- if you hear that small buzz sound in the background its the pc because when I'm recing in 1080p 60fps starts to get hot a bit. Look at the bottom left corner at the end of the video!

around 3 years ago i was blessed with the privilege of being able to experience 165hz. the jump from 60 to 165 is insane for me, it changed the whole way i play games.
i went from 60 to 240 and holy cow. it is a big difference
Me aswell i have played on 60hz my entire life ps4 ps5 and pc and just today i got 170hz and its insane just got my passion back for gaming

Depending on your monitor's refresh rate, set it as one above in fortnite, like, 144hz -> 160 fps in fn for the best performance, except for the last option (360)
Also you have to make sure you use a DisplayPort cable for 165Hz, hdmi for 144Hz.... I went from 60fps to 165Hz and wow...makes the games more enjoyable so smooth...

Played on 144 abt 2 years. and first time on my friends 240 was abselutley crazy. almost better than going from 60 to 144.
Not for me the jump between 60 to 144 was like heroin 240 wasn’t much different

I just switched from 60hz to 180hz few days ago and yeah the difference is actually insane
60-120hz is crazy, 120hz-240/360hz just makes it feel much smoother
I couldn't actually tell the difference when I moved from 60Hz to 165Hz.

make sure that your monitor settings are set to 165. it doesnt come set to 165 out of the box you need to manually change it by right clicking your desktop and going to display settings or nvidia control panel if you have it. because 60 to 165 should definitely be noticeable. i recently went to 165 and i noticed a major differnence.
turned it on in your settings its not plug in and 165hz
make sure the monitor is actually on 165. because the difference is massive

I was the same when I switched to 240hz, I tried playing on my old laptop for a bit recently to see the difference (I bought my pc around 2 years ago) and 60hz felt like 30fps… insane illusion

@@Dom..69-_- I don’t really understand but if your asking how it feels it’s extremely smooth, if you cap your frame rate at 240fps it’s like butter in comparison to 60hz which is quite choppy
hz is the amount of fps your monitor lets you see, so 60hz would let you see 60 fps and 240hz would let you see 240 fps even if you can run 360 fps but only have 240hz, you will only see 240 fps if that makes sense, hz dosent increase your fps, it increases how much fps your eyes can see @@Dom..69-_-

60 used to feel so smooth but after playing 144hz for like 10 seconds it instantly felt like 30 fps and it was weird bc u would see those videos of like lowering my fps every game and they complain abt 60 and u wonder how they think 60 is bad but then u realize how it acc feels

dawg when I used to play roblox skywars (the ptw one), I played on 60 fps, but then when I got my first gaming laptop, I turned it up to 144 hz, holy hell it was so smooth, it was really nice bro, I loved it.
i went from 144hz to 360hz and that difference is not as huge as this, but it is still way smoother with 360. it feels like every frame shows and its buttery smooth

@@wantedfn1 no i started on a 60hz small and old tv but i almost immediately upgraded just because the delay was so bad and i had the money, and now i got one of the best setups money can get with my own hard work
to be honest, 144 fps did make the game feel alot smoother but its not really like it makes you a better player. i didnt really improve in skill it just makes the game more fun because its smoother and higher quality

hz and fps aren't the same thing, even if your monitor is 60hz set the fps higher it will still be less choppy
Yeah hz is Frame reset and delay.
Fps is just frames per sec

Bro, the first time I touched a moniter with a higher refresh rate then 60hz, I was literally wowed, It was actually 165hz, but I got so impressed that I bought a 144hz moniter.
I'm looking at getting a 100hz monitor because I don't want to spend a lot but would I still have to be on 60fps because there isn't an option for 100fps

the reason ur game can run higher than 144 but ur monitor is 144 is because with fortnite and all fps games its gpu based so you can play at a smoother fps

little tip you can make your games and stuff look better by going to your system settings and going to the graphics and change your hertz from 60 to whatever your monitor can hold
That is literally the only way to get 144 fps lol, it’s not just “making it look better.” If your monitor is set to 60hz and the game is set to 144 you’re still only getting 60 fps.

whats wild is ive had a 144 monitor for the last five years and i never realized til 2 days ago that my refresh rate on my monitor was set to 60 even though i was running fortnite on 144 it was only refreshing my monitor to 60 and i set it to 140 and it felt so weird

U sure your nvidia resolution settings have the correct refresh rate? Maybe you have vsync on or smth?
Make sure you change your monitor refresh rate in your computer settings. The refresh rate is set to 60 out of the box. if u dont know how look it up its super easy
