STILL getting some elite Africans. My uncle ran there in the 80's.
I seen your All Video's
Full best video
Love your workout
Very nice tips for Speed run
LOVED IT.
bravo a tous
Amazing form
The background music is great I love it
cool
Amazing running form
Good job guys
nice music, nice stride.
They make it look like a walk in the park.
Paul Ereng....@0.09, UTEP Head Coach, was the Gold Medalist in 1988 Seoul Korea Summer Olympics in Men's 800m Meters , fyi💪👍
The competition is probably Nigel Amos. Would love to see him and Korir dip into the 1.41 zone! (Yes I know Amos already has).
Hello / Amazing runner
They are special group
☆Train hard win easy☆
I did this workout just over a month ago. But we did 2x(4x2x2)... so one less set. I went 56-28-26 56-26-28. Let me tell you, the last 2, 200’s of the last set were super hard.
How fast could you run a 800?
@@arthur-yf1dp I ran 1:57 but season got canceled I was shooting for 1:54
@@God-cm5xswhats you pb now
Congratulations warriors

BOLT CLAN i will , but where is your from ?
Talk about a stacked team
the longer the distance the more respect i have for them
I was clickbaited!! These guys are not David rudisha and Nigel Amos
They use to it,training at high levels they come like this
Super
Hey Utep Miners stadium! Got family that is alumni from there. To anyone that loves track and field. Especially the Masters events as well. I have a dilemma and need y'alls opinion.
For the first time since 1998 I ran in a open track meet 60M Masters 30+ and won it a few weeks ago. Felt like I shut it down a little early due to. Well lack of training and play it again track spikes on. No excuses but I really feel like I couldve done better.
My 9th and 10th grade boys are in track now. One is a sprinter and one is a thrower. After the HS season and Corona Virus complications Im going to have them experience AAU like I did in San Diego. Better late than never right?
Long story longer. Now Im training for June 6, 2020 to run the 100M and 200M Masters 35-39 at 39 as of a few handful of days from now.
My ULTIMATE life long goal is to run in the Penn Relays so next years bday present/bucket list to myself is to compete in the Masters 40+ 100. As a teen I wouldve cancel all appts and outdoor activites to watch it. I used to run AAU in California when Obea Moore was around and Monique Henderson. If you havent heard of them for any reason regardless of generation. Look them up both were top Men and Women competitors and I had the blessing of watching them in their youth. Incredible to watch.
Well, I pulled my hamstring my Senior Year going in as Top Returner for "Western League" CIF in SDtrackmag. For the 100M, 200M, amd 400M. I actually still share the 100M record for my HS 10.8. If I had I stayed hydrated, got proper rest, and stretched that time wouldve been brought down a bit in my opinion.
I wanted to document my training, times, splits, and change of diet to prepare for July. To show a timeline of this 38 almost 39 year old power over that hill and see whats on the other side.
I'm actually starting day one this Saturday and will start documenting from the first minute.
I was wondering if anyone thinks its a good You Tube Channel for myself called.
"In 2021 and still 40 years young. The Masters plan of getting back into 100 meter shape. Penn Relays here I come"
Please no harsh criticism I just think the bond my kids and I are having as they have been more exposed to electronics and what they want to do we will supoort them (10th grader did band for a while. I played football).
I really dont mind giving advise to the younger kids because the J.O. in New Orleans was fun and I wish I couldve ran earlier than 8th grade.
Got into lifting for a bit then I played USSSA softball for a good while and in the B & C Open competitive divisions. So luckily I wasnt in terrible shape but lost more steps than Id like to.
Lmk what yall think? Thanks and God bless.
For those interested Ill make the channel and add or update you. Hopefully Flotrack sees this and I appreciate all the great videos.
Flo Jo was at a Poway relays meet when Obea ran the 400 Intermediate. I'll mever forget that day.
🙏🙌✌
I’m speechless...workout was easy for them 😂
It looks so easy
I hope I can run for them this year 😭
What watch did the lead guy use at the first 400
Song name?
What’s scary is that there running slower than usual pace only by a couple seconds but still crazy what next level running is
Would like to see Saruni go up against Wycliffe Kinyamal
This workout really gave me a gage of how fast elite runners are 🤯
what running watches are they using
Olympic champion now
Viendo los entrenamientos de este ídolo despues de correr en Tokio y coronarse campeón olímpico
Best
I wish I could run like that, heck I''d settle for half that speed
If i had video earlier i would have had a medal
what’s the name of this song seems like a fire workout song
1600 workout telling
What is the best time?
While in high school Paul Ereng designated a group or us as strictly “Grass Runners”. We were not fit for the track because he couldn’t tell whether we were running or standing😂
At utep no doubt
Is this like a anaerobic capacity workout? Add up the times and it's a very competitive 800 so they're just building capacity it looks like?? So if your a 2 flat runner you could run this in like 60, 30, 30 right?
It’s a speed endurance workout
Since this was uploaded Korir has won an Olympic and world championship gold
And now olympic champ
What song is this?
When I was a high school freshman, I ran a 2:12 800m. Is that good? I am a sophomore rn, going into track looking to drop it to sub 2:05. Is that realistic, plus what do you think my 400 would be. I am mostly a 800 and 1600 runner but I want to know what range I should expect.
You could probably knock out a 57-60 400. Dropping from 2:12 to 2:05 is tough but doable. Lots of 200s and 400s.
I was a freshman last year and I went from 23 to 08. just grind man. Yes its very possible just make sure to get in some longer runs
Song plz?
Music name please!!
This is crazay 🥵🥵🥴
