Since it was super requested, the next video will be on dip pens and how to use them.. unless you want to see a different vid! :) I hope you guys like the voice over format..if not, tell me! Thanks for watching guys!
I can't wait for that video to be uploaded! I always wanted to know how to use them and which ones i should buy ^~^ and i love that the voice overs are back! I remember back then when you did them haha
Thank you so much! I'm going to try to look for the Finetech palette in the UK actually :-) In regards to watercolour, what pen do you use to outline? I want to find one which is very fine but that i can outline before colouring with watercolour. I love these videos!
MyPetiteCakes Ah thank you so much~ I'm doing an art nouveau piece but I've only sketched it in pencil haha :-) Your sketchbook video is so inspiring, when my summer one is finished I'll definitely make one myself! I want to become as good even as your 16y/o self since it's only a couple months till I'm 17
This video was set up so nicely. The music in the back was relaxing, but not to loud. You compared everything so nicely. I wish I could like more than once!
I need that Finetec Palette in my life. Need it! Also, you should try making your own gold ink using Pearl Ex pigments and gum arabic. I experimented with that over the weekend and the results are incredible! You can control how thick or thin the ink is by the amount of gum arabic and water you mix into the pigment, and you can also make your own metallic watercolor cakes if you let the mixture dry out. There's plenty of different types of golds to choose from, as well. I'm a metallic paint psycho, so I love trying all of them out, but the inks I made with Pearl Ex are, so far, my favorite.
I have been watching ink comparison videos all day long and this is the first one where I didn't wish someone had covered a certain aspect of the inks or I didn't wish there was another angle. You covered everything, this was so unbelievably helpful. Thank you so much for making this! PS: You are extremely talented. Your art popping in every so often with the music in the background made this such a beautiful video!
i've actually spoken to store employees about the pigment settling at the bottom for ph. martins. they said to hold it upside down for a bit and continually shake it . it should be good its not really a drawback on ph martins they are my favourite brand for ink and watercolours!
+MyPetiteCakes Yes i know that they are pretty expensive , but you can get better blending quality markers and they are not copics so you won't give all that money and i think that they are better than copics. What is that markers?? TOUCFIVE! I use touchfive markers , you can see at my channel , and they are pretty awsome👌😍 The blending quality of them clearly better than copics. You can also see how Touchfive markers blend at Zyra Bañez's copic alternatives video! But if we gotta talk about pigment & color , copics are better. Copic have more sets than Touchfives , they have more color. People say that copic colours are so vivid , bright! So copics are better at colors according to touchfive markers. And there is a marker that i dont remember the number in Touchfive markers , that marker is just like colorles blender , well , i used that so many times as blender and it totally worked awsome 🙈🙈🙈 And you can use that marker as so light skin tone , that one is my favourite! 🌸You can blend different colors in Touchfive so well as well!! ( yes a weird sentence 😂 ) And i hsve 81 set for 64 dolars , then the last time i looked they were 40 dolars!! They are so cheap and SO DAMN good! I got them from aliexpress. Ylu can try them if you want!!! :)
This is a fantastic video. I appreciate that you seem to understand that we the viewers may have time constraints and therefore you give a concise review with examples. Thank you very much. This video made my day.
Ooooh I personally like how the FineTech Watercolour turned out. Interesting video, love love love how gold watercolour looks in artworks, really pops out!
So nice to see your comparisons but I really think the Finetec golds were my fav because it has so many shades to match my projects! Obviously different reasons to have each one! Thank you for doing your video and am your newest follower!! So clever to use these in all your projects and not limit yourself!
Thanks you for this video! I finally decided to get myself the Finetec Gold Palette, well my boyfriend got it for me during Christmas. All of these were hard to come by from where i'm from. Lucky we found that Finetec was carried at a specialty calligraphy shop just a bus ride away from where I live.
Really nice review! Thank you for it! You helped me decide what I'll purchase for a project. Oh, also, I subscribed. Also, that last single brush over black and white surfaces to show the ink's/watercolor's performance was inspired and sooooo helpful! Glad to meet you here on RUclips! I'll be watching!
This is *tremendous*, for me. The first gold ink I bought was Speedball, which, yes, is pretty watery and artificial. Glad to know the qualities of the other options.
Hey,I know I'm late to the party, but I went to my local art shop lately, and bought some gold ink for a project. I don't know if it's only a european thing, but I found the best ink ever. So beautiful ! Amsterdam Acrylic Ink in the shade "Deep Gold" by Royal Talens. Deep, shiny gold,so smooth,so satisfying, lots of pigment !
I think I'm going to buy some of these gold watercolors on my next paycheck. I just bought the Dr Ph Martins watercolor. Also if anyone buys the Speedball India black ink don't forget to clean the cap...just like the Windsor & newton bottle she described in the video.
This has definitely inspired me to use gold ink in my artwork and bullet journaling! I also wondered if you've ever tried Liquitex's acrylic ink in iridescent bright gold and if so, what are your opinions about it?
Lovely video. Thanks for doing this. I've been painting with watercolor for some many years... but I'm always afraid of experimenting with gold/silver inks... mainly because they tend to change so much in between brands... and also, because each one reacts in such a different way... Once again, thank you. :)
I mostly use Gold ecoline! Unlike normal ecoline, it is really thick and pigmented and looks like melted gold in the bottle. You can easily water it down to make it more sheer and more liquidy. You don't have to shake it often.
By the way, white ecoline is really cool too! It's isn't sheer like normal ecoline, it's really opaque! It is quite thick, but not as thick as golden ecoline. I like to use it for highlights or I water it down to make smoke, mist, etc.
Im just starting watercoloring and art because of you XD your such an inspiration and AMAZING artist, I'm glad i can learn things from you so i can ease into it and know my options XD
Hello! I absolutely love your work and have started to attempt at watercolour myself! I was actually wondering about the tool you used at 2:03 since it seems like something interesting to work with and I can't seem to find what its called :3
im surprised on your thoughts about the windsor newton gold ink, mine has given me so much trouble. also yeah, clean the edges, mine barely has a cap at this point.
Hello! I recently purchased a bottle of Dr. Ph. Martin's iridescent gold because I watched this video but then I realized that I'd never really used an ink like this before where I didn't know what it would do to my brushes. So I was just wondering, when you use this ink, do you use a dry brush or wet? And how would you clean said brush? Could you just wash it under running water? (Same with a dip pen I suppose; would you clean it the same way?) Thank you very much and I loved this video!
You can use a wet/damp brush. Also, wash it in a bucket/container of water immediately after using the ink because it'll be difficult to remove it later when the ink has dried.
Great video! I wasn't happy about Speedball gold ink too :( I had gold Ecoline, gold Pen-Touch Pen and few others but it was great to see this comparison! Thanks for sharing these informations.
This Gold Ink from Winsor&Newton is dope! I was thinking about buying it, but I wasn't sure if it would be a good purchase, but now I am! Your video helped a lot
Thank you for this. I'm currently obsessed with gold and I absolutely love my Kuratake gold pallette. But I've also bought some other stuff like the P.H. Martin that I haven't opened yet. Now I can't wait to get to my craft room and grab some golds! Ps. Love your art! ~Velvet
Tip for opening acrylic ink: stand the bottle in hot (but not too hot or the glass will break) water for 5 mins. Immediately open. Works for acrylic paint tubes too.
how do you use ink with dip pens? i mean, you can dip your pen if using like winsor and newton one, but what abt finetec? do you use that with your pen? how? by the way, i'm having a hard time using thw winsor and newton gold. idk if i'm doing wrong or it's something does with the nib. i've shake my ink, and dip my pen into the jar, but it wont glide smoothly when i try using my pen, it's ok with brush, tho. i wonder if it's because my nib is small, but i have no problem with the silver one. FYI, i'm using the maru-pen nib.
Thanks for the advice! I actually went out to hobby lobby today and picked up some Dr. Ph Martins! Would you be able to do a video on the type of watercolor paper you use?
Thanks so much for uploading this helpful video! In fact, I'm now ordering a Finetec gold pallette for myself. Btw, what was the music at the 3:31 - 3:42 mark? I'm in love with the tune! Thanks again. :)
Since it was super requested, the next video will be on dip pens and how to use them.. unless you want to see a different vid! :) I hope you guys like the voice over format..if not, tell me! Thanks for watching guys!
Voice over is great
I can't wait for that video to be uploaded! I always wanted to know how to use them and which ones i should buy ^~^ and i love that the voice overs are back! I remember back then when you did them haha
That would be great and i love the voice-overs
this review is
golden
Lark wtf
Lark damn!
That pun was pure gold.
Lol
I always receive questions on what gold i use on my art, so here's a video all about it!
Thank you so much! I'm going to try to look for the Finetech palette in the UK actually :-) In regards to watercolour, what pen do you use to outline? I want to find one which is very fine but that i can outline before colouring with watercolour. I love these videos!
Hi thank you! The micron 005 pen is really fine and the ink is waterproof :) I personally usually use dip pens!
You are golden
+ilike pi hello D.O

GummyTumor sounds cool! I should buy some gum arabic..i feel like theres a thousand uses for it haha.
GummyTumor it doesn't even have to be pearlescent pigment

It's just me, or the video goes silent at the end?
Same, i thought it was only me
Probably had copyrighted music at the end that had to be removed?
I appreciate how your videos are concise. You provide your opinion alongside clear comparisons without rambling on. Very helpful. Thanks!
i've actually spoken to store employees about the pigment settling at the bottom for ph. martins. they said to hold it upside down for a bit and continually shake it . it should be good its not really a drawback on ph martins they are my favourite brand for ink and watercolours!
YOKO3636 thank you so much I was curious about it and now I wont be scared to use it...since I already bought it
Thanks!!!
Did anyone else loose the audio at 3:02 minutes, or is it just me?
You're so pro, bae ♡
Do you use copics? I've been interested in them lately.
studiolorien Hey beautiful

Thank you this was the most helpful video. I'm wanting a really glittery gold and this was a great way to see them up close! Winsor and Newton it is!
This is a fantastic video. I appreciate that you seem to understand that we the viewers may have time constraints and therefore you give a concise review with examples. Thank you very much. This video made my day.
Since you guys are curious in what "tool" she's using in 2:03 it's a pen, a dip pen
Ooooh I personally like how the FineTech Watercolour turned out. Interesting video, love love love how gold watercolour looks in artworks, really pops out!
Could you do a tutorial on body forms like the examples shown in your sketchbook tour?
Mmmmm gold ink
So nice to see your comparisons but I really think the Finetec golds were my fav because it has so many shades to match my projects! Obviously different reasons to have each one! Thank you for doing your video and am your newest follower!! So clever to use these in all your projects and not limit yourself!
so pretty! i absolutely LOVE the look of gold ink/watercolor. great video as always!
this is so aestheticly pleasing
I don't know if it's just my phone or something but the audio goes dead at 3:02. There's just silence
I loveeeee that your doing voice overs 💞
So informative...and illustrating them all in the way you did was an added bonus.
This is the first video I've watched of yours but I love your style and I think you did a great job of reviewing and explaining the different paints
Can you please do a review on good white opaque inks/paints??? I'm always wary on what to buy...
Wow! What camera do you use??
fernanditachata Canon 60d :)
absolutely wonderful video my dear! what is the dip pen you were using at 2.05? looked like bamboo with no nib.....
Sounds cuts off at. 3:00 but shows a comparison after
You might like the Kuretake Gold Mica Ink. It's so shimmery!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
you can coat threads of bottle w Vaseline to reduce drying/sticking of the cap
LOVE your camera work! very relaxing to watch!
Another gold paint on the market now is Kremer Watercolor - IRIODIN® 320 BRIGHT GOLD PEARL, Pale Gold. It's awesome!
The gold really pops in your art. Beautiful!
which shade of gold are you using for the finetech palette? :)
This is *tremendous*, for me. The first gold ink I bought was Speedball, which, yes, is pretty watery and artificial. Glad to know the qualities of the other options.
What is the name of the tool you used at 2:03?
kpop4life A.R.M.Y a dip pen
Jayjae420 A.R.M.Y it was either a crow quill or hawk quill
Hey,I know I'm late to the party, but I went to my local art shop lately, and bought some gold ink for a project. I don't know if it's only a european thing, but I found the best ink ever. Kang Trix A Dip Pen.

im surprised on your thoughts about the windsor newton gold ink, mine has given me so much trouble. also yeah, clean the edges, mine barely has a cap at this point.
I've had a lot of luck opening the dried up winsor and newton ink bottles by soaking the top in hot water!
Wow I love the palette and the PH one!
Hi! Out of the 5 Finetec golds, which are the closest to a gold color (not artificial looking) and which is your favorite of the 5 Finetec golds?
Few days ago I got W&N ink and I'm in love with it! Thank you for this video :)
Hello! I recently purchased a bottle of Dr. Ph. So much gold where did you buy all the brush you use to paint??? Please reply
I have been looking for the this video for weeks! Thought I lost it for ever!!
Great video! What kind of dip/calligraphy pens do you use? :)
Tip for opening acrylic ink: stand the bottle in hot (but not too hot or the glass will break) water for 5 mins. Immediately open.
Works for acrylic paint tubes too.
I just ordered the finetec pallet, but i'm thinking about getting the Dr. ph ink now too! Thanks for the advice
what were you using to write with the ph martins gold ink ?? it's amazing ...
I think you should try the Pentel Gold Poster Paint. It's really good!
just got the ph Martin gold, thanks for the informative video
thanks for sharing these info., one question what type of brushes do u use? it looks so sharp for details😊
I don't care for ASMR but this has the same satisfying effect for me.
I can't find your Second sketchbook tour. Can you put the Link into the description box, please?
what kinda camera do you use? it's really good quality!
Thank you! I've been looking for a good review of gold ink, and yours was perfection!
If you want to change a colored pen into a metallic-colored pen, where do you send it?
Have you ever used Kurtake Gansai Tambi golds?
how do you use ink with dip pens? i mean, you can dip your pen if using like winsor and newton one, but what abt finetec? do you use that with your pen? how?

Have you tried the Gansai Tambi Starry set?
Thks for the review, it was super useful and beautifully made
Very informative review! Yay for gold ink!
fav is w&n ! fab
AHHH idk if u did voice over videos earlier but this is the first to me! i always wondered how your voice sounded like
Thanks for the advice! I actually went out to hobby lobby today and picked up some Dr. Ph Martins! Would you be able to do a video on the type of watercolor paper you use?
Katerina Hutchins I use cold pressed arches watercolor paper! I'm not sure if I can make a whole video on that haha!
Thanks so much for letting me know! I'll have to try it out.
Wonderful video. Well done! How about Ecoline Talens Gold? What do you think?
Thank you for the helpful video! What's the name of a brush that you used for Dr. Ph. Martin's gold colour?
Do you know why the gold ink I am using is looking tarnished, or losing it's shine?
You have no idea how many times I’ve watched this.
the iridescent one is not as opaque because i think iridescent means something like sheer :0 like its supposed to be softer
Thanks so much for uploading this helpful video! In fact, I'm now ordering a Finetec gold pallette for myself. Btw, what was the music at the 3:31 - 3:42 mark? I'm in love with the tune! Thanks again. :)
can you please tell me where you got all your art supplies from
I love your videos, and your voice sound good !! :D
great video. Love comparison videos...
Great video. I love the music. May I ask you what it is?.
J. Herbin ink is amazing. Try it!

No te entiendo nada pero no importa, el arte me ayuda a entenderte, amiga
