We had a problem renter. Their stove broke, but they refused to make appointments for when the repairman showed up. You always see in movies that the manager can just go inside to fix stuff, but that was not our case. They ended up suing us, for them not having a working stove. The second renter concealed their animal, which damaged the wall. The third renter would email us all hours with requests. This was while we were employing a rental manager, who did nothing. We ditched the manager for our last renter, who was family. But no maintenance was done on the property, so termites ravaged the foundation, and he kind of trashed it. While the place was empty, a pipe burst, and the flooding made a hole in the ceiling.
We hated renting, and would never do it again. We laugh at the people who say its passive wealth.
