    Keep up the great work! I picked up a Port wallet last summer, influenced a lot by your recommendation, and your assessment is spot on! Still smells great, I have about the same number of cards and slips of cash, and it stretched just enough so that it works great. I keep cash in the same slot you do, debit card in the slot behind, and on the "straight" outside slot, my ID and Costco card. :-) Like you say, this keeps the credit cards from premature wear and everything is still in its perfect place and easily accessible. It will probably be the last wallet I will ever need! Stay safe and thanks, again!

    Been carrying this for a few months and I have to say it has become my favorite wallet. It took a while to grow on me because I come from the school of Costanza wallets, and I use cash a lot. So when I switched to this design, I was just using the wallet wrong, trying to stuff a bunch of cash in the front pocket. I now carry this wallet in my front pocket (my low back thanks me) with my cards and some emergency cash, and carry my walking around money separately. It’s a perfect system for me, and I really enjoy the quality of this wallet!

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад

      Glad to hear you’ve made the adjustment, but if you do use cash, a cash wrap wallet is also very useful and just as minimal. The Das Offene Meer Houbei is a good example.

    • @walletopia

    so does putting a card in the front pocket will make it unusable in a long run? i don't use cash at all and been like that for maybe 3 years now so I like to put a card in there. I have 3 cards I use almost daily and I find it's easier to separate 3 cards out. 2 front and 1 back in each pocket so I don't have to put much stress on the leather which might get it loosen over time. I'm new to the leather wallet and never use a wallet this much expensive. Any thought?

    how can you pull out the card on the middle slot?

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад

      The middle slot is where you'll keep cards you pull our infrequently. If the leather is stretched you can get in there with your fingers. If not, then often you need to pull cards from the exterior slots to get to them.

  • @Paa375
    @Paa375 3 года назад

    The major with leather it’s stretches. If you went with much less cards I don’t think the wallet would be useable. I don’t know since I don’t wave this wallet. But usually if you have 4 cards in one pocket and then you decide to make your life with less clutter and get rid of two cards that pocket with not hold those cards. It’s really the only downside of leather for me. But leather looks so much better then metal wallets in my opinion

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  3 года назад

      Yes, it will stretch and will have a hard time retracting by nature. Some leather like calf-skin does have a tendency to snap back a bit. Others will say to put it in water, let it dry and it was contract, but you risk ruining the leather.

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  Год назад

      I have the LEAN and will do a review and comparison. Short of asking both groups, the best I could come up with is the Wayback Machine for their websites and any corresponding Kickstarter campaigns that were related. Interestingly enough, Raphael were taking pre-orders for their wallet on April 14th, 2014, but had their Kickstarter campaign begin in January 2014 with deliveries starting in February 2014. Craft and Lore were already selling the Port wallet on their website in May of 2014, but didn't do a Kickstarter until July 2015. So that would indicate that Raphael Quality Goods were in fact shipping this design prior to Craft and Lore. That said, is there anyone before Raphael??
