- Often doubled die errors often present themselves in the form of letters and numbers that appear ‘doubled’ or far too thick. However, in the case of a select few Lincoln pennies, his ear is the spot to look for a variety. On some of them it looks like a clear second earlobe while on others the discrepancies in the ear are more difficult to anatomically describe. Well 1st off thank you soo much Tristan for teaching me about the 7other ear varieties I had no idea about. Now that I know what I'm looking at. I probably gave away at least five of the 2006 DDO 4 variety which ever is just a solid bump that looks like a die chip.. oh well like they say no use crying over spilled milk. Atleast in the future if I find another I know to keep it.. hope you keep making many more videos for years to come.. I appreciate all the help sir

I found a 1974 D penny with an extra earlobe it's pretty incredible I haven't seen another one I tried looking in there's none other like it, here I'll send you a picture if I can hold on
Love your show! Unlike several others u get right to the point@ ty for the information! New and LOVE THIS HOBBY! 80"s & 70's coins I have always enjoyed & saved for no other reason. Now that I'm into collecting I've been going through them. I'm a little surprised 70--89 coins don't seem to have much interest! I find so many cool errors nobody talks about. Especially quarters, dimes & nickles!

I have a 2007 D very nice looking Penny and on the bottom of his ear it looks like he has a ear ring in his ear and there is full steps on the back also.

I found a 1984 penny with a d mint mark.... and it has the double ear... and also it has a few parts on the edges like a dime... it's not smooth all the way around the coin

That's super cool! I don't actually know the specific value on that coin but definitely worth grading! Those sorts of errors aren't things I've studied a lot.
