The UGREEN HD135 supports HDMI 2.1 with 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, and 48Gbps bandwidth, making it ideal for next-gen gaming and high-end displays. The UGREEN HD171 supports HDMI 2.0 with 4K@60Hz and 18Gbps, suitable for standard 4K setups. If you need advanced features and future-proofing, go for the HD135. For basic 4K@60Hz, the HD171 works fine. Don't forget to subscribe and check out my other videos for more insights!
@unboxthinkerer thank you for the reply. The ugreen hd171 does support hdmi 2.1 and can also support upto 4k@240hz instead of 4k@120hz . My monitor is 144hz 4k so the extra hz does make sense for me. My only confusion is if the hd135 has better internals like copper wiring whereas the hd171 doesn't mention it. It does have higher quality aluminum casing. Im wondering if that small difference in wiring is a big difference. If not I will get hd171 coz I want higher refresh rate than 120hz
Thanks for the clarification. If the HD171 supports 4K@240Hz, it’s great for your 144Hz monitor. The HD135’s copper wiring might offer slightly better stability for longer cables, but for short setups, it’s negligible. Go for the HD171 if refresh rate matters most.
@unboxthinkerer thanks for your reply and help. I'm gonna go with the hd171 then and since the cable isn't too long hopefully it won't cause any issues
I got one today and have also ordered the hdmi switcher… i wanted to know that using hdmi switcher is safe for our pc and gpu can it damage them as it takes power from the machine Recently the rgb of gpu lights went off o doubt this was due to using hdmi switchers
Thanks for your question! The UGREEN HD135 HDMI 2.1 cable is a solid choice, and using an HDMI switcher is generally safe for your PC and GPU as long as you’re using quality equipment. HDMI switchers are designed to be low-power devices and shouldn't cause any harm to your system. However, if the switcher or other connected devices are faulty, it could potentially cause issues. Regarding your GPU's RGB lights going off, it’s unlikely that the HDMI switcher directly caused this. It might be a coincidence, or there could be another factor at play. If the problem persists, it might be worth checking your GPU connections or settings. If you found this helpful, please consider subscribing to my channel for more tips (comments) and tech unboxing!
Great question! While HDMI 2.1 supports HDCP 2.3, it's not always a requirement. Some devices might use older versions. I'll be sure to clarify this in future videos. Do you have any other questions about HDMI cables or tech in general? Feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to answer. Don't forget to subscribe for more tech unboxing!
Hi Revolver1981, Thanks for catching that! You're absolutely right, the UGREEN HD135 being an HDMI 2.1 cable means it supports HDCP 2.3. My apologies for the mistake in the video description. This is a great point to clarify for viewers. As you mentioned, some devices might utilize older HDCP versions even with an HDMI 2.1 cable. I'll definitely be more precise about compatibility in future videos. Do you have any other questions about HDMI or tech in general? I'm always happy to learn and share!
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback. While the Ugreen HD135 might feel a bit stiff, it's actually designed to be durable and long-lasting. It's obviously hdcp 2.3 if it's a 2.1 HDMI cable.

@@unboxthinkerer I only mentioned that it's HDCP 2.3 because you said HDCP 2.2 on the video information.

That cable looks very stiff, maybe a bit too stiff.
