      I think the answer is in the mix! When mixing, an emphasis is placed on the mids, which are the frequencies where guitars predominate.
      The Titans, due to their materials and manufacturing objective, are focused to highlight the mid frequencies.

      The omega has the least amount of low end by far of the group which makes sense as they are speced out and EQed like that. The Rag's have the fattest warmest tone of the bunch and are also the hottest. • @YaBoiTeehds
    @YaBoiTeehds 2 года назад

    The Rags seem to have a nice presence boost in the high mids like the Jugs, that sets them apart from the others in the mix context. But they also have all the thick, weight for the single notes and chugging. To my ears, the Rags would be the fastest to mix in full band context. They seem to be harmonically richer than the rest but not loose, boomy or congested in the 200-450Hz range that blankets so many pickups under saturated dense mixes. That said, I love them all!

    Fantastic riff choices, The mix really drowns out the subtle differences, but solo'd the omega and ragnarok sound super similar. The juggerenaut sounds like it pickups up more harmonics on the low end( in the good way). Funny how different companies can achieve similar results for these guys.

    Omega definitely shines on chords clarity, suiting considering Mark's style. Sounds the best on Sentient Glow but sounds kinda weak on Icarus imo.
    Ragnarok sounds huge and aggressive, capturing lots of freq range though with emphasis on certain mid tone.
    Juggernaut sounds tight, clean, and bouncy, definitely strong in the mid region. Sounds the best on Icarus imo.
    Titan doesn't really shine on any example but it kinda works on all. Maybe the most versatile?

Both are comparable in terms of quality, but the SILO's seem to have a slight bit better chord articulation (only slightly) while the Fishmans have better clarity overall. i don't think this clip does justice to the pickups imo, i played all of them besides the ragnaroks, and they all sound different, in feel and tone, they sound better in different amps and with different pedals imo
    juggernauts - probably the best sounding of them all, easy to play on, quite aggressive and midrangey, some people say they are honky but i don't think so, they have a nice roar to them when playing chords
    alpha/omega - the palm mutes are sooooo pleasing, chunky, they have this depth to them, cleans are aenemic with decent split, careful with the high end as they can get pretty brittle
    titan set - my favourite for my playing style, versatile, nice musical palm mutes, it shares a lot in common with the juggernauts, and can get very brutal when you dig in enough, perfect for leads and clean stuff
