- In this video I'll be covering Book Of Saturday by King Crimson. Book Of Saturday is a song from the album Larks' Tongues In Aspic, which was released on the 23rd of March 1973.
Well done! What I love about this tune, and many other Crimson songs, for that matter, is the way Wetton and Fripp approach repetitions of the same progression like a set of variations, never playing it the same way twice - and that they could do this on the fly in live performances as well.
Thanks mate. It's indeed a beautiful piece where every part is unique. Incredibly fun to learn.
This deserves more views. Is an awesome cover!
Thanks ✌️
Such a great job! One of my favorite songs.. You nailed it.. To think John Wetton (RIP) played that line and sang at the same time.
Wooooow what a beautiful cover 😱👏🏻
Thank you 🙏
beautiful!
Beautiful cover; one of my personal favorite KC songs. Did you copy this by ear? Or did you find the tabs online?
Thanks man! I initially tried to copy it by ear, but since every part of the song is unique, that would've taken way too much time. I found the tabs online and started practicing bit by bit. It takes a while to learn and fully memorize, but it's worth every minute.
I've always loved this song although I have never really studied the bass line like you obviously have. Wetton was a monster for sure. You did a great job on this video.
Thank you, I appreciate it! It's a beautiful song indeed. It took quite a while to fully study, but I have to say it was pretty fun studying it and being able to play along to it is awesome!
Congratulations. Very good job. I'd hope I could play the guitar part as well as you play the bass part. This song is my forever favorite song of KC.
Thanks alot! I appreciate the comment! I once tried learning the guitar part, but I have to say that it is indeed very difficult.
👌🤟
😍😍
great cover, dont know why the views are so low lol
Thank you, I really appreciate it! ✌️
