Great job. I try to eliminate the need for that 90° pos disposal fitting though. I cut the other strainer tailpiece higher to get a straight shot to the disposal so that 90° isn't needed which makes for a better install. Sometimes there isn't room and it's all good! Great vid!💪💪
I would never use the knockout drain on the disposal again. I found food from the disposal was in my dishwasher. I’d use a tail piece with a hose barb connection on the second sink drain instead.

No, but seriously, can you provide a brief explanation of that Knipex tool and why you find it necessary pre-gluing? Gracias!
@oneshotpete 6.5 because that schedule 40 trap assembly is a pain in the ass to work with. Tolerances are tight when building it. Taking it apart when there is an issue is a problem. Like the video shows, most plumbers just cut that garbage out and install a proper, easy to use, dummy friendly tubular waste kit. There's nothing beneficial about a sch 40 trap. Whatever advantages you can cite isn't enough to warrant the headache of using it.
@@NoflectioN Don’t get me wrong , I install tubular traps on the daily, but to say there is no advantage in a solvent trap as opposed to a slip joint tubular , only highlights your ignorance ( respectfully )

The impellers on the Costco disposal are tiny, despite the size of the motor. I went through 3 of them - broken impellers, in 12 months. Replaced it with Waste King Universal (or ISE, your choice) reversing anti-jam disposal with large impellers. Going on 15 years. Make sure the inside is all stainless steel. Yes, they cost, but you won't be replacing them every 3-5 years. I've got another ISE top of the line unit, bought in 1995 for $149 then, still going strong. My folks have a GE top of the line unit, which I've replaced the grind/shred ring and impeller disc at 22 years, now going on 40 years of service. They get used every single day. Keep them clean inside and use lots of cold water.
