I miss when gdq was just a really small event, it felt more personal and friendly then. I still really enjoy watching the event, this just has more of that small town feel to it.
Good and it is one of my favorites! ❤ But, I don't know how it is like now because I never looked at the new game speedruns now because I like certain games that I loved as a kid!
It got waaaay too corporate and political.
Rules, Covid restrictions... feels like some huge corporation trying to satisfy sponsors instead of the people there watching.
I refuse to watch it because it’s become a leftist event. These trans rights bs are uncalled for. Nobody givens a sh*t about advertising for trans.

Once you've felt the wet slippery squeeze you start to become kind of a douche. It helps you get the wet squeeze due to male/female polarization

nearly 7 seven years later and this is still my favorite GDQ run.
Every bonesaw run is the best. Plus if you'd look just at the statistics alone, every run bonesaw held at AGDQ had the biggest donations. Bonesaw has always earned AGDQ the most money with his runs.

Funniest commentary I've seen on one of these playthroughs so far. Bonesaw is a cool and funny guy, and his commentary isn't that death-serious like some other speedruns (in a good way).

Idk if anyone at or involved with gdq will see this, but bring back bonesaw, trihex and werster. they helped you make yourself the corporate entity you are now and they have all payed whatever dues/punishment you felt was necessary, and keeping them from the event with an iron fist is disrespectful and idiotic.
i really liked the commentary of the the 2 guys sitting in the front, while the speed runner is playing, the guy on the right is explaining everything in detail about speed run techniques, lots of great info while watching the speed run.
This was a really cool Hotline Miami run.

As someone who recently got interested in LM speedrunning, the boolossus strat nearly made me cry tears of joy. Even if I never make it anywhere, at least I have a way to finally gold Boolossus after many, MANY pain filled years of being able to gold everyone but him. So thank you for that, excellent run!

Kurt Eichorn I used to spend hours running around throwing shit at the alien's junk in penumbra. Those games are just a little to sandboxy to be legitimately scary/atmospheric.

Soooooo good! This is one of the best speedruns I've ever seen, and that's besides the fact that LM is one of my top 5 all time fav games. I picked up a few good strats from this, even though I don't really try speedrunning it myself...Just better ways to play.

It's because the Hotline Miami run was so fast and he had to explain a lot so no donations were read, maybe a few were. It might be demoralizing but I believe most of the runners are friends so they'll be happy for each other. They read out Luigi Mansion donations near the end of the run :)
Golden's reaction at 26:15, and that mouse 10 seconds later... I feel like there's joke potential here but I can't quite put it together. Something something gold animals, something something revenge...
ExpHP it has to do with bidding war between kill or save the animals for Metroid Prime ending. Killing the animals is a faster speed running of the game but harder to attain. So it takes more talent to pull off and the speed runners in the back want to see that happen and bonesaw decided to save the animals which confused them
1:00:10 same here. I also played this when I was younger and the blackout was so scary for me I didn't play the game for a month. (But I did beat it)
