I've watched many tutorial videos on Elements (and other subjects) in other channels that I found extremely hard to follow (no arrows or yellow highlight on their cursor). I spent 80% of my time hunting for their gnat size (and movement) cursor than actually learning anything. I'd be overwhelmed and frustrated 5 minutes into their 3 hour video, give up, and searched for another video. Your videos has ended my search and I've subscribed to your channel. You keep your video short and to the point, and I can easily follow along with your arrows and explanations. Thank you for setting this up for people like me who need the baby steps. At the end of all your videos I now say, "I can do that!" The miracle is, I'm actually doing it. Thank you again, Travis.
This was very, very helpful! Thank you. Making a split in the video to designate parts for the zooming, panning, rotation, etc. was where this newbie was stuck. I needed this and you delivered nicely. Thank you!!!
You will find that the more you post the more you learn I don't think anybody's channel is as good at the beginning as it is after a few years you learn as you go. Good luck with your first post.
Hi, Thx for the guidance. I had a portrait video that needed to be rotated 90 degrees. Once I rotated it and exported the video. I notice I had 2 bands of Black above and below my rotated video. Wonder how can I adjust the video resolution to match up with my rotated video ?
@@TravisMThompson Thx, I'm using Premier Elements 2022. You just gave me an idea how to fix my issue and it works. I was using Premier Pro at the office. Since I retired now and found it too expensive to get a copy of Premier Pro to use and settle with Premier Elements and learning how to get the same work done as best I can. BTW, I really enjoy your tutorial clips, Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Hi Travis, I want to crop out distracting objects from the frame, but instead of zooming the clip to fill the canvas (if that's the right term), I want to shrink the canvas to fit the crop, changing both the resolution and aspect ratio as necessary. How do I do that?
I just got Adobe PE 2022 and shared my video to youtube, The video is very small in the center of the screen on RUclips after its been rendered. Any ideas how to fix this so my video shows up on TV'S regular sized?
How do I get the yellow cursor? Maybe my software is too old. I have Premiere Elements 14. I get to the point where you say "click on live view" and you get the corner handles. Nothing happens. I'm only trying to rotate my video 90 degrees. I filmed it in portrait but its viewing in landscape. Thanks for any help.
I found a way to rotate the video in PE14 using "Applied Effects" "Motion", but it changes the dimensions of the video, cutting off the top and bottom, and making closer to square than a rectangle. I'm at a loss.

Thanks for this video! I just upgraded to PE 2022 from 2015 (yeah, a little overdue) and really appreciate how-to videos! - Karen : )
Awesomeness happy to help 🙂
Amazing video

Great video, but how do you apply the same rotate/crop setting acrossmultipole clips or even across the whole timeline?
Highlight the clips in the timeline then that should do it
Would this work to correct landscape oriented drone footage to align with vertical phone video?
Yes.

The newer versions of Adobe premiere elements will allow you to start a project in portrait mode. What version are you using?

I am not sure how to do that other than when you initially start your project.

I have a tutorial for exporting in my channel that may help.

I believe what you're watching with the yellow is my capture software
You need to change the project parameters
How do I create a zoom on a single picture, which is not a hard zoom, but a progessing one, like you see the zoom in, while video progresses?
Using the animation tool similar to the video I made with the moving black bars.
But how to I resize / crop the actual video ? The full document. Every tutorial shows just how to crop a certain clip inside the video.
You can change your export settings and then everything will export the same size
