Great video Steph! That lambs ear is amazing how fast it grows! I am planning to do the Fall Switcheroo this week with some of my plants. Happy gardening!
It’s surprising how many garden channels I’ve watched and you were the first one to talk about diving plants right from the nursery. I want to give a big thank you from all the gardeners out there who fall in love with a plant and didn’t know its potential to create more to fill a garden.
I never thought of dividing plants right from the nursery until you showed us how to do that - it's truly economical and fun to come home with more plants to plant!
Whenever I come across farming, it takes me down memory lane. Losing my farm to the hurricane Florence on September 2018 here in North Carolina dealth a huge jab. But with an influx of $65K monthly made my family happy one more time, your lovely garden reminds me of farm 😍😍😍
Such a satisfying garden project on a beautiful fall day. You get your bed cleaned up and have all those free plants to move some and share some. Looks like a hori hori is the perfect tool for getting this job done.
When I retired from public accounting, my staff gave me a hori hori knife knowing I was going to be spending a lot of time in the garden! It’s my go-to tool! I’m really enjoying your videos!
Wow that is a great tool!! I always use a shovel, that looks so much easier!! I'm dividing plants all the time & move them plus share with family & friends. I love watching your videos , you are so down to earth & caring! I learn alot from you, even ordering seeds for winter sowing! Please don't stop showing us all of this!!!! 😊
I have for a long long time to have a hori hori knife, it is so much fun to watch garden shows and I love 💕 this show as to getting more plants 🌱 thank you so much,!!!!!!!
Ooh! I am amazed at how large your lambs ear got! Great idea to share! Love the gift idea as well. I have heard these knives are fantastic but have never used one.
I am going to divide my lamb’s ear as well and gifting to my daughter. I love using hori-hori! Best tool for gardening. Nice that Vigo has rounded tip!!
What a coincidence! I just noticed yesterday that my Lambs ear was getting too big. I'm newer to gardening so this is a perfect video with perfect timing 😁!
I love sharing plants from my garden with friends and people on my local FB gardening group. I have even had some name the plant and share pictures . I would love to be gifted a vego hori hori. Thanks for the opportunity. I love your channel and learned a few new tips. Keep doing what your doing🌸🌺🌻
I love to share plants with my friends and my FB gardening group. Some name the plant after me and give me updates of how much joy it brings them. I would love to receive a gifted hori hori knife from you. I enjoy watching your channel and have learned many new tips. Thanks for the opportunity!🌺🌸🌻
I would absolutely love the Vego Garden Hori Hori ! I have many perennials I need to divide. I love that it has the hexagon cutouts for nuts and bolts. How clever! Thank you for the information and the offer!
Wow you were able to get so many lambs ear. After giving them to the garden club if you have extra I’ll be more than happy to take some. That tool works great. Also love all the new plants .Great video. ❤❤❤
This is my first year growing lambs ear. I found them to be enchanting & took little work besides watering when they were new. I hope mine thrive like yours.
Wow that is a very nice tool, the tools for gardening sure have come a long way. Thank you for sharing. I love free plants, especially if they are coming form my own plants. It just shows how well the plants grew.
Hi Steph! Thank you for showing me that digging up and dividing perennials is not as scary as it would seem! I have several in my garden that obviously need to be divided so I feel somewhat more prepared to take that on this fall. I am an enthusiastic amateur gardener in northern Canada, zone 3 and have learned so much from you despite the difference in our zones. Love your podcast!
Steph, I just love your videos, we have moved to Romania for 2 years and we live in an apartment, I had to leave my big garden and yard behind. When I watch you I feel so at home! Thanks so much for being you and sharing your knowledge and friendship. 💖
Steph - Dividing perennials is my kind of Garden Math! We are currently moving between cities, and I have recently started to split my heirloom perennials that are mostly from my parents’ garden. A Hori Hori knife would be very helpful as every weekend I’m taking a few more split perennials to our new home. Thanks for the many tips on what to do before splitting and taking a purchased perennial and splitting it.
Hi Steph. Boy they thought of everything! I would never have thought of all the bells and whistles included in that knife! I’m impressed ☺️ I love your choices of conifers 💙 I’m evergreen shopping myself, I did pick up a blue globe spruce. Always making myself more work 😁 but isn’t that our fun!
Earlier this season I took your advice about dividing right out of the nursery pot. Brilliant!! I bought one allium and two echinacea and was able to divide them and fill an area I was redoing in my garden. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your beautiful gardens!
