It’s about time someone run tests via an oscilloscope on them eye watering price for just the cable. In my book cable is cable, I know that the thicker the cable the the better for home HiFi system, but them headphone cables would melt with a high voltage.
I do not recommend W80 they sound good but will cause you so much sound problems with little moisture that you will start to realize when the guarantee is over.
@@TotallydubbedHD keep in mind I'm not talking about sound just the overall look of the product. For 1500 dollars they should be made out of metal or atlest put 2pin connection instead of mmcx. Does the plastic build feel sturdy or cheap?.
@@TotallydubbedHD good point but I haven't had problems with fit for metal iem. I have seen the fiio f9 and it is aluminum and looks really premium. I guess for functionality plastic is lighter but I have heard people complain about the nozzle is broken over time with the shure products. I really like the shape of westone w80 and it looks like the fit would be great.

The cable noise is something u have to live with if you have an all cable as the cable coating is very hard and conducts sound very well

ALO cables microphonic is really big issue. I tried it once, too bad that it's really good sound quality but I don't want to buy it because of that.

I tried w80 instore a while back and it definitely not worth the money. Same with andromeda and any iems. Buy headphones instead.
