Thank you very much for another great and enlightening video. We have been tasked to investigate which I try to thoroughly even though I accept all Buddha teachings as truth as I am on the very beginning of new path, I would like to ask you as a teacher what is your name ? I like the fact we both come from Christianity in the West. So there is much to unlearn and much that certain truths translate well. I’m in Australia and planning on taking refuge soon most likely in Thailand. Personal choice. I also very much have been listening y to Ajan Brahm and his lineage as well. I would like to learn more as you have said choose your teachers wisely and I have choosing Theravada teachings as part of my path. Please let me know if it is ok to ask your name. As for the teacher’s name, that would depend on who is running the channel. Many teachers prefer to remain anonymous to keep the focus on the Dhamma rather than personal identity. However, you might find out through direct communication with the channel owner.

Vishnu Purana is not older than 500 BCE. It contains altered Abhidhamma, proving that Abhidhamma is very old.

You're absolutely right according to Theravāda Buddhist teachings. The Buddha clearly stated that karma is a personal responsibility, and no one-not even the Buddha himself-can erase or intervene in another person’s karma. Each being reaps the results of their own actions (kamma), and liberation comes through personal effort, wisdom, and practice, not through the grace of an external savior.
The idea of a "savior" who can absolve sins or grant enlightenment is a later development influenced by other religious traditions. In Buddhism, the Buddha is a teacher (satthā), not a savior. His role was to show the path, but walking it is up to each individual.
As the Dhammapada (verse 276) states:
"You yourselves must strive; the Buddhas only point the way."
