- On the heels of a decade filming in Cherokee we've learned that the bigger the water the smaller the crowds. In this episode of Pautzke Outdoors we head back to the reservation in search of bigger rivers still loaded with trout and reveal our new favorite fishing spot.

Ive been watching your site for a while, I been in Cherokee since 2019, I watch other guys they clean out the holes, and been hideing trout in the cars/trucks... I saw a guy throw a rock at a Elk standing in the stream.. what a f'''''' jerk.. thank guys , I like fishing Cherokee Monday - Thursday before the weekend.. tanks again Dale. Maybe some day I would run into you and buy you guys lunch..
My wife and I get coffee from the shop right infront of that spot. Then go down an fish there. We use your bait an nightcrawlers. Love the Videos!!

We were there 3 weeks ago. Water was warm, and fishing wasn't as easy as usual. 3 of us were able to pull a handful of keepers out of that hole.
Funny story. The night before, I was upstream and slipped. My pockets were emptied out. The next afternoon, we hit this spot, and my power bait and salmon eggs were on that beach. 😂
Crazy, salmon eggs don't float!

nice trout, I always watch your site, I come to cherokee 3 days a year, the last time I get my permit at the weclome center, I always forget about that spot the at the weclome center about, but I always go to Island to fish fast water, I'll have to give it a try.. thank you..

@@TeamPautzkethank you. I’m researching fishing permits to fish in Cherokee. Did you guys have to have a NC state fishing license to fish this stream or only the tribal permit? Thanks for you help. I’m from northern IL. I found your channel years ago from your episodes with Big Boy in SE Wisconsin which is primarily where I fish for trout. You guys are the best.
