      Hi. Yes that was the point, the customer was only concerned about the water spots and dried residue, they didn’t really notice the swirls at all. As you may know paint corrections are not always advantageous.

    Great great video phil. This came out great. Can i ask please? How do you build/sell a package, for this customer situation witch you dont know prior how the paint will respond?
    And as a former mobile detailer how do you see your transaction on a shop based , specially and polishing and paint correction jobs?
    I am asking because i see many very very good mobile detailers that performing
    Polishing/paint correction services in couple of hours, but a shop needs.... several days to complete!! How is that possible? Is the level of...."perfection" that a shop based business provide vs mobile detailing on correction jobs?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Год назад +2

      Hi. Great question. So when this customer came in for an estimate I did a test spot and just hand polished one of the worst areas. That way I knew what to expect. I figured jobs like this will always need a little extra polishing anyway so I charge a little more than what I would normally charge for our paint enhancements.
      As far as mobile vs shop, shops handle many vehicles at a time so they will tell customers that their vehicle may take a few days, but in reality it can be done much quicker, it’s just they take their time because they have many other vehicles in the shop also.
      For mobile or smaller guys like us we focus on one vehicle at a time and get it done much quicker. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are doing a better job or getting it perfect, because end results are based on each service and what the customer is expecting and most importantly what they are paying. I hope that helps. 😎👍🏼

      Hi. Yes I know, I answered by saying I was not sure. The customer doesnt know either. they only started noticing the waterspots a few weeks before we polished it. There was no way of knowing how long the waterspots had been on there. What exactly are you trying to figure out?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi. I don't remember. I usually just grab the first polish i find in the cabinet to test it. it doesn't really matter to much. It was just to see if the water spots could be removed with a light hand polish.

    Not a fan of professionals that say "well, we will try many different things" then charge the customer for all of the product and experiments they tried. Hope you did NOT charge this customer for the experiments you performed.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Год назад +1

      Hi. Not sure exactly what you mean by that. That's not how a detailing business actaully charges for their services.
      our trying different methods to achieve the results we get are all part of the service we provide. For jobs like this we look at he vehicle first, do a test spot, then give suggestions and prices to the custoemr. once we settle on what they want and the price, thats it. The process we go through is all part of the service. Sometimes we win sometimes we loose...what I mean by that is some jobs are easier than others even though we may have first thought it would be a tough one... other jobs may end up being more challenging and take more time than expected. either way the price we discussed stays the same. Thats How a true professional Detailer should do his job. It would be inappropriate to simply charge the customer more without first discussing what other issues or problems we may run into. We also don't charge for products used, all of that is built into the price fro the beginning. Sometimes we use less product, sometime more....either way doesn't matter, price does not go up, but neither does it go down. True detailers running a proper business will know that.
      Have you seen or experienced detailers doing what you suggested in your comment?
