Honestly Emelia the white would standout alot more with the new Carbon Fiber splitter, Diffuser, and Canards. Plus you'll have alot more options for new wheels with the main body color being white.
The pearl on the Bianco Fuji will make the lines of the car and widebody kit pop better and be more pronounced than Grigio Medio, which is basically just a flat grey like every other flat grey. You're going to have the same issues with Grigio Medio that you do with the current color in that it will soak up light and make everything look flat rather than reflecting light and creating more pronounced shadows that highlight the lines.
Bianco Avus is the better color white over Fuji it looks more sporty has better contrast and less pearl. White is the best color on a 458 it took me five 458s to figure this out 😂

Cut a straight piece of allen and then use a gearwrench to run bolts in or out. If you can't fit the box end ratchet wrench you can still use the open end to wrench it out.

Viola Hong Kong Purple! Even the Signal Green would look sick on the 458 as well too! imo the 458 is such a crazy looking car that white and gray are colors too plain for it. Something vibrant that showcases its exotic aggressiveness is best hands down!

I think you should do the ferrari in Viola Hong Kong Purple. Super dark but when the light hits it, it shines like a gem. Plus I dont think you have a purple car in the fleet yet.
@@tinystar3010 it is a Ferrari colour there are sf90's in that colour and there is a Ferrari 488 pista spider in that colour and it does look nice, and it wasn't that they refused to fix it but they did her a solid on the labour if she put it back to a Ferrari colour.

Rosso Mugello is Ferrari's deep, almost maroon red. It is a color that's been seen as far back as the 599 GTO and F430, as well as on special models like the Monza SP. This deep red looks almost stealthy, and pairs well with either Silver or Gold accents.and looks really cool with carbon too, greatings from france. good luck with the color choice
Yuss! Rosso Mugello! Great colour for the 458 deep and rich and would look great in the California sunshine. Goes really nicely with carbon (gloss or matt) as well.
I remember seeing a one of a kind Ferrari in the mid 60's. It was a Drogo with a similar look to the Bizzarini. Quite different from any other Ferrari of the period and painted in a red that was a bit deeper maybe a precursor to the Rosso Mugello. Turns out it belonged to James Coburn. My Brothers and I saw it on the streets of Studio City and followed it and found it parked so one of us ran home to get the family camera and we were able to get photos. I was just now watching the Ferrari challenge race at Brands Hatch and there were some interesting colors on those race cars. Some that Emelia might consider.
As far back as the 430? Not that long ago. And Mugello goes way further back. It's a poor choice. Non-metallic and will completely flatten every single line and surface of the car.

I'd go for the Grigio Medio. Love metallic grays. Concerning the ZF trans in the GT-40, the issue could be a bent shift fork or it's not adjusted correctly. It doesn't look like it has a lot of hours on it, but if it does, shaft bearings could bad.
You obviously know your ZF's. As far as color choices though i have to disagree. Greys in all manner of shades and luminescence are all over the road now from pick up trucks to Porsches.
The white would make the additions stand out a bit more and adds contrast. Alternative Ferrari colors to think of if you can get them: Rosso Rubino, Bronzo Masaru, and I know you said no blue but Turchese Dry Opaco 🤤
I have had a few cars in Rubino. If there's something that colour does not do, is to show lines. A great colour, have it on my Puro, but not for that car. For a white, Bianco Fuji For a grey, Aluminion Lucido For a red, do it different and choose Rosso Libano
The bright yellow. I made a couple of driving errors over the last 10yrs and because of the yellow other drivers avoided collisions seeing me coming. Take note of the GT40 when driving it. When it's sold you will have a highly visible yellow Ferrari contrasted with carbon fibre details. Stunning. ....!
Apologies 1st. Ferrari should let you come up with a new colour that they can offer to new clients. Your choice for that car was sober and stylish representing their brand well. Watching your channel I feel happier with your car not riding perfectly but looking it's best the way you chose it to be. Just like the rest of the Ferrari owners. Trade it in on a newer hotter Ferrari and paint the new one your blue. Then they will feel the way you do. Love your ads. I like the Oyster Metalic, to keep it similar you might like Verde Militare. Ferrari really has to many colors, several of the yellow, golds, greens, blue, and reds are all really sharp.
If you want something along similar lines to what you have but still be traditional Ferarri, there's Verde Abetone green. I saw an F40 that colour and it looks amazing. But if it was my car, my top choice would be Grigio Silverstone. It's a dramatic metalic grey and it really pops.
If i was rich, Enzo all day. I remember walking across the road at Scottsdale rd and Thomas. I stoped to for a second to admire a beautiful red Enzo, and the owner did not let me down. He sent her for everything she had. I can still hear and visualize that moment to this day... Whomever you are sir, thank you...
White and Grey/Silver are just so common. I'd pick one of the rarer older brighter colors from the 1980's like Azzurro Hyperion Met. or Celeste Acqua Met. or Verde Chiaro Met
Lava red body and white or gold body bolts/rim color would set it off in my opinion even throwing some white racing stripes on it would make it look really good.
Gotta say the white. Grey looks nice up close, but my experience is that it gets lost in traffic. So much so that I always triple check my mirrors when one is around because they often get lost in the blind spots. However, be careful if you ever take it near snow. White really gets lost there. Probably not a problem for you.
Love all of your videos Emelia! Having said that, I would like to point out that all debt relief services will destroy your credit for 7 years. Doin' pulls in the tunnel. That sh*t NEVER gets old! About the paint. It's a Ferrari! And all you can come up with is white or gray!?? Come on girl you only go around once. Be bold. I'm thinking that taxi cab yellow like the GT-40. There is a "back cut" on the synchro rings. That's the little catch you feel when the shifter changes gear. That back cut on the synchro ring engages the gear and that's all that holds the trans in any one gear. So I'm sure someone wasn't shifting properly and wore down the back cut.

Hey Emelia, as I was thinking about the different colors for your car, I got to wondering, could you go with a two tone paint job? I don't know any better so I thought I'd suggest it.
the 458 is my absolute fave Ferrari... its the only car id ever consider spending that much money on (besides finding a Mosler MT900 GTR). but the only color In MY Opinion that the 458 looks absolutely breath taking over all other 458's is in White (with alot of pearl) so you get that amazing Flip 'n' Flop on the high-lights n low-lights of the body lines AND also with the Carbon Fiber Roof is a MUST which would look so amazinggg with the rest of the Carbon Fiber you are having done.... that black bubble top look but with a Carbon Roof looks beyond perfect on a white 458 and since you're doing alot of Carbon already on that sick LW body kit, it would be the cherry on top if you add in the roof in addition to all your other Carbon ideas... the Carbon Roof over the white body just makes the 458 look soo much lower to the ground than it already looks and is just the epitome of perfection on those. ☆Carbon Fiber ROOF, wing, undertray, splitters, canard ☆WHITE Paintjob (with alot of pearl) ☆Red Calipers ☆Carbon Fiber Side Mirrors with the posts left in Carbon and the Mirror Buckets fully painted or just painted at the edge (like a pinstripe) where the Mirror and bucket meet in a Kandy Red so that they match the Calipers but the Carbon Fiber still shines thru ☆HRE Wheels (Competition Series C105's or the Carbon Series) ☆w/ the Yellow Prancing Horse/Scudiera Badges on the sides... uhggg 😚🤌 Hopefully ya end up reading this Emelia and you find most of that to sound as amazing as I do... I'd love to see it looking like that, otherwise I'll just have to wait until I finally get my hands on one 🤣
For the top two GT-40 trans bolts, you could cut a longer straight section of the Allen key off and use a ratcheting wrench or open end wrench to turn it. Provided there is enough room...looks like a pain.
I have had some of the 4X8 cars in various colours, and as nice as some grey colours might be, they are not very exciting. Bianco Fuji works in many ways because it is a "fun" colour that also looks good in video and photo, but seeing that you like both white and grey, the Fuji is interesting because it kind of gives you the best of both worlds. It is not pure white, it has a nice silvery tone. If you want to look further into silver, perhaps take a look at a slightly less known colour called Aluminio Lucido. It is a very intense silver with lots of sparkle. It's a great colour and somewhat unique while being an actual Ferrari colour.
Arcobaleno lucido for some white (ish). Blu genziana storico to stay in the blue pallet (more like the actual color, and is a Ferrari color) Or grigio galvano would be a beautiful change.
White and the grey look good but a Liberty Walk car is loud and in your face and it needs a color to match. Rosso Dino would look amazing on it and kinda match the Z06, plus it would make Ferrari happy because it's kinda red (like traditional Ferrari's )but in certain lights it changes and is bright orange.
Rosso Mugello I'm with Alex, but that is out of the question here so I picked the color above. :) I love the crazy pink color Stradman has on one of his Lambo's, its beautiful!
Amelia, go 458 speciale yellow with 2 carbon racing strips down the the centre of your car and do the carbon bits around the car. That would look insane.keep the rims as they are.
It is, and Ferrari has it. They named it Rosso Coburn. Sadly, they can't paint it properly. I have one car that is absolutely gorgeous, and another which is also great looking, but the colour is totally different. Best alternative to that is either Rosso Libano or Rosso Magma.
I am partial with the Grey color like on the Enzo, especially with the rims you have on it now! also with the carbon fiber !!! love ya Emelia and the E-crew !!!
Verde Pallido is a Ferrari mint green. It was originally used on a 250 GTO. I believe its available as an official special order colour so it would be difficult for Ferrari to object.

I like blue... I say go Azzurro La Plata. Gives somewhat of a Tiffany blue or GT40 vibe... standout more than White or Gray. Of those 2 I'd choose white. :)
The current blue color is magnificent and nothing to be ashamed of. On the other hand, a red car is highly visible and warns off other drivers. I am partial to white because it keeps the interior cooler and allows for A/C deletion, which does nothing to make the car go faster. With solid vibrant colors, it can easily be too much and might need to be offset with a splash, striping, or decals to break up the color.
Look into rosso fuoco, it is a rare color. It’s more of a deeper rich red. I am a Ferrari tech and once saw it on a LaFerrari and I just thought it was beautiful. The Bianco is also a nice color.

Send it TO ZF. They have a US facility in CT. I have send a few there, and they came back perfect, and years with as new performance with zero issues.

I vote going with Giallo Montecarlo, a newer color Ferrari put on the 2020 SF90 Spider. The 458 would look amazing in that color.

Doin' pulls in the tunnel. That sh*t NEVER gets old! About the paint. It's a Ferrari! And all you can come up with is white or gray!?? Come on girl you only go around once. Be bold. I'm thinking that taxi cab yellow like the GT-40. There is a "back cut" on the synchro rings. That's the little catch you feel when the shifter changes gear. That back cut on the synchro ring engages the gear and that's all that holds the trans in any one gear. So I'm sure someone wasn't shifting properly and wore down the back cut.
Nurburgring Silver, limited Ferrari use, but stunning Silver when sunlight hits it.
I am a sucker for all of the titanium metallic grey colors. They always look good with either black and metallic accents.

The anxiety that picking a paint colour for her cars really I think is trying to tell Emelia to let someone else choose. I love the ferrari green like the dark "Verde Scuro Metallico" or the "Verde Silverstone"

the 458 is my absolute fave Ferrari... its the only car id ever consider spending that much money on (besides finding a Mosler MT900 GTR). but the only color In MY Opinion that the 458 looks absolutely breath taking over all other 458's is in White (with alot of pearl) so you get that amazing Flip 'n' Flop on the high-lights n low-lights of the body lines AND also with the Carbon Fiber Roof is a MUST which would look so amazinggg with the rest of the Carbon Fiber you are having done.... that black bubble top look but with a Carbon Roof looks beyond perfect on a white 458 and since you're doing alot of Carbon already on that sick LW body kit, it would be the cherry on top if you add in the roof in addition to all your other Carbon ideas... the Carbon Roof over the white body just makes the 458 look soo much lower to the ground than it already looks and is just the epitome of perfection on those.

For the top two GT-40 trans bolts, you could cut a longer straight section of the Allen key off and use a ratcheting wrench or open end wrench to turn it. Provided there is enough room...looks like a pain.
I have had some of the 4X8 cars in various colours, and as nice as some grey colours might be, they are not very exciting.
Bianco Fuji works in many ways because it is a "fun" colour that also looks good in video and photo, but seeing that you like both white and grey, the Fuji is interesting because it kind of gives you the best of both worlds. It is not pure white, it has a nice silvery tone.
If you want to look further into silver, perhaps take a look at a slightly less known colour called Aluminio Lucido. It is a very intense silver with lots of sparkle. It's a great colour and somewhat unique while being an actual Ferrari colour.
Arcobaleno lucido for some white (ish).
Blu genziana storico to stay in the blue pallet (more like the actual color, and is a Ferrari color)
Or grigio galvano would be a beautiful change.
White and the grey look good but a Liberty Walk car is loud and in your face and it needs a color to match. Rosso Dino would look amazing on it and kinda match the Z06, plus it would make Ferrari happy because it's kinda red (like traditional Ferrari's )but in certain lights it changes and is bright orange.
I've always thought the right grey. White is great for 5% of the time, and then the rest of the time you notice the dirt.
Rosso Cina - non metallic maroon from the sixties. Or Rosso Barchetta which is newer and similar.
Burnt orange ! With many exposed carbon pieces and a large Ferrari horse graphic in flat black silhouette strategically positioned.

The "Toyota blue looks way better than any of the other colors you mentioned. Especially with the tinted windows and the wheels you have.
Amelia, go 458 speciale yellow with 2 carbon racing strips down the the centre of your car and do the carbon bits around the car. That would look insane.keep the rims as they are.
The Mazda Soul Red metallic is amazing
It is, and Ferrari has it. They named it Rosso Coburn. Sadly, they can't paint it properly. I have one car that is absolutely gorgeous, and another which is also great looking, but the colour is totally different. Best alternative to that is either Rosso Libano or Rosso Magma.

Verde Pallido is a Ferrari mint green. It was originally used on a 250 GTO. I believe its available as an official special order colour so it would be difficult for Ferrari to object.
Be different! FERRARI PAINT: Verde Pallido(mint) or Azzurro la plata(Powder Blue)
These Ferrari guys are cool. OGs lean OEM for a reason.

The BLUE! It looks so good in blue. There are so many white and gray cars it's so over done by OEM vendors.
Giallo Triplo Strato would be good, triple layer metallic yellow with black stripes and the carbon fibre will complement each other very well.
Grigio Medio with the carbon would look amazing
Ppf and clear wrap either matte or glosss is a must for that deal your making

Is there a detent that keeps a shift rod from moving and in your case move out of First gear? Is there a weak or stuck spring involved?
I like blue... I say go Azzurro La Plata. Gives somewhat of a Tiffany blue or GT40 vibe... standout more than White or Gray. Of those 2 I'd choose white. :)
The current blue color is magnificent and nothing to be ashamed of. On the other hand, a red car is highly visible and warns off other drivers. I am partial to white because it keeps the interior cooler and allows for A/C deletion, which does nothing to make the car go faster. With solid vibrant colors, it can easily be too much and might need to be offset with a splash, striping, or decals to break up the color.
Look into rosso fuoco, it is a rare color. It’s more of a deeper rich red. I am a Ferrari tech and once saw it on a LaFerrari and I just thought it was beautiful. The Bianco is also a nice color.
Bianco Avus with the original NART Blue on the Ferrari 158 F1 car driven by John Surtees in 1964.

God I have such a soft spot for the 458. I drove one at our local track Ascari. The tour de France blue is very very nice on it.
