There was always a lot of surge and there used to be a lot more kelp and lots of big Calico Bass. I shot one about 10 lbs. once. Great table fare. We used to dive that spot at night for bugs. Lots of lobsters. My father would drive us there, since I was about 15, build a fire and sit on the rocks and drink beer while we were out diving. Thanks again for the memories. Since then, I have had the good fortune to dive all over the world...
awesome video. helpful tip for when you have a fish on your shaft and its lodged in a rock; slide the fish up your shaft onto the shooting line before swimming up. its a little extra protection in case the fish gets a second wind and it pulls out, ive had some houdini my flopper. worked out for you there though
