Got the Vmax out for a run. Indicated 112 mph. Temp was 0 C. Jetted stock for -30 C. Big bump at 00:25 that I had to wait for before cracking it all the way open. About 2000ft run after bump.
My dads 98 vmax4 800 does 120mph at just over 3/4 throttle. I stopped because I was on dirt roads that people plow straight across and on a few you go air born haha. I'm in the process of fixing it up right now. I just bought a used skid in great shape and I cleaned and synced the carbs. Should be running A1 again seems how the carbs were gnarly inside and it still ran
Had a new 95 myself. The speedo's were off a bit on the Yamaha's, well all sleds of that Era. I highly doubt my stock 1991 Phazer II did 98mph....but the speedo said so! So I had bragging rights when I was 13 lol. Love all the Yamaha sleds up to '02.

I use to have a1995 Yamaha vmax 600 i bought new in 95, full throttle on ice 115mph , thats what the stock speedometer was showing ...
