We can definitely have a look at filming some more blindfold challenges between these Epiphone acoustics & other brands. In terms of the review - we filmed a full in-depth review on the Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Range here: ruclips.net/video/JALAG38257E/видео.html
@@andertons - Looking forward to it! Hopefully you can include some 'GUILD' models in the review from the Westerly Collection line up? They sound great for the price point. Cheers
I swear I`d die a happy man if I could play one fifth the way Ben plays, man, I gotta get myself a 12 string, I gotta study Bens playing, I want to play guitar like Ben!
Really interested in one of these. Is the factory setup good (e.g. low action) or will it need a visit to a luthier? Recently splashed out on a Taylor and was less than impressed with the stock setup, though it sounds great.
Ben, great, great playing as usual - always enjoy hearing a paradiso episode. My only concern is that £750 for an Epiphone "feels" like a lot. I feel like I'd be risking regretting not saving for the full-fat Gib at that point as it's hardly cheap enough to write off as just a bad impulse choice. Great seeing you back though - am interested to know more about thumbpick(s) and thumbpicking but I doubt there's much incentive for Lee to have you commit a whole episode to it - shame, but would love to know your thoughts if you get the chance. Keep going with the great content!
The inspired by gibson epiphone and the actual gibson hummingbird sound very close to each other. If you were to listen to them with a blindfold, would you really notice any difference? Plus, it's solid wood, I'd say 750 for a solid wood guitar, with all those Hummingbird accesours is a great deal. It will sound better as it ages and once it opens up it'll sound just like a gibson. You really have to wonder wether paying 3000$ more is worth it.
@@ronholmesuk825 Oh I don't know, maybe because the moat important feature in a guitar is the sound? I know it's crazy to think but theres people who actually buy guitars for their sound not for a name on the headstock.
@@VHS_NEON Let's just agree to disagree. I was expressing an opinion, and that's not something that can either be right or wrong, it's subjective and even in 2021, still my right.
@@ronholmesuk825 And who said it's not your right? Like, how did you even make that connection. You litteraly asked why you should listen to them blindfold and I answered. Just like you asked wether the 750$ for the Epiphone are justified and I told you my opinion on why it is justified. Yet for some reason you completly missunderstood both of my answers.
The only problem I have with 12-string guitars (equally their saving grace) is that only strobe tuners are precise enough to get the strings closest in tune. Being a classically trained wind instrumentalist, and a 6 string guitar player, the out-of-phase/chorus sound is something I want to be able to switch on and off at will. That being said, Epiphone has knocked it out of the park with these "Inspired by" acoustics. My Explorer, while sufficient, is one of those times when you say "I definitely see where you drew your inspiration from" (but didn't quite hit the mark).
Did Gibson bring these back to the States where they belong or are they still building them somewhere else? Always hated what the previous iteration of Gibson did to Epiphone...was such a great, iconic brand and they just made it into a budget offering.
I find your comments really irritating as this is a Epi Inspired by review not an Eastman review! As a matter of fact I couldnt disagree with you more, the hummingbird looks and sounds far better than the Eastman AC330 12 which is very course sounding, isnt even the same shape or colour and is cheap looking to boot.
I have to say I’m a bit disappointed in this. It’s not as good or as full as the Gretsch 12 string I’ve got. Part of that comes from the fact that it is a jumbo but also there is something missing in the sound of this
@@jamesfyffe2610 That's weird. I just google 'convert pounds to usd' and boom, it's right there. I guess the internet is just harder for some people... 🤷♂️
Would love to hear this vs some of the other “budget” 12 strings, and also a real review of it.

would deffo love to see a 12 string review/shoot out, Ben, as usual, your playing is flawless, love it dude!
Agree, a few 12 strings under $1000, this one, the Guild comes to mind, I think maybe Martin has a 12 under $1K too.
Great sounding guitar. Good seeing and hearing you Ben.

Diablo Tristram. So nostalgic.
Wow, what a difference between the amp and mic. That would sound great panned.
I am now a mix of the amp DI and mic in front of the guitar.
or so I'm told
Do a blindfold challenge ... where you test different blindfolds for comfort and light blocking
How much better does the mic'ed demo sound?? Beautiful guitar - I just bought an Easman AC33012E but this possibly was all I needed. Oh well.
Ha did you ever compare them? I got the Hummingbird 12 string and am still wondering if the Eastman would have been better.
I just got my Guild 1512-E today! I’m comparing w this one. They’re both excellent! The Guild is louder w the jumbo body.
I must compliment your skill on the guitar, I enjoy your style and can see you're passionate about playing.
Now that is beautiful....love a 12 string!
Sounds great. Yes definitely look forward to a 12 string comparison. Make sure the Dane is there too. He definitely makes the videos more entertaining
"It doesn't have that high-end Gibson sound..." - to quote Maestro from one of the previous videos 😂
What it lacks that a Gibson model has, is an outrageous price tag.
All about the scalloped bracing
Sounds amazing I would be more than happy to own one if I ever actually played acoustic.
I'd be happy to own one if I ever actually played guitar.
Beautiful Man Beautiful 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
Very nice indeed. I'm still VERY tempted by the J200 and J45 from this range.
All wood no high pressure laminate right ?

I don't think my Guild 212 has to worry about losing it's place in the gear room... 8) JMHO --gary
love the tone..
As a 12-string player, I would record with that.
Would love to see this up against the Alvarez AD60 12, which I have and like.
Ben needs to do his own channel and do a review on Eastman acoustics. Preferably the E1D
Nice picking
I think you should do a distortion pedal blindfold challenge
Name of the sont in the intro ?
Agnesi's behind this for sure
ugh I want a 6 string hummingbird so much.

If you’re looking for a 12 string the Eastman AC330-12 is a must to try. In my opinion at its price point it’s the best value 12 string on the market.

$849 at Guitar Center and Sweetwater
