I've been fearful of repeating this after a botched job on provisional cast on. I've watched several videos but yours just clicked with me - that it was basically crocheting with your knitting needle in the way. THANK YOU!
I’ve been so intimidated by trying a provisional cast on that for a long time I refused to even watch a tutorial. Now I feel silly. I should have known better; your tutorials are always easy to understand.😅
Thank you for mentioning to use a smooth yarn for your provisional cast on. My most recent provisional cast on was with a non-smooth waste yarn, which made accessing the live stitches a challenge. Perhaps you could include that in your description of the video, so that watchers would see that BEFORE they cast on! I’m the perfect example of someone who needs to watch the video ALL the way through, catch that detail at the END, before casting on my project!!! Thanks for showing how to access the live stitches, as well. Blessings!
Thank you so much! You did it in such a way that I got it! I’m a new knitter but I know how to crochet and you made it so easy for me to understand. Thanks!!
Hi Andrea, if you put a Barber Cord beside your knitting needle and cast on the stitches on both your needle and cord would your live stitches be on the cord once you unzipped the crochet chain? 🤔
Thanks for a great tutorial! ♥ If your pattern is knit in the round, at one point after the provisional CO would you join in the round? Would you join in the round right away with your first knit round? Or knit a round straight and then join in the round? TY!
Best video on this subject that I have reviewed.
I love all of your tutorials, thank you for always teaching me something new every time I need to learn something new!

Thanks for explaining about losing a stitch with the provisional cast on. Other tutorials I watched didn’t mention how to makeup for the lost stitch.
thank you! That is the easiest way to make it. You are the designer I have the most patterns in my basket on rav :) Love from Germany
My go-to for this cast on! Thank you!
This is awesome. The easiest way to provisional cast on. Thank you!
Starting your Moonwake Cowl. Thank you for a very clear tutorial. BTW, big fan of your patterns !!!
Omg you made that so easy and you hold the yarn in left as I do. I really get it, thank you.

I am getting ready to start your Moonwake cowl and hadn’t really done a provisional cast on. Beautiful pattern! Hope I can do it justice.
