I agree completely because while our MPs have been wasting time arguing over amendments regarding wording over a ceasefire /humanitarian pause... the Knesset in Israel have actually voted themselves against the establishment of a Palestinian state. And ironically it happened while our MPs were debating so isn't it crystal clear that Israel will not even blink at a vote by the house of commons.
It shows how ridiculous we are and that our MPs are just full of self importance when in reality the world barely even notices. What a joke MPs should be sorting out homegrown issues and leave Israel and its genocide to the ICJ which is also sitting today listening to debate on occupation and other breaches of international law.

@@stevehayward1854 The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has tragically claimed the lives of many, including children. Recent reports indicate high numbers of casualties in the Gaza Strip, and unfortunately, this figure may change as confirmation continues. No matter the number, every life lost, child or adult, is a human tragedy.
Violence in any form, from Hamas attacks to the IDF's actions, poses significant risks to civilians, including children. It's crucial to acknowledge the suffering on both sides and avoid language that demonizes entire groups ("terrorists"). Instead, focus on the individuals impacted and the need for peaceful solutions.
The historical context of the conflict matters. Children have endured its repercussions for generations, participating in protests and experiencing violence firsthand. Schools and other youth spaces have not been spared. International organizations have urged both sides to uphold children's rights and avoid targeting them. Data suggests thousands of children have lost their lives on both sides in recent decades.
While the goal of protecting lives is paramount, the reality of conflict often leads to casualties, including children. The objective should be to minimize these losses and strive for a future where no child dies in war. Peace negotiations remain the only sustainable solution.
Extending peace wishes to all communities impacted by the conflict, including those in Gaza and those within Israel who yearn for peace.

Yet Hoyle thought it necessary to allow the Labour amendment on an SNP opposition day. The speaker is supposed to be unbiased. To show no favouritism. The fact that the Labour amendment was all about controlling its own M.P. s votes and had nothing to do with concerns for Palestinians was well known. Therefore Hoyle's decision was not in Parliaments interest, as a whole's, it was in the interest of Labour's internal interests. Hoyle has shown himself to not be independent nor unbiased and must resign
