    Thanks very much! You gave a clear explanation of cropping and zooming as well. This was much more helpful than trying to post a question on the Adobe forum and getting some long-winded explanation that is hard to follow.

      Yes you're right watching a video is alot easier to follow than a forum post. Glad it was helpful.

    thank you, I wish it was more intuitive. premiere makes everything, even the simple tasks so convoluted and confusing. Thanks for making this video.

    Thank you for the great and very informative video! I may use this method to scale my RUclips Short videos. Seems like Adobe premiere elements does not remove the black bars from shorts even if you use mobile 1080x1080 or other configurations. If you haven't already done so, you should make a RUclips video on how to properly export a video for RUclips Shorts with no black bars. RUclips shorts are becoming more and more popular. Thanks again!

    Hi if i want to set my aspect ratio in premiere elements into 2.35:1 how can i do it?? Thanks

    • @TheIshExperience
      @TheIshExperience  3 года назад

      Yeah unfortunately that is not one of the settings that comes in Adobe Premiere Elements.
      What I recommend is that you watch this video I created: ruclips.net/video/tb6RJfhOS2o/видео.html on How to CREATE and EXPORT Vertical (9:16) Videos in Adobe Premiere Elements and follow the steps in that video. Instead of replacing the dimensions with 1080 x 1920 though as I show in the video replace it with the dimension for 2.35.1 which should be 1920 x 817 or use whatever values works best for you. That should get you the aspect ratio you're looking for.
      I hope that helps.

    hey bro! would you happen to know if there's a way to export a video in vertical 9x16 format using premiere elements? thanks in advance 🙂

    • @TheIshExperience
      @TheIshExperience  3 года назад +2

      That is one of the short comings of Premiere Elements IMO it doesn't support vertical video at least as far as I know. When I want to work with Vertical Video I use Canva. It's free to use, but not as advance as Premiere Elements. Canva let's you arrange different clips and trim. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    Is it possible to pan and/or zoom in a pip screen? So say I have two images side by side, one on the left and right, and I want one image to zoom in but stay on the left half of the screen, and I want the image on the left to zoom out while maintaining it’s pip size of half the viewing screen. So far I only see how to zoom in on the lower layered picture since the image on top layer will hide what you don’t want to cross the middle line. But I don’t see a way to zoom in or out for a partial (pip), or like half screen picture. Because if I use scale on the top layered picture, it’s whole size changes even though I want the second image to share the viewing screen half and half.

      I basically want to show two still images side by side, but I want both pictures to have some kind of motion to them without changing their viewing dimensions on the screen.

      The only thing I can think of right now is that you may have to use keyframes to control the size. For example as the size of the image increases as you zoom in time the keyframes to crop back the image as you zoom in. You should only have to do this to one of the images since they overlap. If I think of another way I'll let you know.

    I appreciate the tips, but it is kind of irritating because I am expecting a way to crop the whole video, and these methods only "crop" certain content while leavin the actual video unchanged. I am userd with Photoshop, that one has a direct image cropping and it does what you expect, crops the whole document.

    • @TheIshExperience

      Hey, I get what you mean. Video editing can be a bit tricky compared to image editing. If you're looking to change the actual size of the video from, for example, 1080 to 4K, you'll have to change the project settings before you start a new project and scale up, but some quality will be lost. The frame size gets locked once you start, or you'll have to export the video as a different size. If you're trying to convert a horizontal video to a vertical one, I have another video on my channel explaining it. I hope that helps.
