This Archon quest is actually good. Not amazing but it's good. I only skipped a moderate amount and found myself actually paying attention to a lot of it.
The Fontaine Archon Quests are the best ones yet in my opinion, I’d say they’re worth the time

the best thing about hydro mc is the first time u use their abilities, and be like "wow that's a cool E" and teleport back to the statue of the seven in Sumeru and switch back to Dendro mc again.
Some prefer Geo Traveler because of their personal multipliers, crit rate buff, battery, and NEO ARMSTRONG CYCLONE JET ARMSTRONG CANNON feat. Zhongli.
I prefer Electro Traveler.
I have no preference, I'll use HMC but leave it to 90% to Raiden lol
This is a bit of copium, but it’s also understandably believable.
So far, the unique combat in Fontaine is … the Arkhe, and HP siphoning. And with Fontaine JUST being released, and a whole plethora of characters to be added, hopefully some of these characters will have a passive that completely takes the Arkhe and/or HP siphoning mechanic to a whole other level.
The Traveler has this passive that increases his Skill’s damage based on the HP siphoned, so the developers have at the very least entertained the idea as well.
So who knows? Maybe down the line, we will get a character/artifact/weapon that boosts damage based on HP Siphoning … hopefully the numbers are bigger than 45% Siphoned, and 5000 damage though.
(It sound slike a just described an Anti-4PC Clam Set.)
Honestly, I totally feel you when you say "Main quests are time consuming". I haven't gotten past the 1st area (harbor) out of lazyness 😂
I think traveler was made with the world puzzles in mind more than actual fighting.
Now we need a hydro traveler only play through with only hydro characters

I hesitate to use this word but…..if you REALLY WANT to find a team hydro traveller is….decent in, just make him a hydro driver for a hyperbloom team as follows:
Hydro Traveller
Raiden/Kuki (Raiden works better)
Nahida/Yao Yao/Baizhu/Collei (Nahida works better)
Some shielder (you MUST have a shielder not a healer cuz he’s rooted to the spot and dies super easy)
Shield, then activate Nahida and Raiden’s skill. Swap into Hydro Traveller and use skill. It…….kinda works, but there’s NO reason to choose HT over someone like Ayato or other hydro drivers.

I want to use Hydro Traveler is a pretty good reason to chose him over Ayato and others.
Plus, not everyone pulled for Ayato, Childe or Kokomi but everyone has Traveler.

my record dmg was 30k with burst and 125k with tap skill :3
i do recommend using the tap skill but you don't need hp sands for it.

Yes. Travel needs all three talent books. I should know that, I leveled all of traveler's talents in all elements to 9 with the exception of geo and dendro being triple crowned. I was more disappointed on burst on hydro traveler above all the rest because unlike the anemo one, that burst would literally run away from the battlefield and you can't even stop it. Couldn't they just give him a Thoma like shield instead of that useless bubble? Or a burst like Kaeya's or Xiangling's but not as strong? Like a decent hydro support application? But no! They gave us that worthless bubble!

I've poured out substantial amount of resources to build HMC's, after awhile changing artifact sets, changing weapons, from DPS to support/driver... I came to realised that I'm wasting my time and regret all the resources spent on him.
Such a worst and impractical kit since Dori. Heck, even Dori is somewhat usefull.
Hydro traveler just goes to show that kit innovation is running dry😂

Try using the new elemental skill set and the craftable sword from estelle its made for hydro MC

I've been using Hydro Traveler and I like this version the best. His E does meh damage but with Raiden's E, you get a tazergun. His Q also does decent damage, if only it didn't run so fast away like a little wet bitch it would've been good.
Fontaine archon quest is the best one to date. Pacing is comparatively great. Very little fluff

First time I played hydro traveler. I used his burst and then I'm like where is this water ball going? And tried other characters to stop the moving bubble.
honestly..even anemo traveler is better than hydro mc..like i use dendro mc for bloom..and it does way more dmg even if you have good crit stats its still a 2-star watergun.

I recommend not building a traveler with hydro elements because the skill and burst are trash,97% player know that. If you want to use the traveler as a dps then I suggest changing to dendro. I built a triple crown ratio 60:200 dendro traveler and I often include it in my team. Hydro traveler? you're kidding? hoyoverse has run out of ideas.
The ult is as useful as your lv 90 Dehya, leave baron bunny alone

As someone that has build Hydro traveler i'm still hurt that you say he is bad. But you did say you put desent artifact's on him. I do think that Mona is not the best if you hold the traveler's E. If you go for the tap then Mona is good it think, i have not used it myself because i don't own a Mona yet.

Seems like Hoyo earned less money than expected after making a good free Dendro Traveller, so they are back to making bad Traveller again
Hoyo havent written any good stories aside from xiao quest, kazuha quest, and inazuma main story quest..
