That's nice and detailed video.
I've been riding vstorm 650xt for a week and done my 1050 kms ride in last 4 days. Bike amazing on highways. Gives all the feel and confidence you need to overtake or cruise.
But i have a question, with such a low ground clearance and weight , do you think this one makes a good choice for tough terrains like spiti and himalayas?
And how about riding in traffic. I feel it has a bit hard clutch.
Your inputs pls.. Because i think im planning to own one in some time.

I fell in love with vstrom 650 after a recent test ride, however, from my current motorcycle 390 adv there is no substantial difference that motivates me to pick up a vstrom. Power to weight ratio is not that significantly different. Engine is superb. Budget is not an issue but somewhere I strongly feel i am going to miss the light weight and electronics and of course the service level. Still hanging in between this fight of heart and mind. I do not consider Versys, or Tiger 660 any competition.
Wait and jump directly towards Africa twin n otheres in similar segments, for now 390 is good and don’t sell it, keep one lighter motorcycle and one of the big adv bikes!

Does this bike run on normal fuel or only the premium fuel like speed, high octane fuel is required?

This Bike is very good. I am following another UK couple riding double on this Bike to Europe then to Marokko and going beyond. I think Rim bending can be repaired without replacement. Thanks.
Hi may I know the spares cost like the brake pads, tyres, chain sprocket, calipers, clutch plate assembly. And per service it costs just Rs.10k ?? And whats the service interval
Excellent review. But right now unaffordable for me 😭. Still running on stock chain sprocket? What would be the cost to replace? What about the cost of rear and front brake pads cost ?

I was shocked to see 160mm clearance from an adventure bike which is very very less
Currently with 410 Himi, never know when I'll be in a position to upgrade but keeping V-strom 650 at priority. If Honda/Yamaha/kawasaki can come with 650 segment will give a thought.
I'm planning to buy a 650 cc bike, I'm confused between versys 650 2023, 2021 v storm. I currently own a RE thunderbird. And also have done some long rides on interceptor 650.
I want a bike for touring with pilion mostly in india, keeping indian roads in mind. Also a trip to leh ladhak.

Thank you for the detailed review... Was very much confused between versys and vstorm... Helped me...having said that is normal fuel fine or should we opt for shell or premium fuel and does it enhance mileage by any chance?
Which bike is good v strom 650 or Tiger 850 sport. And which one is value for money.
Vstrom 650 is refined but not a comparison to Tiger, Tiger 850 and GS850 can be compared!
Buying sv650x in Europe which has the same engine. Unfortunately not available in India.

I would always recommend prospective buyers of Such Big Bikes to see this video and understand different aspects of this Bike. Suzuki Vstrom 650 XT.
Just going for a test ride will not be a wise alternative.
Especially if you are less than 5feet7.
Once the bike is Loaded and after a long distance travel stop.
Fatigue and dehydration will set in. Your reserve strength and overall physical fitness will take over the situation at hand.
So, please go through this presentation and make a mature decision.

Honda cb500x or sujuki 650 v strom xt
Currently I am using honda highness cb350.
CB500 if you want only bike in a garage, and Vstrom650 if you want to keep CB also and do long tours on Vstrom!
Can you Suggest me I am 5.7 can I go for this suzuki v strom 650 or benelli trk 502x...?

Honest, informative review on your set of wheels! I'm surprised by the fact that there isn't a service center in Thane where you can get your motorbike serviced! Cruising from Central suburbs to Western suburbs is always painful!! Or maybe Navi Mumbai may have a service center, which would make it easier for you?! Thanks for sharing. Ride safe & tc!
They have service center in Seawoods but mechanic are not there😀, one more Suzuki service center opened in Thane, so trying that now!

Price bahut zyada ho gaya . Versys 650 se 1.75 lac zyada cost hai. BS6 update mein 7.46 se 8.92 kar diya . Otherwise this is awesome machine
