I'm a bit disappointed with the Akaso Go app though - it doesn't let you change any settings like you would on the camera - angle, exposure, time lapse etc. It's really just a very basic preview/record app.

I also noticed the same iPhone. I noticed it was accessing Tmobile. I turned akaso’s slide under Tmobile in cellular. It worked fine thanks. In iPhone >settings >cellular >scroll down to akaso go and turn off.
Hey Thanks for watching the video. In my opinion running the cam with app will definitely drain the battery faster, because the camera needs to keep the wifi on all the time. However I did not notice any heating in the cam. But I will test this again and let you know.
It always Records onto the SD card in the Camera. You could only control the camera from the app and see a preview of what the camera sees on the mobile screen. However once your video is recorded, you could download a low resolution version of the video onto the phone through the wifi, using the app. Hope this helps.
I can do and have successfully done all this with my Akaso Brave 7LE and like you get the video on my smartphone. However my question is then why do I not see the video that is recording on the rear camera screen? I only see the text on black screen. I have many action cameras from Yi, Sony, Nikon and all cameras, once connected will display the video being recorded on both the smartphone and rear camera screen. It's very odd to me that Akaso only shows the video being recorded on the smartphone during WiFi connection and not on camera screen also.

Hi, please try once by putting your phone in flight mode and only turning on wifi. In any case, in my opinion if you are happy with the picture and video quality and with the camera in general, you do not need to change it, since the wifi feature is not so useful anyways, you could copy the photos and videos Direct from memory card if you use a memory card reader.
I connected a V50 pro with my moto G stylus. It only took a couple of hours including giving up several times due to frustration. Unfortunately I wasn't able to connect the thing before the trip I bought it for, but it can be done.

my akaso always freeze once downlod video from wifi and akaso's manufacture suggested us to change memory card at least orginal memory card such as scan disk and samsung, but havent yet try it because we must buy it again
My problem is when after I dowloaded the video, my Samsung galaxy j4+ can not read it if I record it in 4k and 2ks resolution, but in 1080 down it can, what can u suggest?
Did you download the video through the app, or directly through the USB cable ? Can you also try it on a different phone, maybe ur friends phone.. because some devices do not support high res videos.. like my old laptop does not play 4K..
Hey! It works for me but when I try to open the gallery of my recordings in the app, it says "no data", so i cannot download my recordings to my phone. I also tried this in the RoadCam, but still doesnt work. Any idea? :)
Not sure of this. I am able to download data to the phone though. Sometimes a memory card problem could cause this. Try it with a different memory card. But you could also try to copy the data directly from the memory card to phone through an adapter.

anything this hard to set up can't be worth much ... can't even get the akaso 7LE to load up on phone when i go through the device process.... not impressed with this part of the akaso journey so far... all in all not a bad gadget for the price

I faced similar problems with wifi when I bought the Akaso cam, so i just uploaded this so that my solution may help others.
Yes the app is not so much helpful if you have a laptop to transfer photos. Another use of app could be to remotely control the camera for group photos when it is on a tripod... I sometimes try to use the akaso as my car dash cam, but there is a little lag in the app.

I was just trying to fix this on my dad's phone, another thing that will mess it up is if there is a VPN running. He had cyberghost running and it wouldn't connect. Turned it off and worked fine.
Hey, thanks for watching. It seems the low audio problem is solved. But I am not completely sure about the audio sync issue. I will try to test this soon, maybe over this weekend and inform you.
Hey I managed to test the audio sync issue over the weekend. With the 1080p 30 fps I tested for about 4 mins, there was no sync issue. With the 4K 30 fps, after a while I could notice a slight loss of synchronisation between video (lip movement) and audio after about 3 mins. In both tests I turned on stabilization and gyro. I think it is probably the stabilization with 4K processing load that causes slight video lag, or maybe Akaso looks at future frames to stabilize previous video frames. So end up causing some delay.. but not really sure of the reason.

I was having issues connecting to app. I had to turn off my VPN.

It’s annoying. Only use of the AKASO app seems to be to either get frustrated or download video/photo to phone. Disappointed with AKASO.
