I want to thank you for leading me to the HSL dialog. I'm primarily a still photographer, and I use these adjustments in Lightroom to fine-tune specific colors from RAW files, but I hadn't yet found them in Premier Elements.
I remember hearing from Scott Kelby that when considering HSL adjustments (in Lightroom) that "Hugh is a very bad man!" Meaning that hue adjustments are usually really unpredictable and unhelpful. It's a very good tip! Saturation and luminance are the key adjustments to work with within that dialog. The luminance slider is often counter intuitive, in that less (going toward the negative) usually results in the best outcome.
Apologies to all of the good Hughs out there... it's just a handy mnemonic.
Using your tip for finding the (far too) buried HSL adjustments, I was able to accomplish in a few seconds what I'd wrestled with for a couple of hours. Thanks!

Thank you Merideth. I still use elements 15 which has nearly everything 2018 has. Your coaching has drawn me further into both both the image and video editing world.

@ 7:37 that HSL tuner to make adjustments on the individual color was a good tip. I had not seen that before.

Hi, Meredith. I am trying to figure out how to "double expose" 2 images on the timeline...in other words, locking a dissolve in place. Is this doable on PE?
    Thanks. RC

This might be something that you've covered in other videos (but I can't really binge-watch right now)... is there a way to copy the adjustments that you've made for a single clip and apply them to a whole sequence shot under similar lighting conditions?
Lightroom has the copy and paste feature that can be used for a single frame or a whole series of stills, but I'm not finding anything similar in Premier Elements. If it's not available, it should be a top priority for future editions (I'm using 2019, but this video still helped me a lot!).

That’s a great question, but I’m not sure of the answer. You can do it in Premiere Pro but I never tried it in Elements.

You can apply effects to adjustment layers, which you layer above as many clips as you want

Hello Meredith! I have a quick question(s). I currently use iMovie for my video editing and am looking to up my game and be able to do more. Is Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 your recommended video editing software? Also, am I able to burn movies straight to a disc with this software to give family/friends that aren't super computer saavy and able to view videos on RUclips or via thumb drive? Thank you in advance for your insight!

If you're familiar with iMovie, you might want to look into Final Cut!

I really hope you answer questions... What is the Studen + teacher edition of premiere elements? BTW I tried clicking on the link in your web page to purchase the PE but it did not work.

Antonio Claudio Michael have YOU ever used any of them? The big difference between premiere elements and premiere pro is the look and work flow. For a beginner elements does everything you need, it looks pretty and is easy on the eyes to look at. While the Pro version looks more intimidating, more features than you know what to do with IF you know how to do it.

@Meredith Marsh: Request: Could you please make a video on how to remove echo and reverb from your audio using Adobe Premiere Elements? Every video I've found is using Premiere Pro, which doesn't help because it looks completely different. Thank you!

It would be killer if Premiere Elements could accept LUTs.
