@@mylarmelodies got both sitting in my rack, thanks to your vids. Do you have a sweetwater or perfect circuit affiliate link? Next up is a matriarch and might as well help a brother out!
Man, that segment from 16:30 ish to 17:50 ish is just magical. I noticed a seller in the Netherlands who is selling both the Atlantis and Metropolis in a skiff, with a TipTop power module as a kind of full unit. Damn good idea. Come back the Shoom!
I love your music. When you put a little complexity into your melodies (shifting roots or whatever on the Metropolis) I could listen to those passages for ages.
This is a wonderful demo, and perhaps the only demo that I've come back to many times because it's such a pleasure to watch. Great delivery, detail, passion and, additionally, I love the cardboard rack. Fantastic.
This is, by far, the best synth review I've seen on RUclips yet. You've got a new loyal viewer, and you very well might have sold me on Eurorack. If I get addicted to new hardware, I'm blaming you!
You made me get this and a beatstep pro right on pay day. Thanks for completely decimating my bank account and continuing my downward spiral into eurocrack with your hypnotisingly addictive demos. I hope you're happy! ;)
i love that squarepusher vid, so good to see it in this review. when he plays that bassline in isolation dude.. just insane haha i had to rewatch it so many times lol
I sometimes feel like selling my Atlantis to get a new synth voice but with separate modules, now that I know more about modular than back when I started... But then I rewatch this video and I'm in love again like the first day I saw it. Sorry for doubting you Atlantis...
I'm really astonished how you succeed in making things sounding so well in all your demos. Each time I want to buy one, no matter what "one" is... Hats off! You're a pleasure-seeker, a sound gourmet for sure. :-)
Damn dude your eurorack videos are second to none man!! Not even Sonic State can't hold a candle to you and I love those guys. You have good taste in modules and your presentation is slick but not commercial.
After hearing your recent podcast with Danjel van Tijn I knew I was going to be super interested in this module and the metropolis, but holy shit dude, this is way more awesome than I could have dreamed of.
I don't know how you sold me on a module I already own... but you did it. I learned something new though- I don't know why I never thought to patch the Mod as another oscillator. Great jams, man! The Metro + Atlantis combo is a winner, without a doubt.
Thanks!! It occurs to me you might be able to hack the env into a _tunable_ osc by chucking a square wave into the trig input (with it set to super short rate) too
Well, that's the best demo of an Intellijel module yet, I'd say, and perhaps the best demo I've ever heard/seen, period. If we can't sell a few more of these little bastards because of this vid, then something is definitely wrong with the world.
I'm strongly aligned with you sir. So much of the versatility of the Atlantis and modular comes through in this humble video. I only wish I had the cash to scrape together. #GOALS #SYNTHS #INTELLIJEL
Man I´m 3000 euros deep because I watched his Metropolis video years ago when I had already decided I will never get into eurorack because it is too expensive and complicated #Eurocrack
Yes Mate. superb vid. love the sound (as you did) at 13:51 :) top notch. think you just sold me on on a set, atlantis & metropolis. what a combo. "Strongly Ace" :) can't wait to hear it with a Erthenvar Patch Chord. Thanks.
thanks so much for this. i've been thinking about getting a eurorack system for a while now ever since i saw the Atlantis. But shit man, this demo has me 100% sold on buying atlantis and metropolis ! the reverbed ambient parts after 15mins are just beautiful.
Maybe the 20 something time i watch this, and as you say this is ACE, matter of fact it's Super ACE! Already Legend teacher in the Eurorack game Mylar, i have to say👌 Max grateful for your videos! Looking forward to see more ✌
Love your videos. Just getting into modular synths and the metropolis is going to be my first major buy.......looks like the atlantis may be next......
Your video of the metropolis is what made me get a metropolis!!! Brilliant video of the Atlantis... i m saving up for it now! It would be great if you could do the shapeshifter in the future!
@@JX-jk9qn Haha actually no, not an Alantis not even a eurorack, talked myself out of it, I sold my entire collection of vinyl & had the money & almost spent it on eurorack but talked myself out of it again, it will eventually happen though but a smaller system for a specific task.
That and the Metropolis are reason enough to get into Eurorack...that whole demo was amazing. Thank you so much. I would have dismissed this "all in one" module had I not seen this. Now it's on my list of "must haves". OH bugger it costs £650...
Great demo some amazing moments in it like the vowels at 13:50 and beautiful sounds at 16:24. You perfectly demonstrated its immediacy and the only thing i have that compares is an Arp 2600V by Arturia and my Evolution u 33 controller, with this i can go off in any direction on the fly. Take it easy.
That first patch is so awesome, SAWII vibes all over it. Going to start on modular soon, want to get the Atlantis and sequence it with the keystep pro, or with Metropolis. Damn, can't decide yet. Thanks for all the knowledge you are sharing Mylar :)
Superb and entertaining video, as always. As much as I love my SH-09, the Atlantis seems to capture all the spirit of the SH series (and then some) with none of the hassles of maintaining a 30-year-old piece of equipment. I might have to upgrade in the near future... Also, I really hope that the upcoming Roland 500 modules don't cut into Intelligel's sales of the Atlantis too much, because they've done an outstanding job on the design of this module.
Aaron Swain Yeah I think the System 500 will be a bit of a different kettle of fish (lots of individual modules rather than one all-in-one job, I'd expect it to be pricier overall) - and you'd lose the normalling which is a big part of Atlantis' appeal for me. Exciting times though, so much choice.
If I didn't already own an Atlantis, this video would probably make me want one. Your Metropolis demo video makes me want to get one of those, though first I'd like to get a reverb module.
Love it. Just want to point out the safety torx screws in the cardboard case here. Serious security...can't trust those dance kids to not steal your modules in the middle of your set. Thanks Mylar. Looks like an Atlantis is unexpectedly coming my way. :)
As usual - I bought an Atlantis - because of your f$ck*&g demos - but it is absolutely awesome and I am eternally grateful for your guidance. 13:49 - YOU MUST SUPPLY "PATCH" NOTES
Congrats on giving the best demo for any piece of audio equipment I've ever seen.
I know this video is super old, but I’ve watched it like 10 times recently and it sold me on the Atlantis! Love all your work, sir!

I cant get over the opening sound/chords. brilliant!

Amazing
The Atlantis is definitely one of my favorite modules, and this demonstration is really, really good.
9 years on and this is still the best demo of the Atlantis, still worth getting even with the new version available.
The synth is amazing but it’s your skills that make this. I want this video on vinyl!

First note instantly reminded me of ''Stone in focus'' by Aphex Twin.
Great job showcasing this! It really started to shine with the drums along side. Seems like a very inspiring module.
