I would so love to have the metro atlantis combo, but they are so expensive for a synth with sequencer when you have to buy the case as well. But they look so much fun. Great video
I would recommend any of the SH101 clones over Eurorack if someone wants to get started with a synth as it’s far cheaper. However, Eurorack becomes addictive once you have a case and a base set of modules!
@@modularinspiration it’s more about the sequencer I guess. You don’t get the ryk style sequencer outside of eurorack I had a 3u filled once but sold it. It was addictive but it quickly escalates money wise
@@Unifono2012 agreed it’s really expensive and hard to get that first small system built that you feel happy with and can create decent music with. I started with a Mother32, DFAM, and then a 62HP mono synth and loved it so it started growing. I’m with you in the RYK style sequencer tho as it just makes interesting music all by itself lol
That would be a great update. I actually messed up the recording and only recorded the right out so the stereo field was none existent on the recording, doh! So I added a tiny ping pong on the channel to just help it a bit. Note to self to double check all channels are recording in Ableton next time!
@@modularinspiration The Strymon does look quite good as a stereo reverb, has delay too. I tried the Desmodus Versio, but flashed the firmware because the verb is just way too mad and specific.
I’ve flashed Desmodus too into Imitor Versio. What are you using yours as? I’ve not looked to much at the Strymon modules as they look a little big for my setup sadly.
@@modularinspiration Melotus. I chuck it through a stereo filter after. Moving the tone on the versio and the filter frequency gives some really stretchy textures.
I’ve only just got one and wished I’d had one ages ago. I still feel I’ve learnt more and faster full modular, and now ready to go back to semi modular.
@@modularinspiration it’s all about the individual I guess. I’m an old fart from the 80’s so I was bought up on subtractive Roland’s etc, so the Atlantis is just ready to go. I think it’s a perfect starter module, this and the Plaits would be a killer combo, then build up from there, next would be the under rated Clep Diaz :)
@@modularinspiration I’ve thought about that too, they’re certainly cheap enough. There is a second hand ajh Vclfo on its way to me, so I’m looking for to seeing what that can do :)
Late at night notification so I have watched this this morning and quite shocked you used Erb Verb over Mimiphone, I have both but I veer towards a live case so EV and Atlantis to big hp for my choice, also I think Atlantis is Fantastic but sound wise in todays choice of Modules a very outdated sound, I’m more into EDM Noise Engineering Techno digital Morphosis which is why I loved your Pallette case exploits so much Sonic in small hp, but I know not to everyone’s tastes just personal preferences Nice experiment Mark but not my cup of tea to many big modules 👍🆒🎶🆒🆒
Have you even thought about doubling the power connectors and filling a pallets case with 2hp modules? Lol. I started with a Milky Way which packs a lot of effecting into small HP but I didn’t like it so maybe an FX Aid would better for the small case? I love doing the small case videos but it’s hard to get drums into them. Maybe I’ll set it back up as a BIA driven setup if there’s enough demand for it
I’ve had Erbe Verb for longer than Mimeophon and not used it much since. However, if you have space for one it a big case then it works really well. Just not as much bang for your buck and space.

I always suggest an sh 01a to anyone crash-coursing. Classic layout ✌️
Yeah they look great little units
nice!
I wish Make Noise would make a stereo in Erbeverb. Hopefully now the XPO is out they will.

Lol yes, it is a bit mad and I’ve flashed mine into Imitor Versio. What are you using yours as?

I love mine, they are so versatile. I just wish Moog would make a similar model.
