I want to address your Cons. I agree with your dissatisfaction with the Instrument Cluster. As far as the Braking is concerned: I HAVE a GSX250R. I personally do not feel the front braking is bad; that being said I do agree that it is DIFFERENT from other bikes I have owned. The two things I noted about the front Brake: 1. Yes, it DOES require more pull from your hand to get it stopped, however, if you are aware of this going in, and you simply pull a bit harder, mine stops just fine. 2. I have not had the chance to look into this, but maybe higher quality aftermarket pads MAY help this. Regarding your complaint about its off-road "Lacking": 1. there are after-market rear shocks that would improve this. 2. You are running with STREET tires, so WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THIS BIKE TO DO OFF-ROAD?! Put some DUAL purpose tires on it, I expect if you make these two mods that the off-road handling will improve dramatically. Lastly, the broken foot Peg. I agree that a company as long lasting as Suzuki TOTALLY Dropped the ball there! If this is not something Suzuki is willing to correct, I would spend the few Bucks, and buy some higher quality foot pegs, BEFORE you take it home from the Dealership! THANK YOU for an excellent review! I bought my 2018 GSX250R Last June. I also think it is the "Perfect" Motorcycle, but I also thing its pros outweighs its cons. The only serious problem I feel is left hand side pulling which is still unsolved by company. Many vstrom SX owners across India are facing this problem.
Great review and pretty detailed one ! I have some questions - please help me answer those. 1) Is this built to last...how is the overall fit n finish ? 2) How is the headlight throw ?is it the same as dominaar ? 3) you told dat front brakes require more effort...? how is overall braking ?does the dual channel ABS do the justice? Or a good tyre would make a difference here ? 4) How is the overall service and maintenance cost 5) Can it do 120kmph all day long without any vibes ?
Biult is average Headlight throw is good but dominar is way better Service cost is manageable Breaking is poor ,parts worst Vibes are controlled Overall for 1.8 to 1.9 lakhs it's better worth
I have owned this for an year Build is Rock solid Service and maintance is minimal and cost very less compared to competitors Head light throw is normal you would need extra fog lamps It can easily do 120 without any stress or vibes Abs is great I never had any issue with brakes or brakepads Stock tyres are more than good enough for me Never felt the reason to change it It's rock solid to drive the balance and control on high speed makes it so secure I am very very happy with it
@@jayamuralimv1976 oh..dats grt to hear...and I think it's value for money proposition also.See..I am 6'2" in height ..so till 2017 all bikes seemed small to my stature .but recently new ADVs coming up (bigger in size)..which suits taller riders.. Plus point about dis bike which I feel is even though it is 250cc ...but it has 26hp power..!so sufficient for Indian roads.
Thanks for your review of the V Strom 250 it was very informative And as you are a big guy I see you had no issues about that being ergonomically too small I had my heart set on the re Himalayan but the Suzuki is a lot cheaper so I might go for it instead.and I would be on the road a lot sooner. Thanks again.
Been a VStrom SX owner for just over a month and covered 2200 kms. I hope I can help you guys with the few things I have to note. 1. One of the few bikes that is very suitable for tall riders. But for those with tall torsos, get bar risers or you'll face upper back pain. 2. This is one of those bikes that you won't fall in love with immediately. It shows its value with time and miles. 3. It's NOT an off-roader. At best it's what I call a sh*t-roader. It does it's best work when riding at a decent clip on sh*tty roads. 4. The speedo error is 10%. So if you want to cruise at a true 100kph, ride at a speedo-indicated 110 kph. 5. The app is decent but crashes often, so best use a phone mount for navigation. The USB charger is pretty good. 6. The exhaust position bothers your right leg placement. 7. The mileage is good as long as you keep things below 5500 rpm. Any higher and you lose 10 kpl immediately. 8. Brakes are adequate at the front. Talking to other VStrom owners shows me that the best time to replace brake pads is at 5K kms. 9. It passes the gf test but not the mom/mother in law test.(A personal thing I add as my gf finds it comfortable as a pillion but mom/mother in law don't, hehehe... 10 Headlights are good enough to not good in these heavy monsoon rides early morning. Pitch dark conditions require fog lights.
I own this bike for a year now and done around 8000 KMs. It has a gem of an engine. The bike looks awesome, feels awesome and rides so so well. A lot of folks underestimated this when it was launched, but boy this is good! Its sad to see that people get attracted towards RE way too much and underplay bikes like these.
After watching this reviews and many others , I finally bought v strom and its the best bike in 250 cc segment, best build quality, the engine , the ergonomics everything is well researched and applied. The suspension has to be stiffer because you cant get good control with too soft suspension , we cant get both, i easily cruised at 110-115 sometimes even 125 and bike was super smooth and infact dint face any heating issues , i had a question, what engine oil do you use ? I added ecstar semi synthetic one in first service, which one should i go next to make it more smooth, should i go for motul 3v or 7100 or ecstar, i have some vibrations on footrace on 2nd - 3rd gear but it goes away on higher gears
I’m Looking to buy this bike but I have a confusion either to go with x pulse or this and main purpose is for commute. I like the suspension and comfort of xpulse and I didn’t get much chance to test drive v storm on bad roads but as per your reviews and Suzuki reliability I want to go with v storm. The price is what makes me so hard to make decision now. V storm costs 80k more than Xpulse in Bangalore. Currently I get only free insurance offer on V storm. On top of this some are asking me to wait for Harley or triumph but I don’t want to go for more than 250cc keeping in mind about mileage.
Same here in Guwahati. The dealers are offering insurance discount but still I want this bike only. I have test ridden this bike more than 6 times already and this bike is like a dream. Will be Very good for touring and city commutes. Best of both worlds.
Namaste from namma kudla 🙏🏽 great review! The poor life of brakepads is similar in gixxer 250 as well. I replace mine every 5-6k kms in my gixxer SF250. Chain set also lasted only about 12k kms even after regular maintenance. Overall great bikes, but looks like some of these parts of not of great quality. Personally, I feel the naked gixxer is the best and most versatile among the 3 and most VFM as well. But it looks very small on taller guys like us, that's why I bought the SF!
@@BikerSaran224 ahh, as per my experience it's smoother than KTMs or Royal Enfields. Maybe not as vibe free as fz or gixxer 150 since the engine is bigger.
I took test ride today, breaking and front suspensions are major concern, I took ride of Xpulse also now I m confused between xpulse pro and vstrom 250
I own this beast. For any buyers i will advise if you are short. Think again. This bike is top heavy and hard to balance in slow moving traffic. For tall riders its amazing choice.
I own Apache 2004v 2021 version...my height is 5.4 and apche is suits to me perfectly ...I wanted to shift to this one ..the reason is I am just vexed with Apache repairs and after sales 😢 TVS after sales is very worst and there are some sort of issues coming almost every month ..seems this Suzuki was reliable...
If after sales is something that bugs you then, you ought to check more about the Suzuki experience in you circle, the place I bought from was not so good I had to travel 60km to find a good workshop..... But the built quality is something you'll appreciate during ownership period if you take the time to learn about the basic to intermediate level of maintaince knowhow. 🙏
Plz do tell us about which one should we buy Hero xpulse Or is honda planning to come with some spl off road or touring bike if u guys have any idea Or v strom 250 Any other bike
@@RanjanKumar-tk8fx two are very different. Xpulse is light and flickable but good for solo rides. It glides through bumps. For city commuting its amazing. But there is a sense of incompleteness throughtout. A want for more. Like you want more power, more stability in higher speeds, more space with a pillion, better quality of components, tubeless tyres. But an excellent motorcycle overall. But Vstrom is a complete package. Taller, spacious, powerful, stable, fuel efficient, awesome quality. The only cons are its not as flickable as xpulse or maybe im not used to it as yet, the ride is bumpy and feels substantially heavier. But now i can add an xpulse with the Vstrom. But cant go back to xpulse from the Vstrom.
@@Ashes-9 Planning to buy this. Saw everywhere that suspension is a big issue. Very bumpy and stiff. People also say to get better brakes, change the brake pads. What are your thoughts?
@@shauryasaxena13test ride, for me its fine cos i m a casual user. But i used to love the xpulse and i was always on the go. The Vstrom isn’t easy. Think of it in a way like the xpulse is a college going teenager, full of energy, lean and much more flexible. The V strom is a muscular guy over 30. Looks massive, purposeful and mature but stiff. 😂
I own this but for off road riding, this wouldn’t be the best choice. The XPulse would be the one to go for. This will handle off roads if you encounter it while touring or occasional excursions to off roads but it ain’t a core off roader.
I've been eyeing this bike for soo long now. But with newer bikes in the horizon, I'm unsure if I should go ahead with my decision to buy it or not. Anybody have any suggestions?
Hi. I own an Interceptor 650 and facing lot of wobbling issues and RE service is very bad. Can you suggest a bike that is good for both city and long distance touring. My expectations are that I wanna cruise at 110 to 120 kph without vibes. I’m a 6 ft tall rider and l’m looking for a tall bike with good riding ergonomics
Since you do these long drives.. how do you take care of the wind noise in the helmet, recently learnt that once the ear drum is effected it's irreversible 😅
The instrument cluster was far better in the 1st gen Gixxer. At least when a phone's not hooked-up, the panel should have been fully utilised displaying other ride-related info. I am the guy who enjoys and loves the ride, and for me this instrument cluster is totally useless. Take away the bluetooth connectivity: my phone does the job of navigation and other stuff far better than this clumsily-designed LCD panel. And instead give me a better front suspension set-up. For those 2 things, at least, this motorcycle holds no appeal for me!

This is a really nice bike but just sitting at the wrong price point
Well said.
Every Single Japanese 2 wheelers Sits At The wrong Price Points
In Australia it is very well priced, 20% cheaper than a Himalayan.
Do u want to offer bike at 1.50 lac
Chinese bikes like voge are coming to seduce yu
Suzuki lowkey making excellent affordable bikes
True that. If only the pricing was bit more aggressive.
I remembered myself missing my gixxer sf. I sold it away because of non availability of service or spares anywhere near my new town
Just one word : UNDER-RATED MOTORCYCLE!!
Very good content, i liked it. Just one request, please add service experience. Much needed.
Thanks for this awesome video. Loved it... 😍😍 V-Strom SX wait for me.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Good bike completed 14k kilometres very very good for touring can ride continuously for 200km
Very helpful to take decision. Thanks a lot 👍🏻
4) How is the overall service and maintenance cost
5) Can it do 120kmph all day long without any vibes ?
Biult is average
Headlight throw is good but dominar is way better
Service cost is manageable
Breaking is poor ,parts worst
Vibes are controlled
Overall for 1.8 to 1.9 lakhs it's better worth
@@aravindkumar4625 Thanks for your revert..my queries r now resolved!👍
I have owned this for an year
Build is Rock solid
Service and maintance is minimal and cost very less compared to competitors
Head light throw is normal you would need extra fog lamps
It can easily do 120 without any stress or vibes
Abs is great I never had any issue with brakes or brakepads
Stock tyres are more than good enough for me
Never felt the reason to change it
It's rock solid to drive the balance and control on high speed makes it so secure
I am very very happy with it
@@jayamuralimv1976 oh..dats grt to hear...and I think it's value for money proposition also.See..I am 6'2" in height ..so till 2017 all bikes seemed small to my stature .but recently new ADVs coming up (bigger in size)..which suits taller riders..
Plus point about dis bike which I feel is even though it is 250cc ...but it has 26hp power..!so sufficient for Indian roads.
@@powel12 it's not value for money, because Suzuki has very poor worst resale value ,too ridiculous,
Thanks for your review of the V Strom 250 it was very informative And as you are a big guy I see you had no issues about that being ergonomically too small I had my heart set on the re Himalayan but the Suzuki is a lot cheaper so I might go for it instead.and I would be on the road a lot sooner. Thanks again.
Can we compare speed 400 because of same price segment
Bhai, is this bike a good choice in 2024?

Sh*t roader 😂
Very nice bike especially for a long ride
I own this bike for a year now and done around 8000 KMs. It has a gem of an engine. The bike looks awesome, feels awesome and rides so so well. A lot of folks underestimated this when it was launched, but boy this is good! Its sad to see that people get attracted towards RE way too much and underplay bikes like these.
But no resale and hight price tag
Not VFM I guess
If only it had a VFM price tag. Would’ve done wonders.
Good things come at a cost 😊
@@ameyaw9507 but not this
After watching this reviews and many others , I finally bought v strom and its the best bike in 250 cc segment, best build quality, the engine , the ergonomics everything is well researched and applied.
Hi Akash, first of all congratulations 🎉 I am also thinking to buy this , when is the first service due? Can we take new bike for long rides?
@@bharatchander7619 yes you can , i did 250 km ride and it was not tiring , in-fact you can ride all day and cover more than 500-700 kms easily
Bought yesterday 😊😊😊 let me know what are the modifications you are planning to do, TIA
Get the best your money can buy. Thats the most important thing in this engine right? Great oil
Bro how much it cost on road and in which city?
I think you need to buy one. I want too but I'm still not in the position financially to purchase one
TVS RTR 310 is giving so many features at the same price point
With all the features RTR comes around 3.8 lakhs
Great review👍!
How bout the vibration?
How bout pillion seat comfortability?
Pillian seat comfort is top notch
Same problem, finally i have decided to for vstrom
Good Review. Enjoyed it.
Good video & good review.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks for Review. Is it suitable for female rider with 5'3" Height?
Nice review, thanks 👍
Brilliant review.

What’s about the after sale service and how to hazard lights?
yes missing the hazard lights, SUZUKI should had installed it !
Well summarised.
Bro, any vibration issues?
@@abhijeetkardile2023 very negligible amount of vibes at the top end. Overall very smooth and vibration isn't an issue at all.
@@suhas.kotianis it so ? It is the vibration issue that has put an embargo on myself getting this bike😮
@@BikerSaran224 ahh, as per my experience it's smoother than KTMs or Royal Enfields. Maybe not as vibe free as fz or gixxer 150 since the engine is bigger.

Does it lack in power??.
Does it make it feel you excited while revving?
I own this beast. For any buyers i will advise if you are short. Think again. This bike is top heavy and hard to balance in slow moving traffic. For tall riders its amazing choice.
Please give ur views on CB 300F against V Strom 250 also am confused.
Riding a 250cc Bike for continously 1000 Kms is more than sufficient to speak about its Comfort and Engine.

I love the bike and I'm 5'6, have gotten used to the height now.

Which one do you recommend among Honda CB 350 highness vs Suzuki V storm SX
Actually both are great.. still vstrom os very pocket friendly and has better quality

My height is 6ft4. Should I consider this bike?
Bought one. Couldn’t be happier. And coincidentally i traded my xpulse 200 4v for it 😅
Comparing with xpulse how is it?

Thank you for the video. I’m planing to buy this bike to practice off-road. Do you advise me?
I own this but for off road riding, this wouldn’t be the best choice. The XPulse would be the one to go for. This will handle off roads if you encounter it while touring or occasional excursions to off roads but it ain’t a core off roader.

V strom Is it good for both city and long drive
What are the service intervals for this bike?
Location : Maravante, near Kundapur.
Bingo
Marvante Beach, Kundapura, Karnataka 0:51
Since you do these long drives.. how do you take care of the wind noise in the helmet, recently learnt that once the ear drum is effected it's irreversible 😅
Keep cotton roll in the ear
Does wind hits your helmet?
What is your opinion of HondaCB200x? for a commuter (primarily) and to do Sunday rides, occasionally!?
Vstorm 250 is better then Honda CB 200 x
VStorm. CB200x is low on power and misses dual channel ABS.
