I do wish them well. We had been hearing grumbles from homeowners in SWFL for the last 6 months, we thought it was bc of the tile market delays and them having too much work to get completed. I hope for the sake of the homeowners, this gets resolved. As you said some of these homeowners here do not have the money to hire lawyer or to pay for that roof a 2nd time out of their own pocket. Godspeed.

I don’t disagree with you on that at all.
But currently that’s the worst thing to happen to all of the customers that they have $50mil in down payments from.
Going to prison doesn’t pay them back or get their roof done. Also the trial will last for years.
Liquidating their assets with take years (if there are any assets).
The fastest way to help the consumer is for them to figure it out quickly and build those jobs or return the money.
If the customer is the number 1 priority then getting their projects done helps them more in the current situation.

We stopped in the office twice while in FL and would get to talk to someone but still haven't seen any work as of yet. We are not sure what to do now. A side note regarding the BBB Rating and it's meaning
    About BBB Ratings
BBB ratings represent the BBB's opinion of how the business is likely to interact with its customers. The BBB rating is based on information BBB is able to obtain about the business, including complaints received from the public. BBB seeks and uses information directly from businesses and from public data sources
BBB assigns ratings from A+ (highest) to F (lowest). In some cases, BBB will not rate the business (indicated by an NR, or "No Rating") for reasons that include insufficient information about a business or ongoing review/update of the business’s file
BBB Business Profiles generally explain the most significant factors that raise or lower a business’s rating
BBB ratings are not a guarantee of a business’s reliability or performance. BBB recommends that consumers consider a business’s BBB rating in addition to all other available information about the business

I am the homeowner from Plantation, FL, and I wanted to share the challenges we are currently facing with our CMR construction project.
After waiting for 1.5 years, the construction workers have removed the roof, leaving us with a number of issues.
Firstly, we have been without a roof for over two months, which is a major concern for us.
Secondly, we are experiencing leaks inside the house, causing further damage.
Adding to our concerns, the City of Plantation recently notified us that our construction permit is no longer valid, possibly due to expiration. I am currently in the process of contacting them to clarify the situation.
The situation has become quite serious, and we are in need of assistance. We are worried that if the construction company continues in this manner, our house could be completely ruined.
Not sure if calling the police may be necessary at this stage, we are considering reaching out to local authorities or seeking legal advice to help resolve the situation and protect our home from further damage.
Plus now we have a lien against our property from the roof supplier company as CMR didn’t pay them for the materials. We don’t have any materials delivered to us.

    • @johnaqualey

This is difficult for me to see you going through this. There is nothing normal happening with your project. There is a fund (generated with money taken from every permit pulled) within Florida to help you recoup some of the funds given already. Please call the city to inquire on how to start the process. There are way better companies in South Florida to choose from, feel free to pick my brain

I also don’t understand how they are not getting profitable jobs when they are doing insurance work. They’re obviously one of these companies that get a claim, then does all the work even if the insurance is only paying $5000 for a 30sq. Hoping that they can

good luck finding enough residential roofing crews in florida to produce that kind of volume after hurricanes… subcontracting in florida to a legal middle man (labor broker) isnt legally possible in Florida like it is other places. 90% of the roofing workforce is hispanic and 90% of those is not 100% legal.. the legal system with illegal processing is also rigged for immigration attorneys to make money for letting illegals stay and work… its a messed up system that has no viable solution without allowing the illegals to be legal workers… then that pisses off the people who dont want to do manual labor anyway… 🤷‍♂️

I would like to say on the behalf of Roofing contractors that have integrity. This is not always true.
I’ve been in the industry 30 years and I can say the larger the company gets the more sketchy it becomes
That does not always constitute to hire the two brothers and a cousin, but always make sure to research your contractor before initiating

Also they are illegally calling reps contractors while telling them what to do and how to do it. Example, you have to wear a mask during covid, that is what you tell an EMPLOYEE.
